Levi says that he's been able to see a lot more of his infant son lately and that his relationship with Bristol has improved.
"[She] and I talk quite a bit more now. I get Tripp at least once a week now, and things are definitely 100 percent better than they were," he explains, adding, "I'm just kind of playing by her rules until I have him."
"I'm going for [joint custody]; I'd never go full custody," he says. "I wouldn't try and do what she's doing to me. I wouldn't want to do that to a mother. It's just not right, anyway."
Referring to the PSA's message, Levi says, "Telling people how tough it is -- I know when I have him it is tough. It's not about you at all; you've got to watch him constantly. But it's amazing, too. I wouldn't go back and change it for anything. I love it."
Clearly showing that that he has no regrets, Levi tells Samantha, "It's the best thing that's ever happened to me, so I'm sure [Bristol's] thinking the same thing."

I know that a lot of people wonder why Levi has not been more forceful in trying to get more time with his son,or why he hasn't "dropped the bomb" on Sarah, and I really cannot answer that definitively. I know some of the things that he knows but I have not spoken to him but the one time so I don't know why he is making the choices he is making concerning Bristol, Sarah, and his son.
However I still like Levi and think his heart is in the right place. And if you watch the video with an open mind I think you will probably agree with that sentiment.
By the way, since I have been getting some flack about my sources lately, I must point out that Levi confirms that Bristol is living in Anchorage like I first mentioned a month or so back. He also does not seem to buy the premise that Bristol is working full time like she and Sarah claimed. Allow me to just add that he is absolutely right.
I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be Levi and up against the Palin machine. I hope he continues to keep it classy. However, the premise of his proposed show hints that it could turn sloppy and tawdry pretty quickly if he isn't careful. Being one of the "good ole boys" looking for girls, drinking beers, shooting game - not too cool to most of us.
ReplyDeleteLevi's sudden interest in becoming a loving dad is coincident with Bristol dropping the hammer and demanding child support. She laid down the law and forced him to grow up and act like a dad.

It sounds like Bristol's new PR company is working with Levi now. As long as it is good for Tripp, that is great!
ReplyDeleteRight, Gryphen! Levi has never expressed anything but wanting time with his son. And I'm really glad that Bristol has gotten out from under her parents' roof. That's probably the biggest single reason why things have improved in their communications. Bristol has some growing up to do too. I wish them both all the best.

Back in the day before fame we all knew that Levi could be a little Keith Jr. and a jerk, but when it comes to his babies he has always been a man and a fine father. I wish everyone would stop expecting him to "spill" and all that. Is there anything he could "spill" and keep Bristol's image pure? Both Sarah and Bristol are smart to keep him close and to get along. Levi doesn't owe anyone the truth about private lives. Only if an AG, State or Federal agencies ask him questions under oath. Don't you think if he was concealing criminal conspiracies his lawyer would have had him talk to the authorities about that? What he knows is just some petty ugly nonsense.

Now that the PalinJohnston family is reuniting one of the Palin real estate buds would find a secret friend to set Sherry & Mercede up. They would not even have to know who was behind that. If I was a Palin I would want to have access to all things Johnston. It never hurts to know landlords and people in real estate. Also, too, Sherry & Keith both have family in the area. ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that he's seeing Tripp more and will pursue joint custody. He cleared up all the misconceptions I picked up from his attorney's interview after the child support hearing.
Sept. 23-24 will be very good days for Levi!
maybe someday soon Bristol will be strong enough to stand up and stop allowing herself to be used by her mother ... though I'm guessing a 19 y/o girl is very much enjoying all the fame and goodies.
ReplyDeleteI don't expect Levi to spill anything. Frankly I think he should keep his mouth shut for the sake of Tripp. But going on TV to complain about your inlaws is not in anyway an attempt to get more time with your son. I don't buy that line for a second.
ReplyDeleteLevi has done nothing constructive, like going to court, to get more time with his son. Any father who wanted more time would do so. He is losing precious time and he does nothing about it.
So until I see Levi actually fight for time with his son, I am going to believe that he really truly doesn't want to do the work it takes to raise a child, and just uses the argument of "Bristol doesn't let me see him" as just an excuse.
Sorry but in reality there is no excuse in my mind for a father who doesn't fight for his kid.

yep. I'm starting to wonder if levi is assisting in the coverup of a palin family secret. maybe trip's not his. maybe the whole custody thing is to make people look elsewhere. maybe explains why levi won't demand a dna test - maybe he knows it's not his, but the truth is not acceptable. maybe he pays 1700 a month and they pay it right back to him. maybe this whole thing has been orchestrated from the get-go.

Anonymous 12:26 - You sound like a good friend. I may be misunderstanding you, but it sounds like you hold 'tattle-teller' sentiments. Why is Levi or anyone responsible for protecting Bristol's image? I'd argue that they're not and also that the truth (tastefully presented) isn't harmful and could bring some real relief, especially to the Palins...after the dust settles, of course.
ReplyDeleteSarah preaches personal responsibility and accountability. She positioned herself as a national political figure based on her and her family's personal lives. Bristol has now joined her in that arena. The public has an interest in the truth about them.
Levi may not have any legal responsibility to tell personal information that involves the Palins; but if he ever decides he has an ethical responsibility to do so, I hope you'll be supportive.
The irony of Beck loving Ayn Rand--and all the Fox followers being sucked into it is that Ayn Rand was a total atheist who preached that most people except a select few genius leader types were greedy, grabbing, mooching, inept fools.

ReplyDeleteOne thing that bothers me is Keith Johnston. Why is his work with the rink and boys like Track Palin covered up now? Has anyone come up with anything on that? I had problems with the WayBack machine and stopped looking for the old documents I'd read. Levi does not say much about Keith, the ladies put in their little gripes now and again. Gryphen, do you know anyone that has talked about Keith and the rink? What do they say? I don't remember the names of the organization or where the rink was. It was for boys around Wasilla to do hockey. I hear Keith's Dad, Joe or Joel Johnston, was a good Christian man.

Bristol has never really worked. She got her HS diploma through on-line courses and was allowed to walk the aisle with her class because of her connections.

Trig is with his real family. Tripp has someone to care for him (Piper..lol) while Bristol pretends to go to college (online course) and have a job (possible, but not likely).

That apartment scene with Bristol is hokey. They want everyone to believe her and Levi when they say she moved to Anch. We hear she worked for Cole and we all know that Zack is set up in Anch. Do they use the same address? Where does the court think she lives now? When did Zack quit Mat-Su Regional Hospital? It is too convenient how they use Zack.

Full custody. I agree, I wouldn't want to do that to a mother. No one wants that to be the only way to love and a help a child. A lying sociopath in the making with years of chemical dependency will kill the spirit. Trip will have that empty look and if he doesn't obey, fear will be what shapes his life.
