I have to say that if this were MY child body checking an adult she would find herself on that RV so fast it would make her little head spin, and she would be getting a lecture on showing respect to her elders and basic good manners.
Of course I would NEVER have subjected my family to this three ring circus in the first place, since I am a REAL family values progressive, and not a pathetic phony like the Grizzled Mama.
Now for all of you who came over the other day to give me a hard time about reporting that Piper has been described as a "diva" at her school, what do you have to say now?

Something will have to give.
Piper is likely being told the same piece of fiction that Sarah is putting out in the media. That this is their "family time." That journalists won't leave her alone. That it's unwanted attention.
So when they're out and about, she doesn't realize that her mother called the local news to tell them where she'd be. That publicists are manipulating this whole thing. That it's all being staged.
This child can't understand that. So she's rude. Because HER space IS being invaded.
I feel so so so sorry for this little girl. She needs to be out in the yard on her bike, swimming off their little dock this weekend in perfect Alaska 80-degree summer weather. Sleep-overs with other little girls. Day camp. Little League. Sleeping late and running around the house with squirt guns, in the same t-shirt she wore yesterday and slept in, in the hammock.
Our guy, the same age, was plain old worn out last night. Almost couldn't speak, his holiday weekend was so fun and full.
Jesus, hey Palins, hey Sarah's staff, somebody get that little girl out of there and over to Todd's mother Blanche for the summer. That's enough!
So sad how a mother can ignore her child. That is why Piper's older siblings are so screwed up.

After reading the comments about Piper and school..I really think Sarah is afraid to send her kids to a good boarding school to get an ecellent education because then they would be able to think for themselves and form their own opinions. She was helping to keep a perimeter around that poor excuse for a parent the same way she's seen security do their job. But your point is still valid. No normal, respectful kid pulls that garbage. Considering how lazy he appeared in SPA, one wonders what he learned, if anything, from his military experience. They say blogs can be mean, but in many cases it's the opposite. We give too much credit, and I think we thought Piper would be the good kid, different than the others. In reality, she's growing up with the same exact family values.

But eventually, you know, there's a price to pay for treating people like shit. Even if it's one day in your life, it's a day you'll remember. Go ask Lindsey Lohan, or Britney. Go as Paris Hilton how she felt when her boyfriend got her drunk and spread a video of her naked in a bathtub, or that week she spent in jail. See, this is where the bots get all twisted up. They envision Sarah is a celebrity running down the street trying desperately to protect her children from the paparazzi. LOL. Um....dude, she painted a bus!! Even Greta laughed about that one. Sarah has blogged and twittered about where she'll be, and even hijacked a motorcycle parade. And just to be SURE the reporters are forced to cover her,...she paid for the bus trip with PAC money. So this is not an RV on vacation. SARAPAC money is for politics, not sightseeing.
This is a circus, and as per usual, she's throwing her children in the middle of it. Piper's just gonna have to man up and deal. That's what you do in that family.
Sarah goes to the reporter and Piper comes in for the body block; Piper's shorts were a little too short to be out and about in a very public place.

So she uses her children for companionship when she's bored or lonely, then ignores them the rest of the time. Track is the smart one. Hopefully, he and his wife will live their own lives and have no contact with "the Palins".
Piper is exhibiting learned behavior. Think about it. She has been Sarah's shield for years. Sarah rarely goes anywhere w/o her, to shied herself from questions or comments that are negative, because most people do not want a child to hear booing and such. Sarah is a nasty woman, and what she has done to this child is awful. Piper isn't a brat. She is an abused child in my eyes. She has been manipulated into the role of a 10 year old diva bodyguard, and the blame lies on her mother.

It's just that she knows she can't count on it after numbers plummeted at her recent speaking engagements so to compensate, she's playing it coy to look like she doesn't want the attention she probably wasn't going to get anyway and, in her own mind, rationalize the fact that she still plans to run.

I think that, from Piper's point of view, this promised "family vacation" has been a disaster. That is what we see on her face. I don't think that she's trying to protect her mother. I think Sarah had plans to staff it and drive around to rallies and press conferences but couldn't find anyone interested in joining her or having her so she had to fill it with family and say that she didn't want any media coverage. Is it true that Trig has never had occupational therapy? I have a niece who was adopted from a Russian orphanage who from the time she arrived here at 13 months had OT, PT, Speech, Swim therapy, plus daily therapies performed by her family at home (sensory issues.) She is now 7 and still has several therapies. I wondered how Sarah could run for president and still manage all of these therapists and doctors' appointments. Are you saying he has had NOTHING? How tragic.
During the Rolling Thunder grand entrance of Palin, Piper kept grabbing Sarah's arm and repeating, "Let's go, Mom. C'mon, Mom, let's go!".

To me yesterday's body check incident looked liked Piper was desperately trying to head off yet another endless, repetitive bullshit session with the crushing press. Seems like she tried by blocking the guy, so her mom would keep moving.
And true to form, Sarah took absolutely no notice of Piper or the fact that she is mobbed and buried, her little head level with strange men's mics, arms, bodies...and no one cares. Can't really blame the kid for acting out.
I've seen other needy children do far worse in an effort to gain a neglectful parent's attention, so it's obvious in which direction Piper's behavior is heading...I predict we'll see some out and out tantrums from Piper at this rate of Sarah's oblivious neglect.
It also reminds me of Palin's Alaska in the episode that Sarah sets up to look like they are all baking muffins or cake, some crap, together.
Sarah admonishes Piper to stop licking the spoon and stirring the batter and goes right back to texting on her blackberry.
Piper shows the first of her willful behavior to us when she deliberately dips her fingers in the bowl and goes to town on the batter, all the while glancing over at her oblivious mother.

Piper, when she gets older, is the type of girl you would want to keep your distance from. As a man it is too dangerous to be associated with a girl who's family is always claiming sexual misconduct by men or are constant victims of men. If I was a male teacher I would ask Piper to be placed with a female teacher. No telling what would happen if you flunk Piper in school, the Palin family will accuse you of flunking her because she would not touch you in an appropriate manner. Sarah has claimed one too many times that her daughters were threatened with rape but never filed charges with the police department.
Piper is going to grow up like her mom and family, the professional victims.

ReplyDeleteWhen Trig's doctor started asking for the records pertaining to the assigned therapies, Sarah sent BRISTOL to take poor Trig to the doctor with a message from Sarah- "we're contracting out private therapists, the best possible available".
When Bristol returned with a message from HIM basically saying- "I commend any and all advocacy on behalf of your son, but as his primary care pediatrician I need to be in communication with his therapists so we may discuss ongoing needs and progress"...Sarah pulled Trig from his service, telling Todd the doctor was "too in our business".
Now (allegedly) Trig is seen monthly by a private physician who comes to the residence. It was made clear up front that what Sarah wanted was someone who would be willing to accept a large sum of money for every "housecall" in exchange for consistent reports about how "great" Trig is "thriving".
The physician who took this job went to a medical school which is known for turning out subpar charlatans (this person basically attended the "off shore bank" of med schools) but even so, I hope this doctor is getting a frisbee sized ulcer from the guilt that surely comes with seeing no progress, no therapy, the travesty of a three and a half year old (born in Feb 2008- THE END) still on a bottle...and calling it "thriving".
I actually am not sure who Trig's primary caregiver is now. I know they fired at least one nanny because Sarah refused to leave her & Todd alone while she traveled. I know that neither Sarah nor Todd has been living in the same residence with Trig for the better part of this year. I personally have not seen Trig since March, and prior to that I saw him on a fairly regular basis, a couple times a month or so.
I don't know why Trig is "in hiding"...but my best guess is that due to his major recent growth spurt, he looks much older than a child who supposedly just turned three...and he found his "druthers" so to speak-- and when someone he isn't familiar with or someone who is stressed and tense tries to pick him up, he has a major freakout. Sadly, these days his "mother" falls into both those categories.
Sarah absolutely will not let her base judge her for being a bad mother upon seeing her "cuddly, dependent" boy shove her away with the strength and rage of a caged bull. It truly is impossible to describe how Trig seems to hate her. So I agree with the other person/people who have said we'll see Trig soon because her base simply demands it. But he will be, conveniently for Sarah, asleep. VERY asleep.
I agree with 4:02 pm. My feelings on watching this were sympathy for the kid that she thinks this is her role. Also, there goes Sarah hiding behidn her kids again, using them as human shields.

Oh god, that is absolutely heartbreaking, and absolutely unnecessary. I had hoped that the reason he is kept out of the public eye is that he so resembles Levi, which I noticed in one of his more recent photos (and may have been commented on on a blog). To think that he is no better than past generations of mentally retarded children who were tucked away and hidden from public view.
ReplyDeleteThe town I grew up in had an older home that everyone joked was haunted near the elementary school I attended. When I was in high school the police were sent in and discovered a mentally handicapped man in his 50s who had been locked in the attic for more than 30 years subsisting on oranges and living in his own waste. He died about 2 weeks after he was discovered. NO, I'm not suggesting that is how Trig is treated, but it is still TRAGIC considering what is available to him today had he been in a family that was truly devoted to help him explore all his options in the world. (And, yes I am pro Choice.)

And while I have no idea if Trig is getting his therapies or not, I totally believe he doesn't recognize his mother.
Didn't Sarah say that quantity time is better than quality time with the kids? In the case of Trig though, seems like this poster is saying he's not even getting that.
She is probably doing exactly what Mommie Dearest has told her to do.

ReplyDeleteThe trouble with this scenario is that Piper would then treat her children the same way she was treated since it's normal loving and giving. She will think that kind of parenting is normal.
OMG, I am in tears about 8:01. Sometimes ppl come here and try to sound like they are in the know...and you can almost always tell it's RAM or Bristol or Sarah, trying to plant fake heartwarming info. But sometimes, like with Wendy the waitress, you feel strongly they are legit. I feel in my gut that 8:01 not only knows this information to be true...but she (he?) seems TRULY outraged on Trig's behalf.
ReplyDeleteMy dearest hope is that where one person like this is, more exist. I've hears rumors in the valley for months, claiming Sarah only sees Trig when she comes to pay his care givers (some people say it's her teenage niece, some people say it's a private duty nurse, and at least once I've heard it's Britta, so who really knows) and sometimes she doesn't even come in person, she puts the check in the mailbox.
The word I consistently hear is that Todd fought off this basic institutionalization of Trig for a long time. And Sarah pretty much said "if you can take care of him, fine..."
But after a point, Trig's lack of therapy had caused such a deficit, it was impossible to control him.
My heart hurts when I think of that precious little boy, possibly drugged into physical compliance...all day sitting in relative silence and without the corrective lenses he desperately needs.
God, please protect little Trig. To Trig's real mom, whether it be Bristol or someone else...you CAN fight for custody. Even if you signed adoption papers (and I doubt you did) they were fraudulently processed if Sarah promised you a loving home for him, that she would love, care for, and properly supervise him medically...she has not done that and so you can have any kind of agreement or confidentiality clause nullified. The second Sarah is unable to prove Trig has received all the therapies he needs, you can open the door for custody.
And I promise, I SWEAR...you could write about what Sarah Palin has put you through and get a book deal so that you would be able to stay at home with your son AND provide all the therapy he needs.
BRISTOL, if your mother ripped your tiny son from your arms and used him for political purposes...you CAN turn around. Despite Candies, DWTS, the plastic surgery...if you just open your heart and mind and tell the TRUTH...get your firstborn son and raise him with your secondborn son...and if there had been another baby since then, it's OKAY. Everyone knows you certainly didn't find love in the arms of your family...nobody could blame you for looking for it elsewhere.
WILLOW...the same goes for you. If you did find yourself pregnant at an impossibly young age, people WILL forgive and not judge you. You can file for emancipation from your parents if they took your baby from you. And you too can obtain the help of a more practiced author and write about your story, and sell it for a very large sum.
I've never rambled like this here but I feel the need to address everyone possible who reads here and has the power to make things right for defenseless Trig. DR CATHY, I strongly suspect you read here. Whatever you did or didn't do, keeping it silent is not worth turning this precious little boy into a shell, a shadow, of what he should and can be.
Anyone and everyone who has the power to save Trig from a very undeserved fate...in this case the truth not only sets YOU free but him as well.
God bless and keep you, little Trig. My most sincere prayer is that your truth is known...soon.
laprofesera (4:04pm) has it exactly right. This is such outrageous behavior for a child I can't believe it! No notice taken by Grizzly Mom at all. I am dumbfounded. This is so telling. It actually validates everything Frank Bailey says about Scarah in his book - at least for me. Disgraceful.
