Was last night's elimination the most shocking moment you've had on the show?
Yeah, for me personally, it's probably the one that's the hardest to swallow...This season has just been ridiculous since day one. Just one after another after another. Brandy and I think this is the culminating point of this season, it just came crashing down. We almost feel like the effort wasn't worth it. We put in a lot of work. We put in a lot of effort. It's been a very, very difficult season...It just feels like it was an uphill climb the entire time and to really come that short of the finale. It's just very upsetting.
Are you mad at all about it?
I felt really disappointed with Bristol. On Monday night, I found out that she went on record saying that I said something about her along the lines of, "I don't like her because she's still here and she's not a good enough dancer." Every time I've opened my mouth about Bristol, I've been nothing but supportive...For her to come out on Monday night and totally smear my name the way she did, that's just completely uncalled for...I have no idea where she got it from, but wherever she got it from, shame on her and shame on whoever told her that.
What about the alleged right-wing conspiracy theory keeping Bristol on the show? Are you starting to believe it?
I definitely think that the system is flawed. I think there are a lot of problems with it. I have a lot of friends in the Philadelphia area who couldn't call at all. People here, in front of me, picked up the phone, dialed one time and it said, "Thank you for voting. You are over your limit." Anybody crazy would think, "This is a conspiracy theory. Everybody's out there and wants Bristol to win." Not at all. I think it's just a flawed system.
At this point I want the National Enquirer or some other gossip rag to offer Maks a butt-load of money to spill his guts. Screw whatever non-disclosure deal he made with DWTS. After all they completely fucked Brandy and him over.
No matter how much the fine would be for speaking out against Bristol I have no doubt that he would make that up in spades for spilling the "behind the scenes" beans.
Besides SHE started it, and it is about time that people started fighting fire with fire when it comes to the Palins.
P.S. Just on a personal note I have to say that I really enjoyed some of the performances on the show this season. I have never watched it before, but I do have some minimal dance experience, and I have really become a fan of some of the performers, especially Jennifer Grey. I also thought that both Brandy and Kyle Massey delivered wonderful performances.
Even if I was not a Palin critic I would have been righteously pissed about how this season turned out.
While I think he's just in his anger, I don't really believe that Bristol rag story where she vented anger against Maks is true. Esp when there were other rag stories that weren't. Hes looking to vent, he's looking for sympathy. Also, I voted for Bristol once, at the top of the season and even then, I had issues voting, where I called the one time, tried again, and it said, you have no more votes. Later, I went online and tried to vote for Margaret and it only let me vote twice via my one email address. Yes the system is probably flawed just using common sense, but this is how it has always been. It's just more tense and there's more anger because of politics.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, this is a freaking tv show. People need to chill out. If Bristol does in fact win, it wont be because of the flawed system, as the people who initially voted for the other 9 stars would have voted for her in the end. OR - Jen and Kyles voters just give up.
But seriously, get a life people. Carrie had a point on Lopez. And after finding out what happened season 1, I'm not shocked this happened again. (I think it was season 1 where the girl who absolutely could not dance made it to the end)
If any oddly shaped out of weight woman deserved to be on the show to represent heart, strength, diversity - it would be Margaret Cho. She worked her "butt/ass off" as the Palin's like to co-opt as their family mantra.
ReplyDeleteMargaret lost weight immediately because you knew she was putting in the time and the effort to earn her spot there. She never danced before, this wasn't her comfort zone either, which is the biggest narrative Bristol and her bots are generating for her.
Kyle Massey is another that has shown all of the above, he's gone above and beyond and has absolutely charmed the nation. He's lost an incredible amount of weight too.
And Jennifer Grey? She fucking dances with a broken neck and still kills on the dance floor.
Bristol? Well, she eats at McDonald's and the Cheesecake Factory, takes days off, whines about haters (just like Mommy) and shoves her single motherhood down our throats as if we could forget it for a minute.
When she announces her pregnancy, the base will faint with glorious Christian pro-life happiness and keep her on that virginal pedestal. The rest of the world will start asking questions about the mindset of the Palin women, if Bristol could perpetrate a highly public pregnancy (not that we are clueless) trying to prove something that she and Sarah think is relevant, it will backfire. No one suspected or were suspicious that Sarah was hiding a pregnancy, but many were asking for proof of her pregnancy and Trig's birth certificate.
Bristol and Sarah are keeping the door open, they are inviting us to scrutinize their abilities and their bullshit Family Values platform. They are liars and they make bank on it.
So let me get this straight, No one can disclose anything about Bristol but Bristol can be as negative as she wants? Typical Palin hypocracy.

I'm curious about contracts of all the performers, professionals and stars alike, with DWTS. Particularly if they get more $$ the longer they stay in the competition. DWTS definitely has problems with the call-in voting but I also contend the panel is rigged.

The only reason I don't believe the "Maks hates me story" is, did you see Bristol's shocked face when Brandys name was called? She did not expect to go to finals. Go back and read ALL the rumors and tabloids that depicted drama behind the scenes. How many were blatantly false allegations? Jen Grey is not a diva, Bristol and Audrina were not fighting, Hoff did not go to rehearsal drunk, None of the pros dated their stars. From one producer and makeup artist, people genuinely like Bristol. Why continue to believe these accounts just because you're pissed YOUR favorite didn't make it through? It's juvenile and stupid

Maks shouldn't feel bad about what Bristol thought, she only made up what EVERYONE was thinking. She has no place there and everyone through pity or non-disclosure were forced to be kind toward her grossly obvious disabilities.

They volunteered for this showcase, they deserve the scrutiny it involves as the flawed voting system is highlighted in this debacle.
Bristol is the Sanjaya of DWTS. Just as McCain is forever identified as the man responsible for bringing an ill-suited politico Sarah Palin to the big leagues, DWTS is responsible for bringing an socio-political element to the show that demeans the foundation of its principles.
Yes, I know it is just a network dance show with no real rules. But as usual, the Palin's get to flub the very least of what is asked of them to be in our faces on Primetime week after week.
I don't think we have heard the last from Maks...he seemed really pissed off on the night of the elimination. And he isn't about to let stupid little palin girl trash his name.

She takes her criticism with a smile (or not) because she can't process what is being said. She's busy counting her steps, watching Mark for his cues, sucking in her belly, trying to figure out how to put personality into her face. She can't understand what is being said by the judges or Brooke Burke, she's waiting for prompts from Mark or cues from the audience with their applause or boo's.
Truth be said, Bristol is stupid. She is as stupid as her mother. The bar is so low, they are barely literate in their speaking, writing or breadth of vocabulary. Look at her Facebook posts and monosyllabic utterances. She's like a cave woman, all she knows how to do is be pregnant with her two favorite words that sum up her world-view, Sucks and Awesome.
And for those that just want to write me off as a hater or an elitist? I know the Palin family. I am from a remote village and I still am astounded at how our villagers are kinder, smarter and hard working than that whole Nuclear Disaster family.
Bristol is schooled by the best when it comes to bad girl club politics.

Far from "enhancing" the Palin brand, these viewers are being educated about how the Tparty/Palinbots throw their support behind sub-standard candidates.
While I hate to see someone's dreams dashed (life goes on babycakes), I have to say, what's Bristol supposed to do? Give Brandy her spot. Because that's going to create an outcry of emotion. Bristol obviously has many many fans all her own. It's either, piss them off and sacrifice the rules, or keep playing the game. I don't remember people being THIS pissed at Kate G making it past week 1, and knocking Shannon D out first. THAT was a sad sad moment. Her father was bawling. Unless Jen and Kyle's fans have given up, Bristol won't win. Jennifer Grey is the only star who has almost always esclipsed Bristol with votes via dialidol.com. No one else has.

It is really a shame that the Palins had to inject their divisiveness into what is supposed to be happy, inspiring programming. It is also a shame that the professional dancers, all of whom have paid their dues and done the work to get where they are, have to deal with this intrusion into their professional lives. This is their livelihood. It might be cathartic for the audience to hear Chmerkovskiy "dish," but why should he have to risk his career because a spoiled girl wanted to be on television?

I posted on an earlier IM blog that the Palin's had at least 3 articles posted dated the 15th -- People.com, E Online & another I don't recall. I'm sure there were other interviews too as Sarah was in LA. They were doing the maximum hit prior to dancing that night. It's typical Palin style as the $$$ add up for them. They have People rag mag, InTouch and others on speed dial as the interviewers have spend a number of days for each of the many interviews in the Palin's home.

Mark has bought and sold this odd couple match-up from day one, he the tiny dancer paired with Ginormica - and he's exploited it as a true showman should. But his overt affection has eventually convinced Bristol to play into it (it is cringe-worthy when he puts his arms around her baby waist) and everyone loves a soap opera love story and the bots are eating it up along with the 'hard working single mom' meme.
Just watched a Massey routine, these finalists rock, it is an embarrassment that Bristol is there.
Bristol's performances are adequate as a celebrity charity event, but DWTS finalist worthy?

Once Bristol is history on DWTS, whether it be she's voted off or she wins - the baggers won't be watching DWTS. They didn't before Bristol and won't after unless there is another Bagger participating.
ABC tried Tom Delay, who lasted longer than necessary but dropped out with an injury. They then brought in Bristol for their next political romp. They took a 'family' show, politicized it, and now they are truly f*cked -- and they did it to themselves.

If it is true everyone had to sign nondisclosure contracts regarding Bristol I am curious if the Palins and their lawyer played the poor me me me card to enable them to do as they pleased and get away with it. The Palins exploited this teen pregnancy to the hilt since the RNC. I won't ever forget the look on Bristol's face at the end of a show of pure anger following "It sucks!" revealing her sense of entitlement for poor effort, noncommitment, and oblivion to earning and deserving.
One outcome of this covert then overt Palin opportunism maninpulated was it effectively pulled the curtain back revealing the malignant nature of C4P devotees touting christian virtues rallying to win at all costs, the end justifies the means. Worse they collectively disregard logical consequences for behavior whether Sarah, Bristol or Joe Miller.
This psychodrama chapter has been a veiled agenda of false impressions, smoke and mirrors to further Sarah Palin and Todd's agendas. I doubt they care about Bristol as a human being to once again exploit her, their grandchild, hell even the Dermatology office trapping other employees in their neverending lies, for their gain disregarding subjecting Bristol and even Trig to public scrutiny.The focus was on Ssarah, Sarah and Todd..look at us, Wasilla, wonderful mother, bring the cameras. It was to promote fictional personas, and mytholgy. What a contrast Kyle as a contestant was for the focus wason him, his work, achievements and personal potential developed through conscientious hard work.
It has been obvious how each contestant is human except Bristol and fully invested their human abilities in contrast to lies, resentment, anger, self serving behaviors at the expense of others.
In hindsight reflection Mark gave this 180% and Bristol 20%. The costumers had to give it 180% also and the cameramen also. My instinct is Mark is a decent guy who was subjective to manipulative flattery and taken advantage of led down a Primrose path i.e. used. I can guarantee if Bristol is not THE WINNER, number one he'll be under the bus. It is a profound ssense of humiliation to realize and worse to admit one was played as a fool then stabbed in the back.
It shall be revealed as has begun the Palin's also pulled the wool over Mark Burnett's eyes sucked into webs of deceptions spinning one agenda and their true one mirrored onto others.
Ah, the irony the devoted fans, minions come to reveal what has been afoot this is the Palin predatory style of gunning and running others down via cheating, gaming, taking full advantage of flaws in ruthless attempts to put Sarah, unqualified, incompetent in the whitehouse as they sought Bristol be queen celeb, used as 'proof" in their sick minds of Sarah and Todd's fictional extraordinary (falsified) existence. For them, today it is DWTS, tomorrow the white house.
It is the nature of their personalities, to do the least and their entitlement to the prize, rage blaming others, win at the expense of others controlling appearances and mirroring they are winners and others are the low life loser
After the Palin predators get what they want they discard or destroy those they took advantage of and deceived. They used Levi to their advantage dangling bait to be family if he publicly apologized , fame and fortune then discarded him like a prop and have begun a new campaign to serve their malignant agenda.
Don't forget Bristol put the word out the judges ar unfair, out to score her the lowest and they don't even watch her performance. That only fooled people who do not see with their own eyes and the Palins prey on that vulnerability to their compulsive lying. The Palins bring out the worst in people, unleashing hounds of hell indeed. What is done in darkness comes out in the light of day or reality tv:)

My understanding is that the Mayor of Wasilla (a very small town) was once a friendly race that was about who was willing to take on the hassle of making sure trash got picked up, the homeless didn't sleep in the middle of the street, and there was someone to answer the phones at city hall. But $carah turned it into something nasty and divisive, and then used it to springboard to governor.
Same thing here, only this time, people are aware of her and by proxy Brisket's ambition and uber-competitiveness. $carah's the type of person who would cheat at a penny-ante family poker games and then run around bragging that she was the best poker player in Bumfuck and deserved a seat at the national tournament. She's also the type of parent who makes kid's sport a truly unpleasant experience for EVERYONE else. F the bich.

Guess this interview was prior to the InTouch editor appearing on the Joy Behar Show. But then again, $$$ were paid for the interview so in typical Palin style, they overlook negative remarks if there is a paycheck for them.

ReplyDeleteI think/hope this whole fiasco will blow up in Palin's face. The outrage is against the tea partiers as they are being blamed for keeping Bristol in the competition. Soon, the pregnancy will have to be revealed. Just like Sarah's faked pregnancy, they assume that everyone will buy the story that will come out about Bristol. I really doubt that it will go over this time around. Only other alternative is a white-out, but she'll have to go out of country to do that at this stage of her pregnancy. Certain crazies on the right, in their zeal to eliminate abortion doctors and clinics, would make it impossible for Bristol to have a procedure in the US, now that her fat face has been plastered all over the media. Look for Bristol to make a trip to some foreign land if she doesn't go into seclusion after the finale. I do believe that she wasn't planning to stay on DWTS that long. The tea bags kept her there and she, being her mother's daughter, is taking advantage of it, knowing that the tea baggers will accept any amount of crap that the Palins send their way. Problem is: will it fly with the rest of the country? I don't think so. With the Joe Miller epic fail all over the media, Sarah is doing everything in her power to take attention away from the fact that Miller lost to a "write-in" candidate who has a name that is difficult to spell. He tried every Palin-trick-in-the-book to win and he still lost by a huge margin. In Alaska, Sarah's home state. That speaks volumes and will hopefully, be used against her big-time when she runs. As some would say: Sarah Palin has peaked too soon. It will all be downhill for her from now on. (/fingers crossed)
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely gaming the system, which isn't that hard. Each phone number gets 5 votes (landlines and cell phones). And each e-mail address can vote 5 times. So the Pee-tards have signed up for every e-mail address under the sun, and this is how they spend their time.

Here's the deal: if this show were about rewarding the best dancing couple, the show would follow strict ballroom rules. And the judges wouls actually grade each dance accordingly. They do not and the show is not about solely rewarding the best dancer. Even Maks comments on this in the GMA interview. Because the audience is given 50% of the vote, and because it's natural to vote for your favorite, of course there are going to be upsets. I truly believe people were turned off by 1) Maks talking back to Carrie (she mentioned this) 2) Brandy bitching in the beginning (not a pleasant personality that one)
ReplyDeleteOverall, we have no idea how many votes were received. But also too, this is a goddamn tv show and tv shows showcase personalities. Viewers either like or dislike said personalities. People who cant let these trivial things go have bigger issues on their plate. (pros and viewers alike)

I don't think Brandy was bitching about the judges if you compare her reaction to Bristol's usual reactions. I noted in the one clip how Bristol mocked the judges with a sneer and "I'm so bored" comment. Bristol has no class and cannot conduct herself properly in public.
ReplyDeleteMost of us would not be proud of our daughters behaving as Bristol does, using words such as "ass," "butt," and mocking others. She is not a teenager any longer. She is a mother and beginning her third decade on this earth. When is she going to grow up and act with some grace.
The clips you offered did help provide a catharsis; it was helpful to hear other professionals unhappy with the sham that is DWTS.
Bristol has the same arrogance self-righteous attitude that makes her mother so distasteful. Neither have an ounce of grace or concern about anyone else. It must be very unpleasant to spend time with either one of them.
Shame on Bristol, shame on Sarah and Todd and shame on Willow for her recent conduct on FB. This family is a disgrace.

Honestly, if she's not "preggers", I wouldn't put it past the Palins to ask her to blow up in order to appeal to the Rill Americans in the Heartland, who are obese and loving it.

there is no doubt that maks and brandy did a fantastic job and should have went to the finals. the palins ruin everything they come in contact with. I'm starting to think that bristol is a sociopath just like her mother.

ReplyDeleteDWTS has a responsibility to their cast and continuing the team unity and integrity they profess. If anyone else did what Bristol did they would be punished for saying another cast team member didn't like her etc.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a big mess. Respectable adults would clear this up and not with more lies and deception. If DWTS doesn't step up to the plate it is because they did fix this show. They had the judges give her a pass and they conspired and tolerated the whole hoax.
It is not only about the voting part. The voting is a part of this but not all of it.
DWTS is about the team and the professionals and the contestants. It is about sportsmanship and honoring contracts and each other. If someone is quoted as lying about another cast member DWTS will tolerate that? Not if it wasn't the Golden Child. Anyone else that would lie about another cast member would have been called out and booed off. They would not have had more votes, just the crooked ones. It is all a scam. The system is screwed and now DWTS has no respect for their own claims and postion about team work?
Either Bristol is a violation or some other serious hanky panky with that. It is up to DWTS to end the dumb cover ups about Bristol's contract and come up with a fully honest examination and clarification about all that happened.
Please, Maks, you and Brandy were wronged in the worst ways. This is their work, it is a job. You don't just sit down and take this crap. Bristol Palin's quote says that Maks is a poor sport and he violated the team spirit and contract. According to Bristol Maks is a terrible employee that can't do his job well. Now he is painted as an angry sore loser.
DWTS must show their employees and the stars that they will not tolerate any of this. DWTS you don't care about team work and all if you don't step up and clear this up. No more pulling a fast one on your audience!

You're welcome for the links and thanks for your comments. I just want to clear up that I didn't mean to imply if I did at all that Brandy was bitching to judges. I was trying to say exactly what you are saying, that Bristol was arrogant and mocked the judges with a sneer and snide comments. I never saw Brandy show the judges anything but respect and gratitude. In fact. Brandy's investment and level of emotion were totally endearing, especially compared to Bristol's cold demeanor. The two couldn't be more different.
And you are right that the language Bristol uses is not mindful of the fact that this is a family show. She is an adult and a Mom and she should know better, though look who raised her, miss "flippin'" Sarah Palin. It all sounds so trashy.
Another point I forgot to make was the notice I took of the looks of horror and disgust on the faces of Kyle and Lacey, but especially Jennifer and Derek - Derek's jaw dropped to the ground and Jennifer looked like she was fuming. I can't read Bristol - Palin's don't show emotion the same way that the majority of people do. It's either overblown completely, or there is none at all. I don't think she looked too surprised, though. Was she praying up there that God would open the door to the finals to her? I think God has better things to do than worry about a mirror ball trophy. And I ask myself why it bothers me so much, too. I think it's because it's an obvious outrage and the Palin's don't care who they step on and hurt in their quest for fame, money, and power. Maks and Brandy both have serious careers and a record of beautiful dancing - what does Bristol have to show for herself and what would this trophy do other than keep her on the path to greed and fake stardom? Ick. What a strange time this country is going through.

BTW, the National Enquirer post never said Willow was pregnant, just that she missed a period and bought a test. Big difference. Willows Facebook page is deleted now, but in the last picture she posted of herself and her cousin with the Situation (when he and Bristol did the PSA) she did look rather big on top and was wearing a loose fitting top, when she usually prefers tight clothes.

I am sure they can write a truckload of excuses why she abandoned Tripp. That poor kid. Five days strapped into a car seat, hanging out in LA with the two nannies, probably endless junk food, showing him the life with the paps and then she abandons him. Why? She is a Disneyland parent. That's what parents that are not really participating in their childrens life do. They try to make up with a trip to Disneyland. ReplyDeleteIrony is that Keely Osbourne is out promoting her new cover for Shape Magazine...a former big girl who says DWTS changed her life for the better. She lost 30 pounds on the show, and 50 pounds total. See Bristol? That's how it's done!
Seriously, if she's not preggers, she's got a real problem. The sever face and stomach bloat are signs of diabetes. The only other possibility is that she's taking steriods. She would have to be eating 3-5,000 calories per day to gain that much weight in 2 months while dancing every day.
Bristol is following how her Mom operates....create havoc with everything they touch. Absolutely disgusting!
ReplyDeleteI've watched DWTS since its inception and Bristol should have been voted off long ago. She cannot dance and has not improved. Her dancing partner does all the work and makes her look better than she is. She is held and moved across the floor, lifts her arms in the air every show and repeats much the same ole, same ole! Plus, I don't think she practices as much as the others - she's too heavy for having been working 'so hard' all these weeks! And, I don't think she is pregnant!
I like Maks and believe him. His work ethic is outstanding and always has been. Can you imagine if he had been given Bristol this season? He has pride in what he does and has been successful for a number of years on the show.

We may have differences but we keep those squabbles within the work environment. You just do not go public with garbage. Especially if there are documents to lay out the rules. A media savvy corporation does not hire jerks that are going to go rogue and blow a project that everyone has invested in. If they did, the wrath of the executives and CEO's would come down on those that fail the standards, ethics and rules.

I think that no matter what Maks signed, Bristol voided the agreement when she spoke out against him, lying about his attitude towards her. I'm sure you noticed that she didn't speak up until after Maks had a disagreement with one of the judges in front of a national audience. She is as manipulative as her Mother, obviously learning by example. It was her way of making sure those who may be splitting their votes for her AND for Brandy, would no longer vote for Brandy. This family is so predictable. They run to the media to set up anyone they think is harmful to their future in any way so their delusional fans will attack in droves. Gryphen, if you know anything that can stop her now, you really should speak up. Look at how she threatens PG for printing pages from her book yet never says a word about their posts about being Trig's grandmother, not mother. There have been so many more detrimental posts yet she has not responded in any manner. Her silence speaks volumes but she's too stupid to realize it.

She doesn't realize how predictable she is although I'm sure there are plenty of people behind the scenes who do. She has made serious mistakes in trashing everyone who was with her during the 2008 campaign and also almost everyone who has ever worked with her. Why would anyone sign onto Palin's team when they know the chances for them getting thrown under the bus are excellent no matter what they do or do not do. Palin was able to get away with calling the shots in Alaska which despite the size of the state, sounds more like small town politics at work. She can't do the same in D.C. no matter how well it may have worked in Alaska. Anyone who can see through her, and I believe that is most in politics, knows she is not going to be willing to work with anyone but those who kiss her ass and swear their undying loyalty. They also know there is no room for compromise with the Palins' It's either their way or you're tossed out on your ass. There is nobody with her from the beginning because she has stabbed them all in the back. Big mistake, $arah!
I wish I could find the post I read earlier but the poster was talking about how Bristol knows she doesn't deserve to win and will give up the trophy, if she should win, to the person in 2nd place because the Palins' are "moral" and don't want anything they don't deserve! LOL, her fans truly are delusional to the point where they will end up in a mental institution should $arah run and be defeated.
