After the devastating environmental damage BP caused in the Gulf of Mexico who could possible see fit to protect them from paying for their carelessness? By the way, have you met Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski? Update!

Lisa Murkowski has sold her very soul to the oil companies long ago.

She even allowed energy company lobbyists to help craft an amendment which would bar the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating carbon dioxide as a pollutant.

This pathetic excuse for a public servant does not even pretend to work for the people of Alaska anymore.  Her absolute servitude to the energy companies that finance her campaigns is well known in Alaska.

And the sad thing is that she will easily win reelection because the money that the oil companies will pay to keep her in place will easily outpace what any challenger could possibly come with to fight her.

Update: Just for fun guess whose husband was the manager for BP in charge of testing the blow out preventers before he left his job to follow her on the campaign trail?  Bingo!

Stay tuned kids, this story has legs!

She needs to go. She has no link to Alaska, except Daddykins. If she wants to work for BIG Oil, she should woman-up and admit it.

What did she learn from Alaska's experience with the Exxon Valdez? What doesn't she understand about how the court capped the damages?

Why do we let her wander around the Senate? Loose the Lisa is right up there with "Unleash the cracken!" She's a one-woman wrecking ball.

Murkowski looks like she's been rode hard and put away wet in that picture.

  4. Well you can bet if Todd Palin is supporting another "more conservative" candidate, he'll be even worse. God save Alaska. People please wise up and take back your state from the oil companies. This just makes me incredibly sad and angry.

Alaska politics are nothing but a big JOKE! I should know, I lived there for 60 years.

If you don't like the job Lisa is doing remove her from office. '

Oh, and by the way you - Alaska - created this monster Sarah Palin. Now grow a set and stop her.

    ...pathetic excuse indeed!
Realistically though, she is not the problem!
The real problem is an electorate which is incurious and unwilling to educate itself.

  8. Is there not a strong Democratic nominee who can run against Murkowski as one who puts Alaska and its people ahead of big oil? How sad is this?

  9. Sarah's husband, Todd, was the manager for BP in charge of testing the blow out preventers before he left his job to follow her on the campaign trail?

Does that mean Todd Palin is responsible for the Gulf underwater oil volcano?

    Inquiring minds want to know!

  10. Verify, Baby, Verify!
“Drill, baby, drill!” Those were the words that Sarah Palin used to electrify the 2008 Republican National Convention. But while she popularized that environment-be-damned slogan, it had already defined the eight years of oil-drilling policy that prevailed during the presidency of George W. Bush.

dsmyre stated "that Todd, was a manager of BP".
I don't belive that is true, I think he was a
    blue colar worker in production.

Murkowski is another pathetic example of the obstructionist Party of No. Anyone who wants these fools to be in the driver's seat again after they have proven their destructive stupidity repeatedly has some serious issues.

  13. Does anyone know what Todd's position was at BP "before" Sarah became governor of Alaska and Todd took a leave of absence? I searched around a bit looking for a bio on him and couldn't find this earlier info.

Also if in fact he was just a production worker (going back to work after Sarah was Gov), why would he be able to get his hands on BP company confidential information that he passed on to the state....didn't we learn this during the email debacle? Huge conflict of interest!
