By the way I thought I would share with all of you who are worried that Frank Bailey's manuscript will never find a publisher not to worry your pretty little heads. This thing is not over by a long shot and I am very confident that we will all get the chance to buy our very own copy of "BLIND ALLEGIANCE TO SARAH PALIN: A Memoir of our Tumultuous Years" in the very near future.
P.S. That poster is only calling for the arrest of Sarah Palin for crimes against Alaskans, the planet, and of course humanity in general, NOBODY wants her to be harmed in anyway.
I really should not have to point that out, but I guess I must.

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of blind allegiance, I would love to see a analytical retrospective done on her in say, 5 or so years by mental health professionals that understand cult movements and the mindset of the true believer.
It would be interesting to see how her downfall plays out in the broader sense. Particularly --what IS IT exactly that Sarah Palin possesses that has made so many people swear "blind allegiance" to her?

While I can understand the concern over the wanted poster, this particular one is obviously done with humor. It doesn't come close to the vicious anti-abortion posters targeting abortion providers. There is no personal info about Sarah at all. No addresses, no phone numbers, no info about where she is likely to be, etc.

The difference between you and the "blind allegiance" bot is your ability to think critically. The bot needs to follow the "idol" because they can think of no other way to survive.
The sooner this book is published the better. I usually do not buy political books, but would have to buy this one. Wish Levi would write one also. Would buy it too.

ReplyDeleteI think Sarah's in more danger of being hurt by one of her own followers than by anyone on the Left. I can't stand the woman but I don't want to see her or any member of her family or "entourage" hurt. Just this past week I reported a Twitter fan of her's who appeared to be headed over the cliff. A particular tweet sounded a bit "off" in the SarahPalin stream so I went to the person's twitter timeline to read a few tweets.
It was impossible to say for sure whether it was a man or a woman - although I think a woman. One tweet would express insane love and what she/he wanted to do to Sarah in explicit terms and then a few hours later, another tweet showing some frustration that Sarah hadn't responded. "WHY hadn't she responded?" - I think it amounted to "I'm showing I will do anything for you Beautiful Sarah and you're ignoring me...WHY?" It was scary.
At least 10-15% of the tweets were violent. Several tweets offering to kill for Sarah, "just tell me what you want me to do, who you want me to kill, I'll kill for you", she/he said. She wanted to come to Alaska, was only waiting for an invitation. Then she would switch back to impatience.
Sarah wasn't the only one who's life was threatened - POTUS, media, ALL liberals - but Sarah was the focus. It gave me chills. Took me about 10 seconds to imagine a plane landing in AK and Sarah or her mess children being vulnerable to a psycho like that. Or the person making good on any of the threats.
Those who say Sarah was innocent with her "target" map and her violent rhetoric, need to think about a person like I've described. A person unbelievably eager to please Sarah and to get her attention - imagine what they might do if they heard Palin's dog-whistles or saw a map targeting her "enemies".
I reported her/him to the FBI. That was several days ago. Earlier today, I checked to see if the Twitter page had been taken down. It's still up but she/he have picked up about 90 or 100 more followers. I think they're watching.
I think I have a handle on what the "blind allegiance" is all about. Anyone in the mental health field or anyone who has dealt first hand with a sociopath/narcissist/psychopath could tell you about how charming and convincing these people can be. They can be charismatic and so convincing to some, while others see through it right away.
ReplyDeleteI hate to even say it, but look what happened during the Third Reich. This is what is so horrifying and dangerous having a person in a position of power afflicted by these personality disorders.
I believe that there are people who have blind allegiance because sociopaths/narcissists/psychopaths (whichever one SP is) so often project their own persona back to them in their 'assumed' personality - like SP and her "hey, I'm just like you! Your average hardworking American citizen." People respond to that.
The thing is, a narcissist cannot keep up the facade, eventually they will be exposed. This causes narcissistic injury which inevitably leads to a terrifying display of unbridled aggression. Let's hope the blind allegiance folks don't follow along when SP reaches that stage.
Is Todddd still hanging out with the dudes at the Iron Dog? Is Sara still missing in action?

The only way this book can be published is through Amazon ebook, which will pretty much ensure that nobody will read it (heh heh heh).
Or...or maybe the "Wasilla Mafia" and the good ol boy network "got to him" in 2009.
Guys...nobody cares, whether its some no-name "aide" from bumf*** nowhere, a dumpy salon hooker, or the psychotic at the Atlantic, or a creepy, bitter ex-teacher.
There are no stealth campaigns waiting in the wings with a file full of secrets.
There was no conspiracy to enlist Track in the Armed Services in lieu of jail-time (by the way, this conspiracy theory makes absolutely no since whatsoever. A MEPS officer (Military Enlistment and Processing Officer) is the individual that signs off on the fitness of a recruit, not a judge. If a judge offered a defendant armed forces enlistment instead of jail time, it would be considered discrimination against other defendants who weren't considered fit for armed services and had to take incarceration instead.)

I would try to go on with the multitude of nutty conspiracy theories you guys throw here (now come on guys...a chin IMPLANT? Really?)

ReplyDeletethanks for the link, ella. and anonymous @1:30 -- you said it beautifully. i was going to respond w/ something similar. i have known several sociopaths in my life (including one in jail doing time for murder), and they really do make you like them. i am capable of seeing through them, and i don't buy into whatever they are selling, but i cannot help but say that i really, really like them. one such character ended up stealing some stuff from me and if i met her on the street today i'd probably still go have coffee with her and enjoy her patter, or razzle-dazzle, or whatever it is. you are right -- until you have known one of these people up close and personal you can't understand it.

Maybe it's a risk we have to take. After all, reports that Michelle Bachmann is sharpening her claws for a possible 2012 White house run (what??????) reminds us we have to fight these awful people constantly....

I'm waiting for real charges, for real justice and for real jail time. She so has it coming. Legally busted is what I wait for.
If Sarah has whackjob followers, it's her behavior and rhetoric that has brought this on. I certainly can't imagine this problem for someone like Hillary Clinton, who acts professionally and respectful around others.

I'm "Anonymous @1:27" who reported the freak fan of Sarah Palin. I checked her/his Twitter BIO page a short while ago and it's been removed. Last tweet was at 4:31 p.m. Sunday. There's still a bunch of tweets that appear in the timeline showing on TweetDeck but the last 15 or 20 tweeted were only declaring love and devotion to Sarah.

Also,too, since I'm frequently critical of Palin, I think 99.999% of Lefties are just like me - we'll criticize her but we don't want the woman or her family or friends hurt and will take steps to protect her. Now that I've done my civic duty...

As governor, Sarah said "I hate this damn job". Problem is she sent an email disclosing this to someone else.

While I agree with many of you, and the poster (I think) more or less is harmless (no "Dead or Alive", no major information, etc. etc.)... the problem is if you read much of the commentary over at Fox News and other Conservative (and especially right Wing) blogs, *we* are the violent ones... the uncaring... the judgmental... the violent... and the mentally unbalanced.
