The TRUTH behind why Sarah Palin dismissed her State trooper security detail in 2007.

Story time kids! Come gather around, Uncle Gryphen has a little truth to tell.

Let us go back, back to the days when Sarah Palin was a spanking new Governor and had not yet disappointed the Alaskan people. Back before she got too big for her britches and believed she could be Vice President of the United States.
Isn’t that silly kids? Can you just imagine Sarah Palin as Vice President of the United States?

Oh I am sorry, don’t cry! Uncle Gryphen would NEVER let that happen.

Well anyhow back in the beginning of 2007, Sarah Palin was driving around Wasilla with two of her children in the car, and a state trooper security detail which followed behind to make sure she and the children were safe. All of the Alaska Governors have a security detail, and so did Sarah Palin.

Suddenly the Governor stopped her car in front of a house which had a party going on inside.

She jumped out of the car, leaving it running with the doors unlocked, and went inside. The state troopers watched this happen, looked at each other, and said “WTF”?

Now the state troopers are not supposed to interfere with the Governor in any way. They are just supposed to make sure she and her family are safe, so they sat in their car and waited for Sarah to re-emerge. Since it was winter time in Alaska they could not imagine that she would leave her children unattended for long, but sometimes even the state troopers are wrong.

Fifteen minutes go by. No Sarah.

Thirty minutes go by. No Sarah.

Forty five minutes go by. Still NO Sarah.

Now all of this time the Governor’s car has been left running with two of her children still inside (NO I don’t know which ones, but I can guess. Can you?). Finally the state trooper, who was quite concerned about the children, walked up to the house to knock on the door.

When the door was opened the trooper politely asked if he could speak to the Governor.

Sarah was having lots and lots of fun, while her children were outside breathing in noxious exhaust fumes from her car, so she was VERY unhappy with the trooper. “How dare you embarrass me” She said!

The trooper tried to explain his concern for the children, but Sarah was very unhappy with him and said many hurtful and insulting things to the officer for simply doing his job. The message was clear - They report to her...and NEVER the other way around!

Governor Palin was SO upset that the state trooper in her security detail tried to protect her family, that she told them to mind their own business, and that from now on she did not WANT a security detail monitoring her in her own backyard! And do you know what children? She NEVER had one again whenever she was in Wasilla. Not even when she claimed that she and her family were in mortal danger from her dangerous ex-brother-in-law!

You see apparently the Governor thought it was more important NOT to have people watching her parent her children, than it was to keep them safe. Or well fed, because she also got rid of her personal chef in Juneau. Children do you recognize a pattern?

And that is the story of why Sarah Palin was the first Governor to EVER dismiss her very own security detail.

The End

P.S. I have been making phone calls all day and have learned from multiple sources, one of them once very close to the Governor, that NOBODY knew about any threats made against Sarah Palin's children while living in Juneau. Not one! Isn't that interesting?

And of course if the Juneau story had been true, it would make the fact that Sarah Palin later dismissed her security detail even more troubling, now wouldn't it?

Update: I have received an interesting piece of information that states I may have my timeline wrong. There is no doubt the incident took place but WHEN it took place seems to be in question. When I get clarification I will update.

why am I not surprised? could you just imagine then, if one of the kids knocked it in drive and there was an accident? she would have blamed the security, and not herself for leaving them in the car with it running!

  9. What a piece of work exGINO is! I wish those Troopers would of had the balls to report her - yet I understand why they would be afraid for their jobs. Now that they have been thrown under the bus (re the Juneau non-incident), I hope they will speak up.

  14. Clarifications.

No it was not the Johnston house.

There was a party going on (It could have been a Christmas party, I did not ask), so no there was no hanky panky. Just negligence in my opinion.

My sources did not know if the children were awake or asleep so I cannot speak to that either.

Uncle Gryphen, tell us another story. please tell us the one about Sarah taking brand new baby Trig for a ride in an SUV, holding him on her lap instead of making sure that the child was safely buckled into an approved infant car seat. Wasn't she stopped for that one too? I think the excuse was that it was private land, instead of sorry, I'll remember next time. You must have more details, and I'm sure that there are more stories like this.

Isn't there also a story about Sarah dragging Trig along on a prison inspection tour, nice place to bring a baby?

  21. Old news, really. Think it was covered by a couple of AK blogs over a year ago but none of the MSM ever picked up on it.

My question is: if this story is true then why didn't the trooper do his job and charge her with child endangerment?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I just couldn't get through it all - Baldwin/Bassinger and Spears/Federline - what the **** does that have to do with the Palins? Oh, I forgot, they are international celebrities and thus their personal space must be protected for the sake of the child. Bull hockey!

At one time, I had hope that maybe Bristol, Levi, and Tripp could get away from the circus that is Palin, but that does not seem to be an option any longer. I am sad as I always hope the kids and babies can make it on their own. But I doubt that any of the girls will successfully break away from SP. I hope Track is able to walk away from his family. How sad is that?

Wow. Just, wow. Would love to know your sources if possible- I trust they are reliable? I know you wouldn't publish anything you were confident of, but it would go a long way to ensure credibility now that you are starting to emerge into the spotlight! (I saw that HP quoted IM! Way to go!)

I honestly don't know how much more of this I can take. I work with children/young adults on a daily basis and I have to live with the knowledge that some of them, many of them, are not dealt the best hands in life. So I do what I can to pick up slack and I have means of reporting if need be.

Palin's negligence haunts me because I knew one of her children well "back in the day",yet interestinly enough- never had the "pleasure" of meeting Sarah herself. As this child moved on in life, we lost touch. To know of these things Palin does to neglect her children and see her not only get away with it, but PROFIT from it eats away at my very soul. I know this may sound dramatic, but I'm a Libra and I'm all about justice. This woman needs to meet Karma square in the face and pay up.

She needs to be stopped!

What is so dismaying for me is the Harper Collins folks have to know that Sarah Palin is a fake and a phony. There has to be some intelligent people working for that publishing company. Yet, they put our country at risk by promoting her. They make me mad more than she does. We KNOW that she is an incurable psychological mess. IF some of the people, like McCain and other GOP'ers keep giving her credibility, then the bloggers have to keep exposing her.

Remember that lady that ran into the hardware store for like two minutes with the kids in the van with the van running, and the van electrical started on fire and some of the kids died?

But if it was two of Sarah's kids, then one would have been old enough to take care of Piper. Not to stick up for the action at all, I think it is horrible. But I think the law applies to younger children.

Still doesn't look good for her to leave them stuck there for 45 minutes while she goes to party.

I don't think that the Troopers could actually do anything about Sarah's treatment of her kids. They were on a security detail to protect her. That was the mission.

Remember when George W. Bush's daughters were caught drinking when they were underage. The Secret Service were only charged with protecting them. We all agree; they could has said something discreet to the Bush twins, and hustled them out of the bar, but that's not what they are paid for.

A friend of mine was a high school teacher, and she would cringe when a parent stormed into school to rant and rave about their kid. It because clear in a minute that the out-of-control parent was either drunk or on drugs. The teacher was helpless, and could only sympathize with the poor kid.

It really is time for those with the good old Alaska stories to step up. Sarah is a threat to American Politics; her lies are destructive to a reasonable conversation. Now, you have another reason to hand her the knock out punch: Levi! She means to trample all over him, and take away his parental rights. She is clearly orchestrating the custody fight, and she is out for blood. Do it for Levi and Tripp.

I agree with Libra, I want to see balance and fairness. I want to see justice prevail. How long did it take for Joan Crawford's daughter to step up and write "Mommy Dearest?"

I have been thinking about Bristol. What is wrong with that young lady letting her mother run her life like that. Read the court papers and you'll see she's a small modes vindictive mean girl just like her mother. I used to stick up for Bristol-she's a product of a bad environment. But she's old enough to know better. She's very spoiled and immature. Does she want to live under mommy and daddys thumb for the rest of her life? That is where she is headed. Big deal if it's next door. I'm very angry about the custody papers. Levi has never criticized her in public but she slams him in court documents!! Accuses him of smoking weed with her alcohol and drug history?? Oh she really cares about protecting Tripp!! All of this is Sarah protecting Sarah. But baby Bristol is signing her name on everything and Tripp will someday be able to read all this.

Bristol-GROW UP and stop letting Mommie dearest ruin your life. You need counseling to be strong enough to stand on your own. You need to be able to see your mother clearly. She's an unfit parent and manipulating you and others for her own agenda is SICK! Get the he'll out, run as fast as you can from being the mother in that household to all!!

It terrible that Bristol is letting her mom do all this-the best thing for the Palin kids would be to get out from Sarahs narcissistic blood thirsty paws!

It seems to me that Sarah Palin is either a lying sack of shit or an imbecile who would knowingly endanger her children's lives rather than wound her ego.

If there were indeed threats of violence directed at multiple members of her family, why would she tell nobody AND dismiss her security detail? She is either the dumbest goober in history, an insensitive lout who cares not a fat rat's ass for her family, or is simply a very maladroit liar who can't keep her convoluted stories from conflicting with one another. I suppose she could be all three.

That's the problem with lying. You have to constantly remember all of the previous lies and try and keep them straight. If you just tell the truth from the start it saves you a whole bunch of trouble.

Sarah, darling. A word of advice: the truth shall set you free.

  77. The state troopers have some really corrupt people in their ranks(along with some really great officers). I couldn't get them to investigate theft, a meth lab, and a bunch of other stuff. I have had some pretty high ranking people in the department lie, cover up, and destroy evidence. I also had an officer threaten to arrest me for asking why they would not allow me to get my possesions when I had a court order. Not charging Palin for child endangerment is really minor compared to some of the things that go on.

    Couldn't afford a sitter.

Gee, and Sarah had free day care via those troopers.

    Pity.

The custody battle is really going to piss off a lot of her followers. Mostly the males who have lost kids due to divorce proceedings and who have first hand knowledge of what Levi will be going through.
My uncle, a first class wing nut whack job, is one of those kinds of men (both a Sarah fan and a very angry dad). He read about the shit coming from the Palin's and deleted her from his Facebook friends and threw her book in the trash. He's pissed as hell over this and can see exactly where the whole lot of them are coming from.

Thank you Uncle Gryphen! Even though it's morning and I'm wide awake now in my corner of the world, this little bedtime story will make me sleep much better tonight. Bit by bit, this selfish lunatic lying bogus dingbat will be revealed to the public for what she is.

And I'm sure her pissy little peon followers will be making excuses for this incident, too: "Well, golly gee. Sister Sarah worked so HARD as Governor, she simply HAD to take some time out to have some fun. She deserved it!" If it was all on the up-and-up, why the h**l couldn't she bring the kids inside with her? And how convenient to dismiss her security detail to not have someone aware of her every move from that point on? Every time I hear something new to add to the sketchy Palin legacy, I think of the character Mammy from Gone With The Wind shaking her head in disgust and saying, "Mmm-mmm-mmm."

Great reporting work--you are the thorn in Buttercup's side, baby!

Wow! Much to ponder. Like the Sarah, the witch parking spot at the Lake Lucille compound: Sarah's parking space: all others will be Toad.

Next: What if the "party" was Sarah visiting the newborn Trig after his December birth? Could this prove to be the Trig, possibly Bristol hideout? Certainly would be worthwhile finding out who owns and lives there.

Finally, Gryphen: You bid and won that lunch with Van Flein. He is an attorney and you, in effect, "Hired" him for lunch. Thus any information he makes public that came out of your discussions with him that day is a violation of the client/lawyer privilege.

  87. This is classic manic depressive bi-polar behavior. I know first hand, as my mother was diagnosed when I was 10. I do agree with many other posters about Sarah having NPD and being a sociopath, but this is textbook erratic behavior with absolutely no thought about consequences.

Children of bi-polar parents are often put into dangerous situations, often neglected, and abused emotionally by the tirades and whims that come with the disease. Todd is complicit in the abuse if he doesn't get his wife medical/psychiatric help.

I would imagine there are many more stories of Sarah's wild behavior, probably some of them that Levi has been witness to.

Anonymous 4:12: Sorry--that's just not the case. There's no attorney/client relationship that's created by having lunch with someone, regardless of the circumstances. The relationship is a contractual one, created by the understanding that a lawyer is either being consulted about potential representation or is actually retained to behalf on one's behalf.

In this case, Van Flein was Palin's lawyer. He was not consulted by Gryphen as a potential lawyer and that did not create an attorney/client relationship.

Nor did the lunch qualify as a waiver of the privilege for Van Flein's confidential communications with Palin. The only way that would have happened would be if Van Flein had disclosed communications from Palin to him which were intended to be kept confidential. The mere acknowledgment of the fact of representation (which already was public) didn't do it.

For heavens sake, if it gets cold enough, they start the car or come in and bug us to leave. Where is the child endangerment? I have been on this blog and others for over a year following the travesty that is Sarah Palin and when things start to unravel, I get a sick feeling in my stomach that portends something to come. Well the two kids still in the care could have been Bristol and Willow is that correct? Teenagers. When I first read the story I was horrified thinking of two small children trapped in a car in the snow, then thought about it for a second and realized there were no small children(Trig or Tripp) yet. Two teens left in the car is not the same thing. I have teens who would rather be left in the car then stop by some old people party.

The only part of the story that is bad is that Palin says there were threats against her two oldest daughters then proceeds to leave them alone, but again for this instance they did have security watching them. So not so bad either.

Going back to WHEN this happened. December 2007? Can you confirm? Would Scarah not have been like 8 months pregnant with Little Trigger in December 2007? (That is assuming she is Trigger's mother which is NOT happening for me).

Definitely crack - she's so hypped that even the Prayer Fest won't help (as if it would). The drug use in Alaska has skyrocketed since Scarah got put in charge.

And yes, Bristol sure tanked in my opinion. I was actually feeling a bit sorry for her - but whoever said that she's growing up to be a "mean girl" just like her mom, was telling it right. She lost any and all possible remote respect she ever would have had with this stupid lawsuit.

Scarah needs to face charges for child neglect but in Alaska, locking your kid in a car is obviously considered "Child Care".

Sarah's parenting skills leave much to be desired. When she dragged Piper along for a three week book tour, Piper missed school (again) and was up at all hours.

We saw how poorly Trig was treated, being shown off to a crowd of fans on a cold winter night. Trig was wearing only a shirt and diapers, and it was 11 PM!

Sarah could have presented her family (and her family values) to the GOP at the convention, but then the kids belonged at home, going to school. Instead, they were bounced around for two months, missing school while acting as Sarah's photo props.

And while we are on the subject of mistreatment and child custody, the desire to keep the hearings closed is laughable. It is Sarah who put her kids out there as photo ops, and compromised their privacy by disclosing Bristol's pregnancy. Sarah is the one who put Levi on the stage. Sarah put Bristol on the cover of People Magazine, and on TV with Greta. So much for keeping Tripp away from unwanted publicity.

Sarah uses and misuses her kids without thinking of the consequences. Since Bristol lives with her, and is dependent on Sarah for housing, food and upkeep, Sarah's actions should be considered as well.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Leaving kids without an adult in a running car is AGAINST THE LAW everywhere. Everywhere. The state trooper was there to protect the family, not to act as a nanny.

A woman I know left a sleeping toddler in her car while she ran into a store--and not for "a minute," but for almost an hour--and nearly lost custody to CPS.

This not just some of that mavericky behavior of which folks in picturesque places like to boast, to show how "independent" they are... this is child endangerment.

Sorry, doubters, this dog don't hunt.

And yes, my parents did the same thing as $P, on a number of occasions, and with no trooper, either. True, I'm alive today, but that was just ONE in a long list of their f*cked-up "parenting practices." Just because kids "survive" such mistreatment doesn't make it okay.

  110. Anonymous7:29 AM

    To Anonymous 6:25--

I don't think the scandal is so much that she left her kids in a warm, running car for 45 minutes.

The scandal is that she actually *dismissed her security detail* because she felt "embarrassed" by them coming to the door. That she never allowed them to cover for her again while in Wasilla shows how vindictive she is.

I have a brother who is NPD and a pathological liar like she is. He always has to have the upper hand in every situation. If he feels slighted or embarrassed in any way, he will strike out at the moment and continue to hold a grudge forever. It's almost as though the anger and bitterness fuels him.

He is also very handsome and charismatic, so people are taken in for awhile. I see the same thing in her and am thankful she didn't get into the White House.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Anonymous7:49 AM

What about Piper? I automatically thought that the kids must have been Willow and Piper, since they were the youngest. Sarah tends to haul Piper everywhere, right? Willow would have been twelve and Piper six. I believe where we are, a twelve-year-old is old enough to babysit a sibling, but that may have changed since my kids were that age. Why couldn't she simply have left them safely at home? Maybe somebody didn't realize she was going to a party, and she didn't want him to know? Also, if the kids were in the car she could say, "I just ran in for a minute... no, of course it wasn't an hour, you know how kids exaggerate!" Having the kids with her would provide protective coloration to whatever she was doing, and yes, she would have been "pregnant" in December of 07.

She's amazingly careless and stupid about obvious things.

  112. Regardless of what combination of children it was, it seems to me it would have been the responsible, adult decision to take the children home and then go to her party. But, then I realize we are talking about Sarah Palin, who is responsible only to whatever she happens to want at the moment. And her response to the Trooper? Again, it is Queen Esther of North coming through, how dare he embarrass her, bla, bla, bla. Reminded me of the hairdresser in Salt Lake being told not to address Her Royal Highness unless she spoke to her. This woman is sick and disgusting and needs heavy medication. Apparently Bristol is the perfect understudy to $P. She is mean, vindictive and petty. Levi has never, ever made any comment in all of the interviews he has done that was anything but respectful towards Bristol, which is obviously more than she deserves. Just sayin'... there is no need to jump to conclusions about The Bogus Queen drinking, doing drugs, etc. It makes those comments appear vindictive and trashy, just like her. There is no evidence to that effect, nor implication.

There is no need to exaggerate her stupidity and arrogance - it stands all by itself in a dandy way. Yes, if this happened in Dec 2007 she was supposedly pregnant. Just like she was supposedly pregnant, full of "feel good, motherly" hormones when she was on Eddie Burke's radio show and trashed Lyda Green. She's simply a nasty snake in the grass, pure and simple - whether pregnant or not.

The story here is not about doing something illicit while visiting a party - it's that she's a bitch, she's extremely arrogant, she lied big time, and as usual has been shown to be a selfish and negligent parent.

The Troopers have a very rocky relationship with Plastic Quitty - add this revelation to her lies about Willow's situation in Juneau and things could get very ugly for her in this regard. It's time for their official response to both issues. I am extremely offended that she lies about Juneau (over and over) since Juneau has been my home forever and it's all bull crap.

I am also looking forward to the Juneau Empire refuting the MegA Mouth whopper about threats to the kids. They have been more diligent about investigative reporting on her lies than any other news media, putting the ADN and Daily News Miner to shame.

We do realize why she operates this way, right? Her gossipy, bitchy stabs at everyone around her? It's because she thinks she can fly in under the radar of true media reporting because it would look petty to report on all this juvenile and personal behaviour. Just like her pregnancy questions - she thinks it's all off limits for anyone or any legitimate organization to report on.

It's her hubris and assumptions which will bring her to her ugly knees. I will be writing to my home newspaper, and the others (though nearly worthless)to ask them to do their job and some real reporting.

Join me in writing to the editorial staff at the Juneau Empire, the ADN, and Fairbanks Daily News Miner. Demand the truth. This is what our media was born for - it's their JOB and they have not been doing it.

Meanwhile, she tries to discredit and attack every non media source who steps up to oppose her. This is partly why people won't come forward. This is the media's job and force them to wake up and smell Sarah's stench.

To Anonymous 6:09 and 6:25, sorry to disagree.

Leaving any underage minors in a car in the cold with the motor running for 45 minutes is not good parenting. If you defend this, perhaps you need to look at your own parenting ethics.

There are plenty of folks, even in Alaska, that would love to get a car and kids. Sure, there were troopers nearby, but the principle still stands. As a parent, your duty is to be the grown-up, protect your kids, and try to avoid any circumstances that might endanger them.

Doesn't Alaska have one of the highest sexual abuse rates in the nation? Gees, leaving underage girls in an unlocked car with the keys in it - get real, it's a recipe for disaster.

Besides, how are you so sure it was two teens in that car? What about Piper?

Honestly, to say that this is not outrageous behavior and to imply that anyone who is outraged by it has to be from the Lower 48 and therefore not capable of evaluating it is silly.

Good parents think about consequences. Good parents worry. Good parents do not abandon their children in cars for 45 minutes even if the children refuse to get out of the car. Good parents take the children home, arrange for adequate supervision and then go out if they must. They do not leave minors in unlocked cars with the motor running for 45 minutes. Period. It doesn't matter where you live. Good parenting is simply good parenting and this story reeks of bad parenting by an immature, self-absorbed mother.

  118. Here in GA we've had several parents locked up this month for leaving kids in their cars while they ran into Walmart or some other store to shop. We've also had people locked up for leaving their pets in cars with the motors running. This incident should have been reported to protect the children. I can just imagine the children succumbing to carbon monoxide fumes, and it is a gruesome image. Not everyone who gives birth is a mother. Palin dismissing her security detail is reminiscent of Sanford (SC) dismissing his detail to "hike the Appalachian Trail." He also had something to cover up. The S.C. My take on this. The kids were along as a beard. The security is not supposed to talk about anything they see.

A party, ok, why leave kids out in a running car in the middle of winter.

How easy is it to bring the kids indoors, get them something from the kitchen to snack on and park them in front of a T.V.? Why leave them sitting, unless there was something Sarah felt defensive about, I'm not saying illegal, but perhaps with people present that daddy shouldn't know about like an old beau? Only the people involved know for sure why she became so irate.

Who knows, but dismissing the security detail for knocking on the door to check on things after 45 minutes isn't exactly what I would consider rational behavior.

I left my car running on my way to work once when it was below zero. An officer screamed at me. This was when I was younger. This was without any minor children in the car and I was just getting a coffee on my way to work. What kind of sense does this woman have?

Now to the trolls ...let Levi and Bristol sit down with a lawyer if need be and talk things out. The chld doesn't know now but he will read about this one day. He will know that his mother tried to keep him away from Levi. My daughter and SIL went throught a hard break up but she never kept THEIR son from him. Now it has been over 3 years and they can talk in a civil manner concerning THEIR child. Sarah stay out of it as I did and his parents did. That is what families do.

  127. Anybody who defends this behavior of leaving the kids unattended in the running vehicle for 45 minutes in severe weather conditions is NUTS. It doesn't matter if it is in Alaska. That might even make it worse, as there are fewer people around to see if something bad were to occur and to take charge. And since we've seen a number of local Bots pat themselves on the back about how many are packing, that also makes it worse.

Queen Esther would apparently have done this whether the troopers were there or not. I don't think this was a behavior that she did only because she was thinking "oh, those troopers will make sure all will be fine, otherwise I would take the kids home". It was clear she was just doing what she wanted, and the troopers were an afterthought, at least until they showed they actually had the welfare of the whole family in mind, and were not just royal window dressing.

People who defend this, there are predators out there. Some who act opportunistically, and others who know just what they are after and go on the lookout for it. For those people, two underage girls in a running vehicle are a predator's dream: running vehicle, already has the keys in it, and two girls. Carjacking can occur in just a few moments. And sometimes these predators DO work in teams, and one could do the carjacking, the other follows behind. Or they both go in the vehicle and one keeps the girls subdued. Don't think it can't happen.

Other scenarios: one of the kids puts the car in drive, tries to brake, accelerates instead, hits something and the kids are injured. Bored kids may do something stupid after 30 minutes that they would not do in just a few minutes. CO poisoning inhaling exhaust could occur. etc etc.

Sarah cannot even control herself enough to thank the troopers for their concern and keep it to herself as she thinks "what busybodies". No, because she's always right, must not be questioned in any way, all must bow to her authority.

By the way, this is why she hates Levi so much. He is supposed to dance to her tune, and now he is refusing. She's tried to force him to take some actions, and instead he is charting his own course. The ridiculous filings by Van Flein in the custody case were an attempt to get Levi's attorney to respond in just such an unprofessional way. Instead, Levi's attorney responds like a proper attorney and won't take the bait. You know she hates that. And the reason I mention Sarah is because the case has her fingerprints all over it. Good on you, Levi, for being your own man!

I wonder if WAR would take on Levi's case. I understand he is a real grizzly bear when standing up for the father's and or husband's rights.

I mean why not, Sarah's Soap is - well - a Soap. WAR would fit right into the plot of any Soap.

  138. Armchair Jane said, "It was clear $P was just doing what she wanted, and the troopers were an afterthought." In GR, $P makes a snippy comment about being reprimanded by a cop for taking a snowmobile ride with Dud one Xmas when they were younger. "Didn't he have something better to do?" complained $P, adding that this helped develop her suspicion for the nanny-like qualities of government.

Alaska residents have been quick to point out that the couple were using the snowmobile on a PUBLIC ROAD, which is illegal.

So what's changed? Only the addition of children, who don't get to decide whether Mommy Dearest breaks the law with them along.

I read somewhere that she was reprimanded once driving in an all terrain vehicle with Trig and he was not in any restraint or carrier.

Again rage at the person who caught her. I seem to recall it was Walt Mohegan?? I've read so much on this twit...

    Two points.

    1. This wasn't the only party where Palin did this. There was a well-circulated story that she went to one after Trig was born; some time after being in the house, Piper- who'd been left in the car with the baby) appeared at the door with Trig and wanted Palin to deal with dirty diapers.

    2. Your connection of this event with the alegged threat in Juneau is spot on. If her daughter had been threatened (by an on-line post, as the family claims), why on earth would they dismiss the security detail.

This claim is of the same ilk as their claim that Mike Wooten had threatened daddy Heath, and that's why the Palins were so obsessed with him.

There is at least one person (and I'm sure more) who would know if the Palins ever reported a threat to their daughter to the security detail:

Walt Monegan. Surely a threat to a child of the state's governor would be reported to the top of the chain of command.

"To those religious folks out there, I have a question. How does one know when God has blessed a decision you have made?"

If you're a small-minded religious person (and I count Sarah and her ilk as small-minded) you think that "good things" happening to you means God likes what you're doing. This is ancient thinking and something Jesus specifically spoke against.

It's simply someone projecting their own wants and desires onto God (like Sarah and her "letter from God.) "This is working out well, so God must be happy I'm doing this!" It's childish and it belittles God and how he really blesses you.

  143. To the posters who feel something bad is going to happen. I don't have that feeling at all. My BIGGEST fear actually is that NOTHING will happen and Scarah will be free to continue her destruction. Were she to have a bigger mental break or even attempt suicide, well, it won
t be all bad as at least then she may get some real honest to goodness mental health help.

kdusmdd- I have had the same feeling for nearly a year. Had a vision and so far two parts of the vision have happened. The third involves a gruesome crime.

This vision has been a nightmare as I have watched it evolve and there is nothing I can do to prevent the outcome.

  145. Great comments by many thoughtful folks here, with good memories. Most of us are walking encyclopedias of Palin lore by now.

It just amazes me that Sarah Palin had this attitude about her child care and the troopers assigned to protect her only weeks after she took office!

It's not like the title of Governor suddenly went to her head, although the perks surely might have, like the vehicle, the protection, the chef, etc.

Her arrogance in doing what she wanted preceded all that, as we all remember in her statement back when she was a mayor: "I'm the mayor, I can do whatever I want until the courts tell me I can't."

Looks like that time has finally come.

This is an example of poor parenting, and selfish parenting, definitely. However, if Palin knew the children were under the watchful eye of the State Trooper, can it really be considered child endangerment? Were she unaware they were following, then by all means, this is child endangerment, and should have been reported to CPS. Troopers are mandated reporters.

Uncle Gryphen, your facts are totally inaccurate and your event is fiction. I was the Security Detail leader during part of the Murkowski administration and the Palin administration until July, 2008. Up until that period there was never an event that you described nor were any of my detail members involved in following the governor.

GRYPHEN: Since you suggested not to write disparaging about Bristol, I have an additional suggestion: Please censor legal advice, also, too! Seems like van Flein is a nincompoop when it comes to legal affairs (9 days late in a response, using a fake twitter account as evidence, etc) - if some REAL legal experts here say stuff, that might amount to FREE LEGAL ADVICE FOR VAN FLEA!

So, if someone gives some legal advice/opinion here, I would suggest you collect it in a separate file, and forward it to Team Levi! Like that, his hands will not be shown.

Gosh, I guess the flip side of that is, if "bad things" are happening to Sarah and life is just not working out the way she thinks it ought to, it means God is slamming doors in her face.

That sounds about right....He is probably also sick and tired of all her lying and posing also too.

I just finished reading "Going Rouge" this morning and this story only adds to the disgust I now feel for this woman. I'm so sick of the Palinbots blaming everything negative in the media on Obama. He doesn't have time for the Sarah antics, nor does he care--they need to get a life.

There was a time when I admired John McCain and would have voted for him in 2000 if he ran because he really did appear to be bipartisan and more down to earth than others in politics. But after his behavior during the last 8 years, it was easy to see it would be another four years of "W" crap if he was elected. I didn't know much about Palin and gave her the benefit of the doubt until her interviews with Charlie Gibson & Katie Couric. Her refusal to meet with national press or the Sunday morning talk shows sealed the deal for me. She didn't know what she was talking about when it came to foreign policy or even national policy. Worst of all, she was PROUD of it!

"Going Rouge" was not a hatchet job but a series of articles that portrayed the real Palin. Many were written by Conservatives and a great many negatives things were said by her fellow Republicans. But what Gryph just wrote about her leaving the kids in the car and expecting someone to watch them and not even having the courtesy to let them know what she was doing proves the real SP is a selfish bitch.

I hope some of these Palinbots open their eyes to the truth and do it soon before they lose any more of their hard earned $$$ to her and her slimy trust fund.

    Keep 'em coming, Gryphen.

  155. Anonymous 5:37, I have serious doubts about your stated identity.

If this is an attempt to get me to reveal a source to defend myself, nice try.

But do know that I very carefully checked my facts over a two week period of time and have little doubt I am incorrect.

When I talked to various colleagues I found that this story is fairly well known. Like I said, nice try.

One more thing I wanted to add is that many people want to know why she would dismiss her security detail over something like this, especially with the alleged threats to her daughters. How do we know when the threats were alleged to occur? Before or after this event? It would be really interesting if it was supposed to be after December 2007 because that would mean she had no security detail to report the threats to....so which is it? That's the bad part about lying, Sarah. You can't keep your lies with all the dates, times, & places straight, can you?

    ReplyDelete
  157. Actually Sarah DID retain a security detail, of a sort. He is Special Agent Bob Cockrell, an old guy that has been doing this job since they invented dust.

Sarah did not dismiss him, she dismissed the state troopers who were assigned to follow her and her family.

I am not confident that in a real emergency having Special Agent Bob Cockrell on the job would be enough to protect the Governor.

Cockrell now works for Sean Parnell.

also too, Gryphen refers to "Special Agent Bob Cockrell" I think that is the guy with shades who looks to be 100 yrs old in every palin pic. Not much security...JMO. He's probably a friend of upchucks...!
Anyway Anon I don't believe you! You can't post with a pusedo name you post anon!!! Good one fool! go back to the sea of urine....!

  159. How very funny that 5:37 used Anonymous to comment. Surely the Security Detail Leader would give his/her own name to give credibility and allow fact checking on his claim.

Hey Anon: I was in the car with the security detail and was the one who went to the door. She verbally abused and fired me. LOL! Nice try little BOT.

  160. We are going to give Anonymous 5:37 a break. I think he is the same person who just e-mailed me and if it is, HE is on the up and up.

His information does not challenge that the events happened, but rather When they happened. I am checking back with my source to get the exact date, but it is possible that this happened at the BEGINNING of Palin's term. Which would make the children even younger.

When I have clarification I will correct any details I may have gotten wrong.

An Alaskan tidbit...after talking to my friends in the states, it has come to my attention, that people dont leave thier kids in cars at friends homes like we do in Alaska. It really isnt uncommon. Baby sleeping in carseat, bigger kids wanting nothing to do with a visit. In small towns where we know the people. We keep the car running, to keep it warm. We park in a spot where we peek out the window to see if the kid is done napping or the bigger kid can come "peck on the door" to nag at mom to go. Seriously, kids in the car isnt an issue in a small town. Anchorage, never in a million years would I leave a kid in the car there. Thats the difference and people from the states should try to understand the difference.

I call bullshit on Anonymous @ 7:48 I live in town much smaller than Wasilla. No one here would leave children in a car while socializing. Parked in the driveway while you go to the door, maybe. Enter the house, with or without a view, never.

All this talk about Wasilla being "small" is kind of bullshit, too. It's a freaking sprawling suburb. Where I live, a small town is under 1,500.
