President Obama may have a 46% approval rating, but Americans still prefer him to the likes of Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin.
In a poll conducted by Zogby International, a market research firm, President Obama would best Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, and Mike Huckabee. His closest challenger being Romney as Obama edges Mitt out by 2 percentage points.
The Republicans 2008 darling, Sarah Palin, was beat by 9 percentage points by President Obama.
Damn, NINE percentage points! Put that in your pipe and smoke it Palin-bots!
Well I don't like to put to much hope in polls, but if you have to pick one Zogby is usually pretty damn accurate.

ReplyDeleteI know you still really, really love Mr. Obama. Good on you. He needs all the help he can get.
But, despite all the cheering you offer him, he is going to have a lot of troubles going into 2012 if the Dems lose the House and/or the senate in 98 days, and he remains tone deaf on the issue of Afghanistan.
I was appalled yesterday to see Mr. Obama rely on the Republicans to get his $60 billion dollar war appropriation bill passed. He's out of touch and so flushed with arrogance that he seems to have forgotten why he was elected.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe this is good news. Only two points to Romney and nine points on the Governut! This is really quite sad. Romney hasn't even campaigned yet.

I've been thinking about some of the things you've mentioned lately, Gryphen...and came to a frightening conclusion:
ReplyDeleteEven if its proven that Sarah Palin ATE one of her children, the people who blindly support her, will likely say something like, "Well, the poor woman works so hard, when would she have time for shopping and cooking?"
And the fools who forgive every evil thing the Republicans in congress do, such as push for tax cuts for the rich, prevent anything good for the middle class, trying to get BP off the hook, protecting the big banks, and the rest--NOTHING seems to throw them off their lemming-like desire to bring those crooks back into power.
I feel a real sense of DOOM.
I agree...Zogby is right leaning (which makes it even better news in this case!) and asks loaded questions. Nate Silver's 538 is the best poll research site by far and his opinions on the merits of various pollsters is well informed.
