“Queen Meg, who over the last fifteen days, has made clear that she is Sarah Palin without the brains, needs to apologize for trying to wall off the People of California while refusing to take questions from the press, release her tax returns or talk to actual voters.
Ow! That really stings! It will take GOP candidate Meg Whitman several pints of Haagen-Dazs ice cream eaten whilst sitting in a hot bath to dull the pain of THAT comment.
However throwing media out of a public event does sound very Sarah-like doesn't it?
And yes, I would know.
Wait a minute, I thought Sarah Palin already was "Sarah Palin without the brains." Am I missing something?
ReplyDeleteMeg is a complete and total idiot. Not only does she refuse to speak to the media, she won't even speak to any other Rethugs in CA.
ReplyDeleteShe hasn't even bothered to vote for her entire adult life.
I am beyond sickened watching this clueless moron literally buy my state.
she should be in prison for the crap she pulled when ebay bought PayPal.
lastly, SP w/o the brains??? ROFL! bwahahahahahaha
Astrophysicists have a shorter term for "Sarah Palin without the brains." They call it a MBH (Microscopic Black Hole). It will take more than a few pints of Haagen-Dazs to assauge the pain of that dart. How about a fifth of Jack Daniel's.
ReplyDeletehttp://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/archives/2010/03/meg_whitman_and.php
ReplyDeleteThis is the video of her not taking questions from the press -- this was a media event she organized. Her irony is just like $arah's.
" . . . plan -- or lack thereof" also nails Meg Whitman.
ReplyDeleteHer ads are have of 2 components: 1) cover shots from her days at eBay and 2) 3 basic statements lacking any plan on how to achieve them.
Personally I think she's hoping to win the primary with this vapor campaign and then try to spend her way to the governorship.
Sarah Palin = Sarah Palin without brains.
ReplyDeleteThey are one in the same!
Sarah Palin WITHOUT THE BRAINS?? WTF? That's a double entendre if I ever heard one
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteCan't get much lower than this, can you - Sarah without the brains! Haha, what brains?
I think you're right Gryph. I've thought and thought and can't come up with a more stinging insult.
ReplyDeleteBut, as I was thinking about it, I realized, again, that SP brings out the worst in me...and, frankly, I don't like it. That is why I'm not a bot, I guess.
The unfortunate thing is that she has a way of bringing out the worst in her bots, too--and they love it.
Several years ago, I read an article about the human brain. At that point, scientists had noticed that the part of the brain that controls violence, and the part of the brain that controls sex are next door neighbors.
We'll probably never know what makes Sarah Palin's brain tick--but the bots?...I can't help but wonder if they have a couple of wires crossed.
Nanny B
Sarah Palin is a "no brainer"! How dare Meg try to steal Sarah's thunder.
ReplyDeleteMeg " Sell Yourself " Ebay has been pumping out TV ads constantly for the last few weeks against her Conservative GOP opponnet. She says this Posner or Poiser Guy is a Liberal and he sides with Nancy Pelosi in the way he votes.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the ads run back to back... she is BUYING tons of them. The next commercial break the Poiser Guy will run his ad. It's ATTACK ads constantly.
Meg Ebay has ' nothing ' to say about herself... only the Other Guy.
Lets hope for Governor Jerry Brown.
Well I am sure Meg is just fuming. After all, this strategy seems to work brilliantly for $ara Palin. I think Meg seems to forget, Palin is just a celebrity collecting money for running her yap. Meg, if you are actually going to run for political office, you need to be able to play hardball, and that means taking questions from the press. Even questions you don't like. And after a quick look at WikiMeg.com, I would say Queen Meg is in for a rough campaign, and I urge all who live in California to check this site out. I do not want this woman holding any office in the state in which I live.
ReplyDeleteGryphen, my husband just came home from work. He was listening to NPR in the car, and was thrilled to hear a panel discussing the issue you brought up about the Rhode Island school firings.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I wonder if your blog was the stimulus for the program. There were fireworks from a few callers, but the panelists set them straight.
You might want to check the NPR website and see if you can grab a podcast of it. It was just after 3 p.m. CDT.
Congratulations on being on the cutting edge of the debate and for defending the majority of teachers because most of them sacrifice greatly for what they believe in. Most people simply don't have a clue - or didn't until you and NPR got involved. Thanks!
someone should let eMeg know that the State of CA is not an eBay listing to go to the highest bidder.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming it was someone on her staff that invited the media ... no way would Meg have approved that.
the few times she has made any public statement it is a giant contradiction of herself.
I have to assume that Jerry Brown is just lying low and watching Meg and Steve Poizner spend their own fortunes to destroy each other.
"Sarah Palin without the brains."
ReplyDeleteThe above phrase is a double negative, grammatically speaking. Using the negative term "Sarah Palin" by itself would be adequate to convey "no brains."
An alternate analysis is that the phrase "Sarah Palin without the brains" is redundant. Again, the term "Sarah Palin" adequately conveys "no brains."
Take notes. Quiz on Thursday.
Idiot, stupid, moron,no brains, equals an estate worth billions. Sry folks, we should all be stupid.
ReplyDeleteTo Anonymous 1:56 p.m.: No, we should not all be stupid, particularly if we aim to govern other people.
ReplyDeleteI find it upsetting that anyone equates mere financial wealth with success. Wealth is not a concept limited only to money. Success can be measured any way our personal ethics and goals require.
Besides, money comes and money goes - stupid is forever.
I sure want people who are in power to be better educated, have the highest ethical/moral standards, and be more talented at handling complex issues than me. I don't care how much money they have. A mob boss or drug cartel kingpin has lots of money, but I sure as hell don't want them in charge of a state or nation.
I like to think of Sarah as a $200 hair style (but not paid to the stiffed hairdresser) on a 29 cent head!
ReplyDelete"Don't do Dumb Things"
ReplyDeleteJeez, if only she had read that sign before she started doing things.
Now the Canada Free Press chimes in on Sarah doing dumb things and why she isn't really qualified for much of anything really. The gig is up.

At least she started Ebay, Miss Wasilla has made a mess of everything she touched.
ReplyDeleteAs a Californian, I say that little Meggy's problem in trying to play in the Sarah Palin sweepstakes is that she ain't no looker like Sarah (or at least like Sarah in Sarah's pre-facelift days).
ReplyDeleteMeggy is jowly and dumpy and at 52 looks at least a decade older. I get a hoot when I come to Gryphen's site and see Meg's ads featuring, drumroll, a picture of herself as a teenager! WTF - what middle-aged politician uses a picture of himself or herself as a teenager as their signature campaign picture?
What an idiot
Megalomaniac didn't start EBay, for crying out loud.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tired of seeing Meg's ugly mug on a quarter of the webpages I open. And it's her high school era mug too. WTF does that have to do with her current candidacy? We're supposed to believe that because she was successful with eBay, she will do the same for our state, with no questions asked. Corporatocracy here we come.
ReplyDeleteAnon at 1:56 PM, have you heard of Jeffrey Skilling? Wealthy man. Do you know how many people were devastated by his actions? How long is his Federal prison sentence? How do you think some of these people get their money? Do you think it is by being good people who care about others (you know, that silly empathy thing some have such a problem with). Maybe it is because they think they are "f***ing smart" and the rules don't apply to them. They ignore laws so they can fleece others. It is about their egos and craving for power.
ReplyDeleteExactly. Meg RUINED eBay for collectors, who truly had it "first" (back in the days when it was known as AuctionWeb on ElectronicBay--hence, "eBay"). Now it's just another corporate mess, run by someone else (also a real "genius").
ReplyDeleteCan't even imagine what she'd do to CA if she actually won, but I'd been hearing of the possibility of Meggie's going into politics ever since she left eBay several years ago.
Gryphen...
ReplyDeleteMeg is another lying woman...just like Wasillas Palin.
I am a happy Canadian. My country is finally weighing in and showing that the majority also think that Sarah Palin is a lying phoney.
Last week, I heard that Sarah's speech at a Canadian event in Southern Ontario has been cancelled. The good people of that Fund Raising event acknowledge the backlash against Palin visiting / speaking in Canada.
Too bad the idiots in Calgary chose to let her blab and suck-up to them. However, it did give other Canadians a chance to see / hear her lying in your face behaviour...on our tubes / airwaves.
Sincerely,
Eileen
Oh crap!! A Sarah Palin clone trying to take over my state. Great! Just great!
ReplyDeleteMeg will not be the next gov of ca...everyone that i talk to don't like her or her platform//another loser.
ReplyDeletejerry Brown wins this one hands down...
The person who made that quote thinks Sarah Palin has brains, so it's pretty clear that he/she the dumbest of them all.
ReplyDeleteFor the record at the end of this thread, Pierre Omiydar started eBay in 1995. Meggie was put in charge a few years later. I've been selling there since 1996.
