@SarahPalinUSA OMFGD! You HAVE to get in! We need you to take back the White House 4 the whites. I dream of you. Oops gotta change pants!
5 minutes ago via my imagination.

Okay I made up that last one, but you have to admit it is almost indistinguishable from the hyperventilating tweets which preceded it. With Huckabee out those who are simply not connected to the reality based world around them are frantic to convince Palin to throw her red Naughty Monkey pumps into the ring.

The only question remaining is how delusional IS Sarah Palin?

I KNOW that she is panic stricken at the very idea of standing next to the other GOP hopefuls in an open debate, because on some level she understands that she would be completely humiliated and that even her most ardent supporters would be embarrassed by her performance.  But that does NOT mean she might not be willing to do a kind of political head feint, you know get in for a little while to raise some money, give some speeches, and then use some completely falsified family matters (A bunch of tell all books) as an excuse to bow out before she finds herself sharing a stage with Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich.

That would be completely transparent, and pathetic, to all of us, but to the simpletons who support this idiot (And who refuse to read the avalanche of books destroying the very last of her credibility), it might actually keep them dangling on the line for four more years in the hopes that Palin would have "resolved her family matters" and be ready to run in 2016.

As crazy as that seems to me, and trust me THAT IS CRAZY, I have to consider who we are talking about.

Palin is simply not a rational person.  Remember THIS is a woman who truly believes that God himself has determined a path for her future, and who has come to believe that path leads to the White House.

My prediction is that she is NOT running, but at this point I would not bet my house on it.

Joe McGinniss however is all in:

Even if, as many argue, the personal bottom line of http:www.Palingrifters.com is what Sarah cares about most (or only), she must recognize that as soon as she definitively takes herself out of the GOP 2012 candidate pool (aka “The Sargasso Sea”), nobody will care any more about what she says, what she wears, how she looks, Track’s latest brush with the law, Bristol’s latest plastic surgery, Willow’s latest brush with the law, or even whether she really gave birth to Trig.

Sarah’s greatest fear is irrelevance. What if she fell in a forest and nobody heard?

You have to admit, the man does have a point.

So where are all of you on this topic?

I think that she's not running. Fox pushed Huck into making this very public decision but not Palin? No, she was told same thing. Decide to leave or stay, and she's still on payroll. She has no show, so she does not need to quell rumors.

    She's not running.

I find the delusion that Sarah is in any way shape or form qualified to be the POTUS laughable. Other than being a citizen and of age, she has no redeeming intellect, interest, or temperament to be the person with the finger on the button. It is a sad commentary on the education and intellect of our voters that she has ever been considered to be put forth as a candidate for elected office for anything other than state fair queen. She is an embarrassment and a danger to herself, her family and us ans a nation.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Anonymous8:24 AM

Don't kid yourself Gryphen. She IS that delusional! She really believes she can be president! But don't look for her to announce her run any time soon. She will wait until the very last minute - probably next fall or early winter - right before the primaries start to jump into the race. That way she will not have to participate in any debates that happen before that time. And it gives her more time to watch the other candidates self-destruct and decide whether she has a chance of winning or not. If there is one candidate who is doing well, then she can decide not to enter the race. But she hasn't taken herself out like Huckabee did, and she won't close that door unless she is somehow discredited by someone coming forward with damaging info that will keep her out of the race (like Babygate).

I have always written in comments, for over 2 years, that Mrs. Palin has to open a new PAC, quit FOX, and start hiring staff--more than some old guy who worked for Dole and McCain (candidates who both lost, by the way) & a Breitbart blogger to replace the exodus of professional speechwriters. Has she done that yet? No. How late in the year can she do that and still fool the dummies who follow her?

Yes, she MAY make TOKEN motions towards the GOP primary, but only as a money-making venture, and then will bow out early--that's the worst case scenario. Huckabee did it before, too.

I would like to add that those with books coming out most likely want to maintain the ugly looming spectre of her candidacy. It sells more books that way, you know.

  10. I don't believe Palin is at all a devout Christian. She has shown so many traits and sinful ways that are totally uncharacteristic of true believers. Just another of her patronizing lies. How many of the seven deadly sins has she repeatedly committed? How many Commandments has she breached? "All of them"?

    ReplyDelete
  11. It's all moot anyways, since the rapture takes place on 5/21, and surely such a Christian woman as Palin (snort!) will be one of the chosen.

I want her to get in and suck up as much of the GOP money as she can. We know that money just goes to Neiman Marcus anyway so who cares. There will come a time where she is nationally humiliated. It may be slow, it may be fast but it will happen.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Anonymous8:31 AM

Yeah, she's delusional enough to run.

Or at least to pretend to run.

Enough to get her fools and tools to send her more money to her personal acct.

Greedy bitch wants the $$$ but not the responsibility of actually governing.

AK should have taught people that.

Perhaps she is already running(at least in her mind). Remember, we are talking about a monstrous infant here. It is all about her(as in "to infinity and beyond") and GOD has anointed her. None of the normal "rules" apply to Sarah Palin.

i go over and read the c4p posts for entertainment at least once a week. i am beginning to think that she has painted herself into a corner with her supporters. if she doesn't run it's going to be very embarrassing that she has led these people down the primrose path. i would put my money on her running, at this point. she may bow out early for some reason, as someone above theorized, but she'll run. this will save face for her, and it will also give her more material to keep giving speeches and making $$$ after it's over. i think it's the only choice she has other than to fade into the sunset and i don't see her wanting to do that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous8:43 AM

I don't think she'll run because she has been warned by the GOP TPTB NOT to run. While she's tempted to enter another fight against a good ol' boys network, this time she's scared because they've got the goods on her and will use it to take her down. She'll tease and pussyfoot about it for months to come so she can grift more $ from the 'bots, but ultimately she backs down and will use the usual victim card & hiding behind her family as the excuse.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous8:43 AM

I would say not running if I thought Sarah Palin had any sense. But she doesn't. She's so far deep in mental illness that her reality is 1) she's qualified and capable 2) she has enough support to win. I am not being a smartass either - I think she has a personality disorder and is probably sociopathic. That is why I have always felt sorry for her children.

Rule # 1 - Rational thinking never applies to Sarah.
    I believe she will run.
She will use the same tactic in a debate as she did during the VP debates. Spout a talking point - whether or not it addresses the issue under discussion. Her bots will be so dazzled by her *brilliance* (bullshit) that what she actually spews won't matter to them.
Rule # 2 - The rest of the world will be pointing and laughing!

The best summary is that if she were rational she would not run but she is not rational. So, who knows?

Sarah's crosshairs and her blood libel will finish her off if she puts her foot in the race. The only way to keep on the money train is not run just like Huck. If she ran, she will lose badly and more things will be brought out about her and her family that she prefers to be quiet.

Sarah has made too many enemies since 2008 and she will get those people's wrath and she will go down. I'm with anon @ 8:24. She'll get in at the last minute as a third party candidate because 'there just isn't anyone out there who can speak for the people'. It will be last minute enough to avoid debates or any serious and concentrated investigation of her 'gates' by the lsm. She'll be the hero to her small and insignificant base but will forever alienate the GOP. It will give her enough exposure to keep her in the media spotlight which will likely generate another book and continued speaking engagements. That's the real goal: not POTUS.

That is unless someone comes out with the complete tell all about Trig. Then she loses all.

SP is stellar at one thing- grifting.

That being said, Gryphen, I think your scenario is the most plausible.
Her ego is too fragile (narcissist)to actually suffer the utter humiliation at open debate that she would. However, as long as she milks the vague possiblity of entering the ring, the csh will flow. For her, that is the bottom line.

I do believe she is somewhat delusional, but the narcissism will force her to find another way to support that delusion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Anonymous8:56 AM

I think she's going to hang around and hope she gets drafted at the RNC convention. That way she never has to debate anyone except POTUS and she'll do the same schtick as she did with the VP debate. MSM won't call her out and her admirers will claim she wiped the floor with POTUS, though she might want to re-think asking him if she can call him Barry. I'll just sit on the sidelines, keep yapping and snarking and making money, if the opening is there to come in and save the party then she can feel like she's on top of the world. The question is how far the MSM will allow themselves to sell papers and ad time instead of outing her for the liar she is. When she had power last winter the mainstream Repubs took her down, that might happen again unless she defines her plans

  39. Anonymous9:12 AM

I just finished Geoffrey Dunn's book -- a must read!

Her delusion that she could be POTUS goes back all the way back to her campaign for mayor in the 1990's.

During one meeting, her campaign manager Linda Chase told Palin that she could end up being governor in ten years.

Palin then declared "I don't want to be governor. I want to be President". This is on page 61 of The Lies of Sarah Palin; The Untold Story Behind Her Relentless Quest for Power.

Think about it. She has had this aspiration for about 25 years, and she made it to VP candidate!

    Why would she stop now?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous9:13 AM

I think she is still smarting from the 2008 campaign and is not yet ready to face it again. She'd rather continue to lob grenades from behind a barricade, and isn't too keen to leave that safety zone just yet.

She has been hinting that it depended on who was running. I think she was counting on using her support of Huckabee as an excuse. Now she doesn't have that and the evangelicals need some kind of horse in the race.

Here's how I see it. Sarah was never going to run cuz it was always about the money. She can continue to give speeches and hope one of the candidates will allow her to support him (or her...like MB) and play faux Queenmaker, and along with her Fox gig that keeps her in the limelight.

But I guarantee Fox pressured Huck to make his decision soon and that they are doing the same to Sarah, which puts her in an interesting bind as she was hoping to string this out as long as possible. Just no way do I see Fox allowing her to string it out til end of summer though.

So she has two options. Do like Newt and Santorum and temp suspension of Fox contract, or come out and say she isn't running by whatever deadline Fox may impose. If the former, that enables her to raise a lot more money from her fanatic and naive fans on the grounds she is "exploring" her options, she can do like MB just did, say "if you believe in me, show me the money!"

So I'm thinking that is what will happen, she won't announce either way and will take temp suspension of Fox contract, grift as much as she can and then give whatever reason down the line that she is not running. She/they know they have strung the bots along heavily and they will be disappointed, so they are working on some kind of exit strategy that will enable them to keep those bots around and supporting her. "It is not the best thing for my family to again put them through such lamestream media lies and distortions," something along those lines I'd wager.

    She never intended to run.

The only reason she will openly run is if whatever corporate entity who has been paying her for the poorly attended speeches, stops. She'll want to get the Secret Service and huge arenas full of the klan and secessionists like herself. It will make her hot and she'll pretend she didn't know she wasn't supposed to charge people to hear her word salad.

Anyway, anytime she comes to this blog or any other one that calls her out it only makes her more determined to act stupid. All appeals to sarah are real and made with her best interest in mind.

Also, too, sarah and Bristol are obsessed with Levi. He is all the two talk about besides money. They simply cannot stand being ignored by him. That last article was a desperate cry out for Levi to pay attention to them.

OF course she's running. She won't worry her ugly wigged head about the debate...she thinks she won the VP debate. She THINKS she's smart. She thinks she's qualified. She thinks she's all that and a bag of chips. She probably really thinks the wig on her head is her own hair. She's cuckoo.

And Huckabee, he's a scumball, but he's a scumball who probably has a modicum of love and concern for his family, and as such, he wouldn't want to put them through all the crap that they will face. Plus there's the money.

Sarah doesn't care about the money, because there is no reason for Sarah to think that she won't be able to steal from her campaign, since she got away with it the first time. She got away with those tip jars for her PAC at the book signings (which should be illegal, because I'm pretty sure all monies going to PACs have to be recorded because there are limits on what people can give.) She probably thinks she could get away with another tip jar...all for her...Plus, a presidential campaign means months of being in front of the media, months of being out of Alaska and staying in the nicest hotels -- on the campaign's dime. How could she possibly pass this up?

I do not think she will run. She will ramp up the fund raising for her "exploratory committee", who will find that it's not fiscally possible for her to overcome the big money that's out to destroy her. Sadly, she'll have to keep her speaking gigs and be the special commentator at Fox News. After all, there are a lot of open seats at Fox News for special commentators. The rest are all running for President.

Sarah Palin running for president is like Sarah Palin getting a Jay Leno chin implant.... it is just for looks. Sarah has no plans to be president. All she wants is to be able to say she ran for POTUS and that may add a little more to her speaking fees.

People are just waiting to see her in a debate that FOX has nothing to do with.

What is really going in the Republican party?

Since Obama rating is high, nobody in the GOP wants to run for POTUS against Obama except for the GOP nobodies who are expendable. The GOP with a chance of being POTUS will wait for 2016.

Sarah thinks people were hard on her and her family when she was McCain's vp pick. These same people are waiting for her to announce that she is running for president and all hell will break out against her retarded family.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous10:44 AM

However she runs, whenever she runs, she will not participate in any real, live debates. She barely made it through the VP debate against Biden without having a complete nervous breakdown.

The primary debates are way more cut throat and she'd be up against bastards like Newt and religious psychos like Santorum (does that guy seriously believe he stands a snowball's chance in hell?)

And she'll never agree to a debate against Obama or the chosen GOP candidate.

Nope, if Sarah runs, it will be via Facebook, Twitter, and Fox News (and her Facebook and Twitter entries will be written by somebody else).

Personally, I think she'll run unless the shit really hits the fan before next fall. The voices in her head and her handlers have been whispering in her ear far too long about how she's destined for the white house. She really, really believes it to be true.

I'd love to see the shit hit the fan right after she throws her hat in the ring. That would be sweet.

Second, I adhere to my earlier prediction, that La Belle Palin is NOT running for President. She's playing the Don Trump--Pat Paulsen card of FAKE running for President, so she can set herself up as a King maker. She real goal is to replace James Dobson at Focus on the Family. The presidency is a REAL JOB, and Private Citizen Palin has demonstrated she does not do well with real jobs. But a fake job like symbolic Queen of the Nuts (ie the Focus on the Family idiots), that's right up her ally: lots of attention, lots of money, lots of accusing others of using teleprompters (while reading off a teleprompter), no real work.

She'll run third party. That way she avoids debates and can keep up her current strategy of social media and crazy speeches wherever she feels like it.

And she'll find something to play the victim card about and drop out. And she can then refer to herself as a one time "presidential candidate" versus a VP one.

SP won't be allowed to run for POTUS w/o submitting her medical records. Mitt (or Milt, as the Quitter insisted his name is) won't give her a pass throughout the GOP primary without playing it straight. The GOP nomination is an elected position so there won't be any 11th hour buffoonery allowed. Anyone with even minimal political acumen realizes that the GOP doesn't want her as their nominee, and she doesn't have the mental stamina nor poise to stand up to a public vetting by the press. I'll be honest--- I'm so weary of her screech that is tearing at the fabric of civil society, but I have no doubt that there would be so much entertainment in the bloodbath of a general election with her on the GOP ticket or even if she made a late entry as a 3rd party candidate. In either of those two scenarios, President Obama is a lock. He has the temperament and poise to rise above all of the nonsense that she could dream up. Plus, the GOP establishment would be giving the Dems a stranglehold on both Houses in Congress b/c the Tea baggers wouldn't be able to run away from the shadow that SP would cast over the general election. SP would likely cost the senate 4-5 seats, and possibly give Dems a shot at a sweep for a supermajority. So I am willing to play politics for a couple of years so we can give the President the mandate that he will need to right some of wrongs of our era for the future of our families. Huckster's dropping out is a signal that the demand for Tylenol extra strength might be spiking soon as the Grifter takes stock of her imaginary political capital. Gryph, if you guys take her down before she causes a bloodbath in the GOP primary, I'm fine with that too. Immediate gratification in this instance would help everyone outside the Sea of Pee live a more peaceful, tranquil life sooner. Thanks for staying the course.

Palin is allergic to real work. I think she will angle for another VP run, as she is convinced that the Vice President doesn't really do anything. A VP run would only take her out of her sap-shilling for three months, after which she can a) get to live in a really neat house in DC and party with the gorgeous people, or b) go back to raising money to do absolutely nothing, and hey! There's another book in it to be ghostwritten while she sits by the pool and pouts.

I don't think Romney would put up with her for one minute. But Newt? He clearly doesn't like her, but she would be the silver bullet to neutralize all the vampire scandals he has accumulated.

Palin is the the ONLY VP candidate who would magically make Newt's baggage "disappear" among the Fundamentalist Right Wing voting block. He could easily take her on for that reason alone, knowing that she wouldn't want to interfere with any real White House work post-election, could be easily ignored and sidelined whilst keeping the Fundies and PalinBots in thrall. And he, like Sarah, has enough hubris and delusion to think he can pull it off, that he is powerful enough to make Sarah sit and listen when he barks.

I know, it didn't work for McCain, but the Tea Party is now a real force in this country, and Newt needs a Newtralizer or his past bad deeds are gonna bring him down, lose him the vote on his record alone.

111. When Palin quit the governorship, she made it clear (to me, anyway) that she was no longer a politician.

Instead, she is a highly paid entertainer. She appears on Fox TV as a commentator, wrote 2 books, gives paid speeches, and had her own reality show. She is like Rush Limbaugh now: a political entertainer, not a politician. The job is easier and the pay is MUCH higher.

I've believed this steadfastly since she quit. She is just not a serious politician any more. There is no way that she can overcome the hurdle of quitting in the middle of her first term as governor and become a credible candidate for president. How could she possibly convince a majority of voters that she would stick to the tough job of president for 4 full years?

So, I have been certain that she will not run. But, there is one caveat: I think she will do whatever she believes will keep her market value high.

Would it be more lucrative to run and lose (I don't think she could win the Republican nomination) or not run at all? That is the question.

Gryphen has posted a plausible scenario of Palin running for a short while then pulling out due to 'family issues', as a way of maintaining hope (also known as $ in her pockets) among her supporters for a 2016 run. If she runs and flops miserably, for all to see, it might dampen her earning potential. If she doesn't toss her hat into the ring, her supporters will be profoundly disappointed and it might dampen her earning potential. This is what she is analyzing to make her decision, imho.

I disagree with you a little bit, Gryphen. I don't think Palin is quaking in her boots at the thought of debating Romney and Gingrich and Pawlenty. She's confident she can bamboozle 'em.

I can't point to a link, but I bet you're familiar with this story, Gryphen. Palin was debating (for gov? mayor?) and her opponent marshalled lots of numbers and data and informed views, while Sarah tossed a feel good word salad, youbetcha. The opponent talked with her afterwards, and she said something like, "I see you talking about all these numbers, and I look out there and don't think they are really getting them, at all. Your knowledge is impressive, but it doesn't really matter, does it?"

The only exception to that self-confidence, of course, is that she has to know that her opponents will bring up her quitting in the middle of her first term as governor, relentlessly. She'll have a prepared answer, and she'll have to toss out variations of it over and over again. Does she want to vigorously defend herself as a quitter? Maybe that's why she'll choose to avoid the debates. But not due to lack of confidence about her lack of knowledge -- she don't think she needs no stinkin' facts.

It is a well known fact that the Palins do not know how to pull out and that is why Grandma Sally and Sarah were forced into marriage due to being “knocked up” and as far as Bristol goes, Sarah never talked to her about pulling out either and she is now man-less with a child. So Bristol resorted to getting her fat face fixed up in hopes of landing a rich man.

    B) “… scenario of Palin running for a short while then pulling out due to 'family issues…”

    1. Is that code for Willow is knocked up?
    2. Is that code for Todd is in jail for getting picked up in a prostitute sting by the police (not the Anchorage Police Dept)?
    3. Is that code for Track is prison for taking his pilot’s license and flying meth out of state?
    4. Is that code for Piper was picked up by Child Protective Services for being abandoned at home by herself and not going to school while Todd was out hoeing , Sarah was out grifting and Willow was at Auntie‘s house getting ready to deliver her first “Mono” like Bristol did?

    C) “… I don't think Palin is quaking in her boots at the thought of debating Romney and Gingrich and Pawlenty. She's confident she can bamboozle 'em…”

    1. The problem here is Sarah’s line “Can I call you Joe?”. Sarah can’t be cute about it this time since their names are not Joe Gingrich or Joe Pawlenty.

I'm sincerely hoping the decision is taken out of her hands altogether by:

    A) something in one of the upcoming books that will end her political career for good and send her crawling back to her compound in Wasilla with her tail between her legs. AND lock that damn door behind her!

    B) something that the RNC has on her that they have made clear to her they will release if she makes an official announcement.

I like Joe and plan to buy his book, but c'mon. He has to hope that she's running and has to gin up fear that she will in order to keep interest in her (and his book) up.

  123. My predictions:

She will run. She will get in very late. She will NOT participate in debates (unless she get questions in advance) and she will NOT appear on Sunday talk shows.

She will run campaign via ghost-written facebook posts, editorials (also ghost-written) and twitter.

She will do this for many election cycles. By the way, one of her screeches (October 2011) is going to be broadcast to 1000 churches across the U.S.

Unless a real candidate (Romney) puts a fundie xtain on the ticket, she will divide the Republican Party beyond redemption.

    @ 11:00 am:

thank you for addressing my question, but I am still unclear as to what it is that makes her pac different and why she can't run with it. I understand you say "it's the way it was set up" but I'd like to know exactly what it is about the set-up that would require her to form a new pac if she was going to run for president.

Is Willow back in the Kline Institute in NY? Curious Americans want to know and is it for drugs, alcohol or anger problems?

  127. I don't see why everybody is in a panic. Sarah is gonna be raptured in less than a week and we will be well rid of her.

Hint: this is what I Tweeted after watching the video...

In order to run as an independent you have to qualify in each state
in order to appear on the ballot of that state. It takes a lot of work: gathering signatures, forming a support group, etc. It would be a lot of WORK - a four letter word to Sarah. I think she'll continue to infer she "might" run as long as she can in order to grift a much as she can and then decide to not run, as others had said, because of some family thing.

    Phuket Tom

  132. emrysa - SarahPAC is a non-connected PAC (political action committee) that is limited in the amount that can be donated to any specific candidate during any election period ($5,000). The PAC can pay Sarah's administration, travel, etc. costs as long as she's not a candidate.

Funds to finance an actual candidacy have to come from a candidate's committee that is subject to different FEC rules.

I will never believe those elections were not rigged. Far as I am concerned, Bush was installed as a result of fraud and manipulation.

Sarah's handlers are probably telling her it's okay to milk a couple of more millions from her illiterate followers, but that it would cost them too much money for a presidential run in which they KNOW she will not win.

She has been overexposed and with at least three books coming out about her lies and such - that's not going to sit well with TPTB - you know, the folks who REALLY select the president.

Sarah's 'star' appeal has disappeared but again, she'll milk the gullible for all their worth - then she will be forgotten - and no one will care after the 2012 election anyway. So be it.

I doubt that Joe McG's finances are dependent on the sales of this book. He has long been a successful and respected author. If anything it might be described as a form of public service for those not a member of the internet choirs. We must never forget just how many people take little interest in politics and their government. $P's face and name may just be well known enough to fool enough of our uninformed fellow citizens to vote her into office.

Getting a dialogue going in the MSM media about her real intentions and past performance is essential and Joe McG's fine reputation is just one more way to do that. Geoffrey Dunn's too. Levi's book may just provide some dessert. Whatever it takes but $P must not be allowed to be Queen for a Day much less Queen for four years.

She's not going to run because it's all about the MONEY.

When she declares her candidacy, she will forfeit her spot on Faux News and will not be able to charge outregeous speaking fees to gullible organizations. She's not going to do that.

She loves the public (read Palinbots) screaming for her to run. She'll never say she's not running and will play coy, and maybe, get in the race at the last minute, just for more attention.

She will never be a serious candidate because she does not have anyone on staff who can run a national campaign. No one. Anyone with the experience left after she threw them under the bus. As an independent, she could not get on the ballot for all fifty states.

Unless there is a way to seriously run for the Presidency without having to disclose her finances and without having to debate anyone and without having to be interviewed by all the media outlets, she's not running.

I don't think that's a stretch to consider. the r's are going to need someone on the ticket who will get the religious fundies motivated to vote. don't think it will be the quitter, so it just might be huck. just like with mccain, the fundies are not going to be excited or motivated to vote for a moderate, which is who the republicans will need at the top of the ticket. they've got to get "the base" out somehow.
