Bill Maher takes Bill O'Reilly to school concerning his lies about the Obama administration on his very own show.
I love it when Maher calls the Republican party "a bunch of religious lunatics, flat earthers, and civil war reenactors." That should be put on t-shirts and sold all over the country.

Sorry - I missed it, Gryph.
ReplyDeleteWhere does Maher take O'Reilly to school?
Has Obama ended the possibilities that a person rendered unto our GWOT won't be tortured somewhere, sometime?
Has he decided to prosecute anyone from Bush II's administration who tortured someone to death for that murder?
No.
O'Reilly's a disgusting guy, but your recent fetish toward praising Obama lacks any nuance whatsoever.
Please read "Sarah Palin is coming to Newsmax" Talking about Making America Great Again, just like Reagan did!!
ReplyDeleteonasty is not interested in any one's opinion, he continuously interrupts just to continue
ReplyDeleteto regurgitate it's own platform.
to appear on o'nasty's show only
allows it to claim that it
presents both sides. it doesn't.
i am not interested in hearing
what any show host has to say
beyond the question. just
let the person answer without
the continued interruptions.
That's an insult to Civil War reenactors. They at least try for historical accuracy, unlike the Teabaggers.
ReplyDeletePhil, Fox News does not respect, and the Teabaggers do not understand, nuance.
ReplyDeleteBill Maher did not say that President Obama is perfect, but he also did not allow O'Reilly to minimize the amazing accomplishments from this administration.
What Fox News and other Right Wing media types have done is taken the disappointment expressed by progressives that President Obama has not done more, and shaped it to appear as if we have turned against him. And they have done it so skillfully that it has even started to convince progressives that their President has failed them.
So yes, I am going to tout this administration's accomplishments, and hope for even more in the future. Because if we do not celebrate what we have accomplished thus far we may not accomplish much more.
I read that Andrew Sullivan just challenged O'Reilly as well. It's about time B.O'R was called on his shabby lies!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure asking to go on B.O'R's show and debate him is a good idea. He is a bully, and has no problem with simply shouting over any points his "guest" is trying to make, or simply cutting off the microphone.
P.S. Considering the smoking, bankrupt ruin Obama inherited from the Bush regime, he is doing a good job.
Did I expect more? Yes, I did. But the fact that we are not warming our hands over a trash bin, and learning to speak Mandarin Chinese means he has managed to keep our head above the water.
Considering the nasty opposition he faces just to keep the country afloat, let alone make some small advancement, I am grateful he finds the strength to get out of bed and face the day.
Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't Obama put a stop to torturing people? I thought "water-boarding" was off the table once he was sworn in.
I'm really hoping that the rightwingers talking so smugly about how the Democrats will lose the majority in both houses of congress, is just another example of the BIG LIE that they repeat over and over, assuming it will help to make it so.
ReplyDeleteI recall this happening in the last presidential election, where, then, too, we had McCain picking out the new drapes for the Oval Office, before we found out he hadn't fooled that many people, after all.
While I agree with a couple of postings about O'Reilly interrupting the answers to his questions, to give his OWN answer, instead...its CHRIS MATTHEWS who is the KING of that. I can no longer even watch his show, due to that problem.
Although, my wife is a Nancy Grace fan, and NO ONE surpasses her for cutting off what anyone else is trying to say. She will even yell out, "NO, YOU'RE WRONG!" about four words into a response to her question.
Yes, the Repubs are as Maher says "a bunch of religious lunatics, flat earthers, and civil war reenactors".
ReplyDeleteThey have also been attracting some deeply disturbed bigots who are using the Teabagger movement as a great way to take their hateful agenda mainstream.
And Repubs, desperate for support, are allowing the Teabaggers to take over their Party.
I love Bill Maher and watch his show every Friday night! Last night's show had me hooting and hollering which made the soul feel GREAT!
ReplyDeleteIt's assuredly much more enjoyable than watching/hearing the crap that is spread daily from the right and far right.
It's wonderful putting humor and FACTS toward the idiotic dribble spouted by the FOX group.
I suspect think hey are going to be unpleasantly surprised at how the election goes in November. I can hardly wait!!! All my friends are getting out to vote...yea!!!
