From ADN:
In January, Attorney General John Burns granted an extension until May 31 with the "unequivocal expectation" that all records that aren't privileged would be released by then.
On Tuesday, Gov. Sean Parnell's deputy chief of staff, Randy Ruaro, told Burns that the review would be completed on time. But he said the logistics -- including copying and shipping -- will push the production and delivery of the emails past Tuesday. Ruaro says it could be June 10 before all records are shipped.
This is why I have been pimping Bailey's book so hard, and why I have never had much hope for this email release.
In the book the authors had access to many thousands of e-mails in their original state, with none of the important, and potentially devastating, information blacked out.
My feeling is that the Parnell administration is now worrying about having their e-mails come out full of redactions, only to be embarrassed by the possible release of Bailey's huge pile of e-mails, which would illustrate just what kind of self serving and petty things they felt should not be seen by the public.
By the way I think there are lots of things contained in them that current governor Sean Parnell does not want the Alaska people to see, which helps to explain why his administration is so resistant to the idea of releasing them to the public.
I am going to campaign for Bailey to release ALL of his e-mails. I was told once that it was a possibility, and I hope I was not led astray.
they need to order more sharpies.
ReplyDeleteIf Parnell is delaying the release to ensure the statute of limitations runs out, he should go to prison. PRISON
ReplyDeleteARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???!!!
ReplyDeleteThis just pisses me right off.
The longer they take to release the emails, the more convinced the American public is that they have something to hide. So good luck with that.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty shitty when you are trying to carefully craft a story and someone comes along and steals the storyline. Now what the hell are they going to do? Go back and re-dedact what is now out in public and try to anticipate what the hell else Frank might blow wide open? Talk about getting yourself into a pile of crap. Palin might skate because of statute's of limitations but the current Gov might not be so lucky if they can prove he obstructed justice. You see, you sleep with Saree and you will get diseased, and for that there's no anti-biotic
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see that photo of her, it's like I can read her mind... the evil glint in her eyes, the gritted-teeth smile... she's been captured on film being the gossipy, vindictive beyotch that she is... I've seen that look a thousand times in Jr and Sr High Schools, and "Diva" get togethers. So, so Sarah!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, back at the ranch, the Palinban has been pulling their panties out of their generous cracks all day.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a very, very bad day in Palinland.

I heard the state is trying to prevent release of the emails until some "statute of limitations" runs out on the two-year anniversary of $arah Palin's resignation from the office of governor, 26 July 2011.
ReplyDeleteDoes this make sense to anyone?
Pathetic. But so predictable.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if she's this afraid of the emails, there's no fucking way she's going to run for POTUS. So that's good.
Frank Bailey and Alaskan bloggers are forcing the Alaskan government to be transparent. Why should they have to be forced?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Gryphen! I picked up Bailey's book today and I'm glad I did. It really illustrates the Jim Jones-ness of her sect and I'm only on page 33!
ReplyDeleteIn the words of Monty Burns - RELEASE THE HOUNDS! (Or emails in this case).

5:09 PM
What happens on July 26, 2011? Does that mean Sarah can't be indicted for her crimes against the state?
Enough is enough. Release them on the day you promised.
ReplyDeleteAs it is, the statute of limitations is a mere 7 weeks or so after the emails are slated to be released.
ReplyDeleteIs there no one who can hold this administration accountable?
Oh for God's sake! What the hell! You had to figure this would happen but BROTHER.... Couldn't they just do the right thing this ONCE?
ReplyDeletePersonally I think the FBI should be called in to investigate the once again failed release and prosecute those responsible.
ReplyDeleteIf Parnell is delaying the release to ensure the statute of limitations runs out, he should go to prison. PRISON
ReplyDeleteOne would think that the sol pertains to when the request was actually made. No?
OT, but did anyone who's reading Frank's book also read the leaked manuscript? Is it significantly different?
ReplyDeleteIf the State of Alaska is "asking" for more time to finish redacting the info, then the PEOPLE of Alaska -- perhaps through their Reps -- need to say NO! No more time! Release them right now!
ReplyDeleteRecall the asshole!!!! Palin didn't like him according to the book released today....he is trying to protect himself obviously....Alaska is as corrupt as always. What idiots!
ReplyDeleteI believe in the law this is called "obstruction of justice".
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see all the video of Palin from the gubernatorial campaign saying that hers would be the most transparent administration ever....or maybe not so much.
I'm in the lower 48 and work for city government. We were told from the get go that ALL e-mails are public record so watch it. I understand you do not have that law, and the constant delay of the release only speaks "guilt" to the average thinking person.
ReplyDeleteWho the hell are they kidding?
Well, Sarah, ensconced in the new Blood Libel Hacienda in AZ, actually did get a bit of good news today. Governor Parnell's blind allegiance to her is still in effect and he's feverously working to protect her sorry ass.
ReplyDeleteBill Dedman from MSNBC is one that has requested the emails, he assured me "they have insisted they get a detailed list of any they are withholding" It will be interesting to see if Frank Baileys match.
ReplyDeleteFromm all the information all the lawyers in my life have given me, it is my understanding that emails of any kind can be released as long as non public contact information stays blacked out. But he has to do what is right for him and the emails, if released will affect many peoples lives and most likely will have very negative consequences for those people.

Palin's Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in June
I think the State should be ordered to sign some kind of papers stating, because of the delay in getting the emails, they have two years from the date of release to file ethics against them.
ReplyDeleteSaree must have some serious shit on Parnell for him to risk going down for obstruction. She can't be that good in the rack Sean, or if she is how are you going to explain making trips to AZ to get your rocks off? Maybe she can send the Gulfstream but don't hold out for much past July 26th. She's off the hook and you're on it now pal
ReplyDeleteQuestion: according to FRank's insertion of Todd's thoughts on Levi in his book, is he confirming what we've suspected all along, that their relationship as short term? There was no record of a long relationship. Bristol and Levi started dating in 07. They may have been friends before through hockey but that email from Todd paints a different picture. Levi was a punk player who used girls.
ReplyDeleteIt is clear that the emails can't be distributed until the ink arrives to print them. Since the contract to haul state ink has been let to some high school classmate's dogsled company, nothing can happen until it snows. Kwitcher bitchin!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe some Palin appointee has perhaps 'axcidntelly' reerased them agin. Like the PFD files.
Be sure of this- Captain Zero runs a tight ship. Just as soon as the printing press and ink arrive there will be no more delays. P.S. Got Dairygate in those emails?
I was certain I would not buy Bailey's book. I am staunchly offended by Devon's dismissive and demeaning attitude toward Babygaters. If she wants to stick her head in the sand that's fine, but I'll be damned if she thinks she can wield the authority to tell ME I'm not "allowed" to mention it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I wanted to READ it...I just didn't want to BUY it as a matter of principle.
But when the "surprise surprise, the emails aren't ready YET" news cake down the pike, I was overcome by my desire to get my hands on anything "scathing" about Palin.
So I broke down and bought it on my iPad (for iPad/iPhone users...you can get the free iBooks app and buy the book for $12.99 which seems a good price to me) and while I am mad at myself for "giving in" and putting even one penny in Devon's pocket...I can't say I'm NOT looking forward to reading it.
I'm thinking this may be the only chance I have to read some of Palin's emails. However, I will be praying that the judge sees through this obvious smokescreen of bullshit and threaten contempt of court/jail if the emails aren't release BY or before (yeah, right) the specified day.
The lack of enforcement of the law in regard to these emails is absolutely "unequivocally" MADDENING.
OT have you seen the latest sp fluff film to rewrite history? http://tinyurl.com/3kznnzd
ReplyDeleteremember, state emails implicate other govt officials as well. People are looking out for themselves. Look to all states and DC for examples of this behavior.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see all the video of Palin from the gubernatorial campaign saying that hers would be the most transparent administration ever....or maybe not so much.
ReplyDelete---
I'd love to see all video of ALL POLITICIANS SAYING THIS. DONT SINGLE OUT ONE ONLY PLEASE
Captain Zero has been in on holding those emails up since the beginning. He has a LOT to hide.
ReplyDeleteBailey needs to release ALL of those emails to Wikileaks. It's time those criminals were held responsible.
This could be another reason why they're stalling. They want this movie to come out first:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/25/palins_secret_weapon_new_film_to_premiere_in_june_109949.html
The woman in the photo who has 'blank' glasses - is as 'blank' in her brain power. A total idiot and liar as is proven in the book released today - via her own emails...nothing made up folks - she did it herself!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Dem won in New York (26) tonight where the area has been held by Repubs for eons....yea!!!! This is only the beginning!
ADN's story about this request for delay, in the comments, Andree McLeod is clearly after Bailey's ass and those of the co-writers for their access.
ReplyDeleteParnell is reading Bailey's book this very moment. Parnell is un-redacting as fast as he can.
ReplyDeleteWatching DWTS and I'm sure I just saw Toad & Scarah in the audience. When I noticed, it was a quick camera scan of the audience while Romeo was dancing. If it was them, they were sitting in the front row. If it was them, it was too quick to get a look at how bad she looks tonight.
ReplyDeleteThe ongoing delay, there should be an extension of the Statute of Limitations.
ReplyDeleteI smell a Court case coming on!! The State AG is too weak to do so and probably can't anyways.
I posted this earlier but it's not showing up. I'm thinking that this
ReplyDeletehttp://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/25/palins_secret_weapon_new_film_to_premiere_in_june_109949.html
might be another reason they're delaying releasing the emails. It's a pro-Palin propaganda movie. It comes out in June, and I bet they're hoping it will blow the two recent books about Palin out of the water, and the talk about the emails will be overshadowed.
Any of you Palin junkies have a clue on what the biggest "Sarah" story will be in June?
ReplyDeleteHint: the books by Baily, Joel McGuiness, and the highly anticipated "The Lies of Sarah Palin" will be relegated to the Amazon bargain bin.
You might want to Google "Palin + Stephen Bannon".
I guarantee not one of you--including Gryphen--saw this coming or knew anything about it just like none of us knew the plan to take out Usama.
Have fun.
This will light up this board. I guarantee it.
Any comment? Palin in new secret film deal? Palin's Secret Weapon: New Film to Premiere in June
ReplyDeleteOMG..she is running
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/25/palins_secret_weapon_new_film_to_premiere_in_june_109949.html
If this doesn't prove how completely Sarah Palin controls Alaska government, nothing does. When you have a governor literally carrying her water, holding those emails until the book comes out, it's just disgusting.
ReplyDeleteBailey's doing GREAT on Joy's show -- man he must be tired from all his interviews today.
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 6pm--
ReplyDeleteI was just going to mention this "masterpiece" film coming out in June. Somehow I just ran across the story. The 2012 spin has begun! The paid trolls and Bots are going orgasmic over at Real Clear Politics, comparing her to Saint Ronnie. Hey, everyone, do you know she's the only one who can save Amurika? What a bunch of whitewashed crapola THIS film will be!
Hmmmm, I wonder if - perhaps - an order went out on C4P and the like, to promote Palin's new "film"?
ReplyDeleteNah!
Palin is putting out a movie to be released in June in Iowa? You've got to be kidding me.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin just won't go away. She and "Tawd" just premiered a movie (revisionist shit lies) for their upcoming "whatever." Check this out. Delusional thinking prevails: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/25/palins_secret_weapon_new_film_to_premiere_in_june_109949-3.html
ReplyDeleteBlatant obstructionism. This MUST stop! Sean Parnell...you are a COWARD! Protecting the Quitter Queen is NOT a good idea. You will be sucked down the toilet with her soon.
ReplyDeleteGryph,
ReplyDeletePalin is releasing a feature-length film in Iowa next month:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/printpage/?url=http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2011/05/25/palins_secret_weapon_new_film_to_premiere_in_june_109949-full.html
I can't imagine how anyone could sit through 2 HOURS of this nonsense, but it will be a publicity blitz that will shower the evil one with much undeserved attention.
Please, powers that be, expose this psychopath's lies once and for all, so the country can move along to important things.
OT but Gryphen, you must pick up the thread from Real Clear Politics about the movie they are putting out about Saree. She's running for President. That's maybe why they are trying to hold the emails. Let them come out once the movie hits and her approval ratings skyrocket. At least that's their opinion. My god, I thought I'd read barf material about her before but this thing reeks of Joseph Goebbels. Is anyone tracking this abortion? Read all about it, enough to make me gag
ReplyDeleteseriously, someone needs to explain the Statute of Limitations. I have googled and read older posts, no clear explanation of if Gov. Parnell delays releasing the emails, how that would benefit Palin and any SOL.
ReplyDeleteI also need an explanation from Joe McGinnis on how delaying the emails until Sarah establishes residency in AZ would benefit her. cmon guys, is this a secret code you are all speaking??
The statute of limitations on eithics is two years...the statute for FRAUD is 10 years.
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, the FBI is investigating Sarah's little dairy plant. Seems that the bookeepper who was fired there could not find where they had deposited any of the $630,000 FEDERAL grant money. She believes she was fired for bringing that up. One of the co-owners built a brand new house and it appears there is not a mortgage note on it. Hmmmmm..... GOT
FRAUD??
The posts about a Sarah Palin movie, I'm not sure if these are real or concern trolls.
ReplyDelete1. It's highly doubtful the GOP would ever let her be the final nominee. Watching them destroy her would be entertaining.
2. I saw something from Obama's campaign that said the highest margins for victory would come from Granny or Newt as the GOP candidate.
Sarah Palin and Toad were just shown in the audience of Dancing with the Stars
ReplyDeleteAlaskans need to storm the Bastille.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that ass clown still in office?
Impeachment!
Quick note- The unpublished messages have nothing to do with fake pregnancies, secret abortions, or blood orgies. Apologies to my new troofer pals.
ReplyDeleteTokie de la Vega - disparaging the Trig Truthers.
Reading the story on this 'film', I've read one page of the three page story and I want to barf. Pure out and out BULLSHIT.
ReplyDeleteReintroduce herself -- yearightsure.
She has still done no work whatsoever to learn a fucking thing about the workings of politics and history of the country.
Time to put crosshairs on her. Karma's a bitch!!!

ReplyDelete26th New York District Special Election
The Republican LOST. A seat held by Republicans since - forever!!! The Democrats WON.

You know why they're still stalling, right?
ReplyDeleteThey're going to go through the book, pull every one of the e-mails Baily used, then redact them and then sue him.
They'll claim his use was illegal or damages her in some way. Whatever. I'm surprised they didn't try to stop publication of the book or it's release.
Where's wikileaks when you need them?
ReplyDeleteA busy Day for G. Just like when Governor Quitty quit.
ReplyDeleteHere might be another reason for an email delay. Posted somewhere else here.
Is the FBI investigating the Dairygate Dairy?
http://www.frontiersman.com/articles/2011/05/24/local_news/doc4ddb30f070a9d952185393.txt
WASILLA — The Alaska State Commission for Human Rights has ruled that discrimination and wrongful termination complaints filed against Matanuska Creamery by two former employees have merit.
Former creamery office administrator Kay Schaugaard and former pasteurizer Amy Moore, who are both Mormon, allege company co-owner and Chief Financial Officer Karen Olson made disparaging remarks about Mormons and not wanting “any more (expletive) Mormons” working for the company. They also claim co-owner Kyle Beus did not take their discrimination complaints seriously before they were fired more than two years ago.
The case will now be heard by an Anchorage court judge, which could rule the company owes them back wages and more than $15,000 in other expenses.
Also, too:
Schaugaard and Moore also allege that company executives misused federal grant monies for personal investments or illegally used them to support a separate company that makes milk jugs.
And then there is this:
Schaugaard said Monday the Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation into the alleged funds misuse. When contacted earlier this year, the FBI would neither confirm nor deny such an investigation exists, as is its policy.
If it's the FBI investigating Dairygate, there should be plenty of paperwork to review concerning these FEDERAL loans. All of them, which have been made by and to all these friends and appointees. What's the statue of limitations for fraudulent loans obtained from the federal government? Betcha it's longer than two years.
You were expecting the gov office of AK to what they were supposed to? The Department of Lawlessness is driving this train. They are probably panicked putting redactions back when the information was revealed in Bailey's book. They are probably going through all the emails again with a fine toothed comb trying to determine if what they are trying to hide would ever come out in some way. They may need lots of toilet paper and new undies.
ReplyDeletegood to know the justice system works (not). "Give us the emails"
ReplyDelete"later."
"give us the emails."
"later!"
"no, NOW!"
"Just five more minutes!"
"If we don't have them in two seconds, you're gonna be in big trouble."
"okay, just give me five minutes."
"Sure."
I don't understand why the people who requested the information, the public, the citizens of Alaska are not calling the court and Parnell and demanding that the games stop now.
ReplyDeleteIt's like you are already resigned to the fact they they will stall until it is too late to hold her legally accountable for anything. Alaska should want to dust off the scum of the Palin administration and picket your government to come clean of this information that the public has a right to see.
Why would someone with a negative view of Palin (about 80% or the population and what 60% of republicans)choose to watch a 2 hour movie about her??
ReplyDeleteI sure as hell will be complaining to my local irs office and the feds if the churches here in TN show a film promoting Palin as a candidate.
After she announces and when she is basking in the glow of her fictional movie self, we need to start a campaign to get the BigBoss to: Face the Nation, Meet the Press, Talk with Stewart or STFU.
This needs to be trotted over to the federal court. I'm sorry, but from down here it looks like virtually the entire Alaska state government is corrupt and loyal to Palin. There needs to be a judge who is willing to send the FBI to slap handcuffs on wee lil' Parnell and tell him that his stay in jail will be one day longer than it takes to release the e-mails.
ReplyDeleteThis is naught but a coverup and should be treated as such. This Alaska fish stinks from the head down, or should I say, from its former head down. In Alaska, the rule of law seems but a quaint idea that is simply ignored by the GOP.
Is saree the "Godfather" of the Alaska mafia? Is that why no one in power will take her on? What is in those emails anyway? Methinks it's felony material and not just for saree
ReplyDeleteI am SO angry. Today is a shameful day to be an Alaskan. Sarah, you will one day have to face ultimate judgement for all the hatred and poison you've wrought in this world.
ReplyDeleteTo the legal system here: please enforce justice. Please.
Disappointed but not shocked one iota. It's difficult for us to expect those guilty of corruption to testify against themselves. Scan and digitize the damn emails, Parnell. Yes, we know you're going to be embarrassed for being the wimpy, whining, Palin panty-sniffer that you are... we've seen enough to surmise that already. Additional delay just means more scrutiny! Remember, there's room for more corrupt bastards, so covering for Palin doesn't cover your ass anymore.
ReplyDeletePlaying prevent defense to try to run out the clock, Parnell?
ReplyDeleteOnly the fearful and guilty use that strategy. It's a losing strategy.
The coup de gras is that Frank's book has forced the state's hand. Bailey has worked to make amends, and it takes a man to admit a wrong and then fight to make right out of the injustice he helped by enabling the Quitter. Anyone trying to suppress the truth deserves Frank's spot under the bus. He's in the back of the bus right now, but I'm sure it's a smoother ride than under the tires. I see tread marks in your future, Palin & Co.
ReplyDeleteEnough! What are the Palin puppies hiding? Will anyone have more faith in Parnell the governor or any of his weak-chinned minions?
ReplyDeleteRelease the emails and let the chips fall where they may.
This makes me think that it is time for a good old-fashioned brooming (oh ok, housecleaning) in Juneau.
I guess I am startin' ta wonder if some Alaska public dollars ended up in the Palin empire. Other than her salary and just compensation.
ReplyDeleteCould Sarah be a distaff Bill Weimer? All noble chat on one front and slippery fingers on the other.
Surely Wassillaries don't condone this. They'da roasted Tony Knowles.
That's not the reason. Bailey's emails are all from his PERSONAL YAHOO ACCOUNT. The state is releasing emails sent to/from the state email addresses stored on state servers. Two totally separate batches of email.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible some Yahoo account emails got forwarded to the state accounts. For all Palin's gang thought they were oh-so-clever in having the Yahoo accounts, they clearly weren't clever enough to keep them out of the public eye.
The book's authors have long claimed complete cooperation with the AG. The idea that the AG had to wait on the book's release to "see what's in it" simply doesn't hold true.
I'm wondering if they're working up charges and don't want to release the emails before the charges are filed.
I'm just so ANGRY about this. When I saw that ridiculous excuse about "logistics" I thought "God help us...I feel like I woke up in a nation where democracy and 'for the people, by the people' never even EXISTED"
ReplyDeleteIs this what my state government has come to? Openly pandering to a woman who quit our state officially almost two years ago- and unofficially long before that-- to the point where they aren't even trying to HIDE the fact that they are desperately trying to drag this dead, bloated horse across the expired-statute finish line?
I have been livid about Palin's misdeeds many times. But THIS...well, I am angrier than I can put into words.
I beseech and beg EVERYONE to do just what I'm about to do upon finishing this comment-find as many ways as possible to contact the judge/court and write a letter explaining my devastation at the thought of there being no accountability here.
In fact, I am going to officially offer my services to assist in the copying of these documents since the state finds it so logistically impossible to press "copy" or easier yet "print".
Will it do any good? Likely not. But then when I read the July 5 press release "as the statute has expired, we will no longer be honoring any requests for these emails"...I can at least feel like I've done everything in my limited power to fight it.
Time it takes to copy and ship?!!! Seriously? Apparently the current Gov's office has not heard of scanning to a pdf? Something I can do on my home system. Seriously, there are also companies who can come in and do this for your. Who in the world wants all this crap "shipped" to them? Scan it, put it on a server, and turn the media and public loose on it. Stalling...stalling...stalling...
ReplyDeleteCurrently in the middle of Bailey's book (first Kindle purchase). It's quite gripping, but I assume there will be a time when he lays how he could have been so swayed as to throw away his sense of morality.
OK, the FBI needs to step in at this point. Clearly "the State of Alaska" is not handling what should be a routine request.
ReplyDeleteAnd everybody associated with this foot-dragging should be put before a judge and told what "obstruction of justice" means.
P.S. Please Frank, release all the emails you can come up with. Something rotten is going on in Alaska, and plenty of sunshine and truth should help clear up this dark infection.
The movie was planned when Sarah was popular. The more people see of Sarah the higher her unfavorable ratings go. She isn't boosting ratings at Fox and her speaking engagements are not to large audiences.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Sullivan weighs in on the Sarah Palin Movie.
ReplyDelete
