North Idaho gives the first "Not Sarah" award. I think that ALL female politicians should actively compete for this honor.

From the Idaho Reporter:

The wife of freshman Democratic Congressman Walt Minnick, A.K. Lienhart Minnick, handed out the first-ever “Not Sarah” award Saturday morning at the Idaho State Democratic Convention at the Coeur d’Alene Casino in Worley. The award was given to the party’s vice-chair Jeanne Buell, also of Worley, for her work within the party.

Minnick, giving a speech to the Women’s Caucus at the convention, said that Buell is someone who inspires other women “without saying ‘you betcha,’” a phrase for which Republican superstar Sarah Palin is known. Minnick praised Buell for being someone who is well-read, inspiring, and actively working to improve the Idaho Democratic Party.

Well I am a little disappointed that his award is not offered to the men as well.  Many of US also want to be recognized for not being anything like Miss Quittypants.

I don't know about anybody else, but I personally would be honored beyond belief to receive this plaque.  You betcha!

Oops screwed up my chances didn't I?

Someone needs to take out a full page ad in the local Wasilla paper decrying $carah's shameless attempt to arrange a photo-op with Ms.Thatcher. That would win awards!!

  3. I'm NOT Sarah! But, more importantly to me... Sarah is NOT me or does she represent me! And, I've tried to make that perfectly clear for several years.. I too would be honored to recieve such an award... :)

When is Newsweek going to reprint / use Sarah's Vogue cover as their own a la Runner's World? That photo does not get nearly enough camp value.
It begs to be made fun of because it was serious.

That "beauty queen" thing always confused me. I just don't think she's that "beautiful". Is it just that she was attractive for a Governor. Put her up against some truly beautiful woman and she loses every time. I don't see that she is beautiful or sexy- in any way.

This is rich!! Idaho is the state where Palin first saw the light of day on Tuesday, February 11, 1964. How ironic that this award is given in her state of birth. Goes to show that a large number of people are not enamored with Miss Quittypants.

She through her actions, has established the "LOW" end of the bar in terms of establishing and maintaining transparency and forthrightness as she negotiates her way through the murky waters of political cronyism and a self serving agenda.

She has become the the line in the sand that demarcates the difference between unscrupulous versus unwavering. Sometimes it is just as important to become the antithesis of noble, and thus the standard bearer for ruthless. It gives us a moral compass by which to raise our children, and set an example of what NOT to do- or become.

Thank you Sarah Palin for your relentless commitment to this vainglorious effort.

Your use of twitter and myspace in lieu of meaningful person to person exchanges, demonstrates your mastery at exploiting this medium as a tool to spout your loathing and contempt so imperiously to the huddled masses.

Hiding behind a computer is your Wassilla basement is a cowards way out in terms of pointing fingers at others while avoiding well deserved scrutiny.

Thank you Sarah Palin for showing us the road that shouldn't be traveled. In that way, you have been a beacon that instead of beckoning- warns us away from the Abyss

LOVE it! And from her "home" state, no less. I would say that is quite an honor, being named "Not Sarah". I'll bet she is spittin' mad!

    @Anonymous 10:57:

Her alleged "hotness" is supposed to be why liberal women are "jealous" of her. This is the explanation that some of her male supporters offer in their infinite "wisdom," in lieu of any convincing argument as to why she should be considered presidential material. They are just as shallow and juvenile as she is, and are displaying exactly the kind of sexism that they claim others are directing at Stupid Sarah. Apparently, it eludes them that there are conservative men AND women who don't see her as presidential material.

There are many beautiful women of all races, and in both political parties, who easily outshine Palin in looks, character, and smarts.
For a lot of people, the more she overexposes herself and shows her deep character flaws, the less attractive she looks to them.
