Senator Bernie Sanders exposes the Koch brothers.
This might be the most important video you watch today.
If you are as angered as I am by what these corporate assholes are doing to our country, and the lies they are telling Americans about Social Security, please help to spread this video spread as far and wide as possible.

Bernie is my favorite, he always tells it like it is. And stands up for the people.

He's a good guy, I hope? But then I thought Anthony Weiner was and what a let down that was.

ReplyDeleteI was under the impression that SS was doomed because of underfunding and the feds using the money to pay for Dick Cheney's and Donald Rumsfeld's retirement...not ours (via war spending).
Amazing (and frightening) how MONEY can cause such a widespread misunderstanding of the facts.
Maybe I'm dense (and I have no background whatsoever in economics), but I'm confused about the Koch Bros' motivation. I am certainly not questioning their influence, the fact that they must be opposed, or the importance of Sanders' campaign. I'm just seeking to better understand the enemy. Why do they want to de-fund SS and raise the retirement age? Why do they support the Dominionists and the Tea Party?
ReplyDeletei love bernie sanders. he and leahy used to be my senators when i lived in vermont, and i still consider them my guys in the senate (i have never taken to snowe and collins now that i live in maine; i wonder why?). bernie is not afraid to say he is a socialist, and he truly is passionate about social justice. i happen to think he's adorable,too, lol.

Kochs are Ideologues. They have power and so since they CAN end SS, they will because it is Socialism and ...this money needs to be in the market, invested in private enterprise and if you make all Americans shareholders, then they will all vote for whatever business wants. Logical to them, just not so good for people.

Instead they believe the propaganda because it is fed to them in a sensationalized form which they are addicted to and conditioned to respond to.
