Shailey Tripp is having quite an impact on the blogosphere.

Shailey has granted another interview with one of our favorite bloggers.  Here Malia Litman finds out just a little bit more about the Shailey Tripp story.

Sarah Jones, over at Politicususa, decided it was time to finally ask the questions that the "Lamestream" media has refused to ask since Palin was first tapped to be John McCain's running mate. (Please let her know how much you appreciate her bravery to take on such a ticklish topic.)

There have been a couple of questions that keep popping up so let me address some of them here.

I have been asked why Shailey massaged Sarah's stomach when that is not a regular part of a normal massage, and if I understand Ms. Tripp correctly the reason she did this was because Sarah specifically requested it due to some soreness in that area.  Apparently sometimes there is a type of massage given to the abdomen which helps with digestion or can  assist with bowel movements. remember Shailey was a licensed Massage Therapist.

I have also been asked about Shailey's contract with the National Enquirer.  I do know quite a lot about that, from both sides of the issue, but it is really Shailey's story to tell, and I do believe that she is planning to do just that.  I can say that from what I have gathered it was not so much about Shailey not being a trustworthy source as much as Shailey feeling that she was not treated fairly by NE, and her frustration with the idea of NOT having her story come out in a timely manner. (You may be able to find more about this in the near future by visiting Shailey's blog.)

Some of you have worried for Shailey's safety.  I do believe she is quite safe and living outside of Alaska in a place with very good security, and people watching out for her.  It is also worth noting that she has provided documentation to her attorneys, and a few trusted friends, so that if anything DID happen it would absolutely get plastered on the front pages of newspapers all over the planet.

There is a whole lot more to this story, but as many of you are now aware, Shailey has both lawyers and publicists handling her case, so she will choose the media outlets that interview very carefully from here on out. And by the way for those who still think Shailey is full of shit remember that these people are representing her FREE OF CHARGE based on their belief that she has a very lucrative story to tell.

I should also point out that there is a very coordinated effort going on to discredit Ms.Tripp and myself in the hopes of killing this story and making it go away.  Those efforts are coming from many different directions, and for many different reasons.  When you read them ask yourself WHY this person doubts the validity of the story, and WHY they might not want it told here on IM. That may help you to keep things in perspective.
