Sarah Palin throws out another crumb for her supporters.

Who has two thumbs and is a big political prick tease? This girl!
Courtesy of Real Clear Politics:

In the latest indication that her sights are still set on a presidential run, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has accepted an invitation to keynote a Tea Party rally in Waukee, Iowa, on Sept. 3, RealClearPolitics has learned.

The Labor Day weekend visit to the nation's first voting state comes after Palin indicated during an appearance on Fox News earlier this month that she would make her decision about whether to launch a campaign in August or September.

All signs now point to September as the month when Palin would throw her hat into the ring, as logistical concerns ranging from fundraising to getting her name on the ballot in various states would likely preclude further delay.

Many prominent political analysts and Republican operatives have expressed skepticism that Palin is seriously considering a presidential bid, since she has not taken many of the steps that candidates traditionally take before jumping into the race, such as signing early-state consultants, contacting key powerbrokers and boosting their travel schedules.

But Palin has a long history of shunning the Republican Party machinery and taking an unconventional approach to campaigns -- a mind-set that appears to have been in play throughout the past several months.

Jesus this is just getting more and more pathetic.

Has anybody else noticed that Palin does just the bare minimum to keep stringing her simple minded supporters along?

Everybody writes her off as a candidate, so she goes on a family vacation disguised as the start of a political campaign.

It looks like nobody gives two shits about her movie, so suddenly she decides to drag Todd out of the mothballs and show up in Iowa for the premiere.

People start pointing out that they have not seen her for awhile, so she does a perfunctory eight minute interview with Greta Van Susteren on a topic that she can barely understand.

So now pundits are saying that she has done NOTHING to give any indication that she is a serious candidate, and all of a sudden we hear that she is giving a keynote speech in Iowa.

And do you know what?  The Palin-bots and political reporters will rise to the bait every single time!

Sad, but true.

G - Completely agree with you. Remember when everyone said she was going to announce in WI and then it was some lame speech cheered by Breitbart and RAM? This will be more of the same, and Koch-Sponsored. She is a corporate shill Koch-sucker. It will be a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing.

I think the Quitter will announce she's running but, as is her MO, she'll do the bare minimum during her so-called campaign. Her true nastiness and ignorance will be on constant display and her lies will be meticulously dissected by her opponents. Her facade will crumble into a puddle of goo.

I'll be ok with her farce because it'll finally wipe the US political slate clean of Lou Sarah. The sooner she is proven, beyond all doubt, to be a nothing, the better. I wish she'd quit dithering and get on with her announcement. She's soooo indecisive.

I just read an article about this and something jumped out at me:

"Susan Geddes, the event coordinator for the Tea Party of America, told ABC News that despite the organization only being a few months old, she found it easy to get Palin to sign on to the September event."

I think it's highly suspect and interesting that this particular tea party group is very "new".

Let's see, since Sarah responds well to comments, let's tell her we really, really, (or rilly, rilly) want her to run for President....because about five minutes later she will Tweet and Freakbook about how she will never, ever run for President.

People will pea brains can be tricked using the reverse psychology principle every time. So let's do it, people!

Sarah -- we think you'd make the most super duper beautiful young smart sexy frontierswoman gun-toting abstinence advocate special needs mom President EVER!

So please, pretty please, run--- okay?

And don't let that prostitution ring your husband has been running deter you!

I think Palin is an absolute disgrace to all Americans. She was an elected official who quit her job in order to get rich and sit on the sidelines and bitch! Sorry but when you fail as the Governor of your own state and you have to resign before you've completed your first term you don't deserve to criticize the current administration. Regardless of the quality of their work, these people didn't give up just to make a reality show and and cash in on a book deal! They stuck with it, that's what "REAL" Americans do!

This woman is living proof of the Lincoln adage, you can fool some of the people all of the time. She's scraped the bottom of the barrel so far she's hitting dirt! Palinbots are clinging like fish on a hook for this idiot.

As others have said here numerous times, she's doing her utmost to milk the suckers until the pail is full of blood. Amazing!

    2. Did Meg or RAM or whoever the hell is in charge - confirm?

If answer to either question is "no," I predict a no-show.

    ReplyDelete
  12. IF she actually announces her
"candidacy" - hard to type that without choking - it will not be as a GOP candidate. The only way will be as a Tea Party or Independent. But she will NEVER be President of the U.S. no matter what she does.

American ideals are foreign to Sarah Palin because of her background. She's just too ignorant to know it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I dunno... I think Palin's time may have passed for her to even get much of a donation boost with this Iowa appearance.

She's been abandoned by the GOP DC political establishment (too many bridges burned) and I'd bet articles about her no longer generate the page clicks they once did.

The media loves sizzle & controversy, and they've now got that in spades with the other loony Tea Party lady (Michele Bachmann).

Palin is toast, especially after Joe McGinness' book is released. Joe says he's got the book tour booked, so Palin should be making Halloween plans now.

But you're right, this political PT dance is pathetic, and when her followers are finally disillusioned, they'll be resentful as well.

They are newly formed and she just happens to be free. She just wants the publicity to pretend, Should be fun as other candidates like Michelle, Mitt, Ron, Mitty will not make it easy for her, She is counting on the lamestream media to follow her and make her look important.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anonymous4:34 PM

I have to disagree. I always thought that she was running. Her ego is WAAAAAY too big not to. Whatever we think, Republicans are retarded enough to actually nominate her. She's near the top of the Republican polls, and she can afford to sit it out and jump in at the last minute. I do think that she'd be able to raise enough money pretty easily.

I think that she's scared to run, and will run a cowardly campaign (though she will sell it as "unconventional"), but it's hard for her to sit on the sidelines when she there really is an actual opportunity, at least as far as the Republican nomination goes.

I think she'll announce on August 29th. The day she was picked as VP, and her anniversary, if I'm correct. She will mention in the speech that that movie will be on PPV a few days after that. She then heads into Iowa for this speech and starts heavily campaigning there.

I think the only thing that may stop her is if Perry gets in first. That gives her an out. I still don't know if her ego will allow her not to run, though.

Hey, quit while the quitting is easy. Once the next couple of books hit the online and mortar stores, you are not going to have a choice about quitting.

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if investigations into your actions might be instigated by several agencies and individuals, Sarah - think about the money that is going to cost you.

Plus, honey, let's be real. Do you really want to be remembered as a bigger joke than Ross Perot. At least he sort of understood the issues and he really worked to earn his wealth, unlike your nasty little self.

Sarah, call it quits now and maybe, just maybe you can try again before your looks go all to hell. After all, baby, that's all you have going for you. You are as dumb as a stump (no offense to stumps - at least they can be useful.)

She won't have to answer no "gotcha" questions from the likes of Katie Couric. Heck, no! Let's see...at the Teabagger Rally in WI only a few hundred people showed up and they were outnumbered 2-3:1. only 15 people showed up for today's Teabagger Rally in DC. I sure hope the organizers aren't planning to make back the money they're paying $arah to appear with ticket sales.

This is really really horrible--but what I want to see is Sarah having to face a bank of reporters at a real press conference, and start talking, then devolve into mindless word salad, then start gibbering like the numbskull she is. Then she should be interviewed by whatever real journalists are still out there--with relentless follow-up questions, lots of "gotcha journalism"--and be held responsible for her inane, empty-headed blatherings. That will be a great day in America. Does that make me a "hater"? No, it makes me a patriot who wants the best and the brightest for America.

Even if with this TP event in Iowa, it will only be her second trip there unless she visits before then. Iowa caucus voters like to meet with candidates and have them answer questions, something Sarah will never do. Name recognition alone will not win Iowa.

Can I ask a question? I'm curious why no one has addressed this.

Why do you all assume/think Sarah is quaking or worried or whatever due to anticipation of Joe's book? It is HER life. She did live it. She knows herself better than anyone. Don't you think that since she's still inserting herself into public opinion that she maybe ISNT concerned with impending publications? No one in the family is currently acting as if there is something to hide.

It is true that there were blatant lies told to Dunn. that is common sense to anyone who lived in Wasilla in the 70s/80s. Sarah MAY be worried that more people fabricated a bunch of bs out of hatred and jealousy. that's pretty common. The current depiction of her is a false one.

She is definitely tough but she's not inhuman. She's definitely a fighter, but she's not dangerous. She's definitely ambitious but she knows what matters most and it's not career.

Well, she stopped her bus tour and never resumed it. That sounds like quitting to me. She didn't quit the tour like she didn't quit being governor.

Charlie Gruschow, a Republican and founder of the Des Moines Tea Party, who has taken two tables, seating 20, and filled them, estimated the event could attract 2,500 to 3,000 people.
Yep, she is getting paid big bucks."

Anonymous @9:46 PM here: I should amend my statement re Palin front groups operating for the past three years. Although it seems like Sarah Palin has been a scourge upon our nation for, well, forever, she's actually been running loose for only two years.

Also, in regard to the Anonymous comment @9:47 PM (Is that you Sarah? Bristol? Willow? RAM?): The unrelenting references to "the family," which imply that the Palin-Heaths are somehow a sacrosanct entity unto themselves, have become tiresome and finally insulting. Enough already.

9:47 p.m., you answered your own question:

"Why do you all assume/think Sarah is quaking or worried or whatever due to anticipation of Joe's book? It is HER life. She did live it. She knows herself better than anyone."

That's precisely why we think she's quaking in her Naughty Monkeys. She knows* what skeletons she has in her closets; what she might not know, due to the media embargo of Joe's book, is just how many of them he managed to extricate and to what extent. Wondering that could be a nerve-wracking exercise indeed.

You can chalk a few scandals up to liars or jealous people, but all the research I've done--the books and blogs, people I've spoken to, her own appearances and online comments--paints a remarkably consistent picture. And it's an ugly one that hints at far more unpleasantness beneath the surface.

*I do concede (especially given her TARP comments last night) that she may have either forgotten her skeletons or convinced herself they do not exist. If she is mentally ill and/or medicated enough to selectively edit reality that way, then you may be correct in saying that she isn't worried about Joe's book. Given her mostly low affect and overall demeanor last night, it's certainly possible that she is in no condition to care about anything apart from her loathing for Obama.

Hell no, you can't ask a question cause you reek of stupidity. No one gives a flying fuck about $arah Paylin, she is uneducated, an idiot, comes from a trashy family and has a trashy family.

People are not lying about $arah cause they know all about her background and the horrible things she has done and said. She is a traitor to this country and incites hate and racism. $arah is jealous of others and mean spirited and wants revenge for everything.

    $arah Paylin

Crosshairs on elected officials/ Gabby Giffords

    Arizona shootings - many died

    Gabby Giffords almost assassinated

    $arah's blood libel

$arah Paylin should be in prison for helping to incite these shootings. She is dangerous and mentally deranged. She needs to get the fuck out of OUR country; after all she belonged to the AIP.

So Rebecca Mansewer, Ivy Frye, hell no you can't come here asking idiot questions. You are just as much trash as $arah the traitor.

She can declare her presidency, but it won't matter. Too, late for her. Her thunder was stolen by Michelle Bachman (who didn't quit her job as governor, has a degree from a law school, is actually very attractive, and her family isn't a 3 ring circus) . Perry has better credentials and never quit his governorship, and has nice hair, and his family isn't a 3 ring circus. Both appeal to the tea party and christian conservatives. Why in the world would anyone support a woman who QUIT her governorship midterm, apparently is a Christian who is too "busy" to attend church, and whose hair is a fright, and is looking a little haggard? Really, what the heck does Sarah offer that the other two don't?

There are facts of record Palin has consistently lied about. Prudent people check out facts before insane loyalty giving someone their absolute trust and believing anything Palin spews, twitters or broadcasts.

Palin's words are incongruent with her actions also demonstrating she is untrustworthy. In a short time she demonstrated she is a compulsive liar entitled to do what she wants then lie she did not projecting others are the liars.

I don't know if she's concerned about Joe's book, but she's definitely got an over-exaggerated sense of confidence that no one is going to blow the whistle her PAC is a huge scam. Which means eventually it's going to blow up in her face. Every con artist who ever gets caught almost always says, "I got too confident. I got careless."

I agree----Sarah may have been able to bullshit Alaskans into putting her in the Governor's office, but bullshit, a blow-up bra, and lipstick aren't going to equal serious consideration in Iowa.

But hey, Sarah, go ahead and wear the blingy cross crotch decoration belt buckle and too-small farmer-lookin' shirt so the rest of us can have another good laugh! Career is definitely not what Sarah considers most important. She has quit every "career" she has had. Her behavior makes it VERY clear what she thinks is most important: money and image. Everything she has ever done has been about money and image. She's a delusional vindictive harpy who wants big houses, fancy spas, and private jets. And she NEVER lets even the tiniest slight go unanswered. Thick skin my ass.

Anonymous @ 9:47, why did $arah lie about the bus tour and not admit she was being sued for using a phrase that has already been trademarked "One Nation"? She made up b.s. about jury duty and proved it was b.s. when she took off for Iowa & MN. NOBODY has seen her at the courthouse, and since you have to check in daily, what was she going to do, fly back from Iowa within an hour or so of having to report the day she called them? No, just another lie from $arah.

Now what are the alleged lies in Dunn's book and how do you know they are lies? Because $arah said so? That doesn't mean a damn thing as she's been a well-known liar for decades in Wasilla. Frank Bailey backed his book up with emails that are straight from $arah's mouth, she lied about op-eds pretending she wrote them and taking credit for them but was found out when she couldn't answer a single question about what she allegedly wrote. She had her staff rig polls and even purchased software to make this easier for them to do. Her ratings were fixed by her staff. It's all there in black and white.

As for $arah not being afraid of anything, she's scared to death to do an interview. You can't be President and avoid the press. The American people won't stand for it.

  106. I wouldn't be surprised if she announces, tries to run most of her campaign off C4P or Facebook, refuses to do the standard heavy lifting, and quits as soon as she thinks the roobs are satisfied and goes back to PAC grifting. Smart money would be on her using one or more of her kids being attacked somehow (if only in her own mind) as an excuse.

I STILL would like someone to follow the money trail for those "grassroots", supposedly "not Palin staff" people "organizing" for her in Iowa. Wouldn't be surprised if it lead back to the PAC. Or the Koch Bros. Or similar.
