It is not okay to laugh at this. (But we both know that you will.)

Now before any of you Wiccans start getting all worked up for no good reason, let me say that in this context we are talking about mean evil, movie witches. Not nurturing, free spirited practitioners of Wicca.

By the way I dated a Wiccan once and she was delightful.

And she only turned me into a frog once. (Just kidding!)

I have to imagine that if Sarah Palin were a witch she would look much like this.

(You know when she takes off her glasses it really DOES change her looks!)

    hahahahaha.

And per the photo of a green Palin,
"Does this wig make my skin too puce and my motives outwardly bitchy and self immolating"?

It seems to me that the interest and fascination with the half term governor is due to the fact that such a mentally ill, uneducated, incurious, classless, amoral person has become a serious possibility in the minds of many to lead the nation. Without her rise thanks to John McCain she would be as boring and uninteresting as the typical person passed in the supermarket isle.

It is uncanny how much that picture looks like both Palin and Christine O'Donnell.

Wiccans are pretty peaceful people, or the ones I have met. I've never thought it was a cult thing. It's a religion that its practitioners take seriously.

OK Gryph, using my official Internet Ph.D in Logic here...

If you dated her once, and she turned you into a frog once, you must still be a frog!

But seeing as how you're such a cute frog, I guess we'll keep ya around.

Gryphen, your second to last sentence does not make any sense. She is a witch and she does look like that----do you need to get your eyes checked!! Oh, dear, am I being childish????? TFB Right? Thanks for letting us be childish. In the insanity of our world, it helps to check out and vent once in a while to stay sane.

  9. I'm reminded of Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange.

  10. We good witches know you just mean this in fun, Gryphen. But you just offended every evil movie witch with the comparison.

    FYI

The schedule released today at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

'Sarah Palin - You Betcha' is scheduled to play 3 times.

    Sun Sep 11 7 pm
    Mon Sep 12 2:30 pm
    Sun Sep 18 10:45 am

Within the description I did find these interesting references:

"John McCain’s senior strategist tells Broomfield that she’s “deeply dishonest,” describing her aspiration to be President as “spine-chilling."

"One memorable archival clip shows a church ceremony in which she is being exorcised of witches. An Alaskan pastor characterizes her faith as “apocalyptic Christian” and elaborates"

    http://tiff.net/filmsandschedules/tiff/2011/sarahpalin

Not impressed it shows on 9/11 but to be fair to the Festival, they have so many films to schedule in various venues, it's mind-boggling. My attempt to count them scrolling through was 367 films to be screened, many films being played 2 or 3 times. There are 27 screens involved. The Festival is Sep 8 to 18th so 367 films over 12days, 2 or 3 times each -- mind-boggling!!

There is an advantage for the Palin dates -- any of the ones in Toronto or surrounding areas have the advantage of the 3 viewings are all on weekends. Many serious Festival attenders take time off of work to see many films as they start early morning to late night every day. There is even a Midnight Madness - Sleep anyone?? LOL!!

In fact, on checking the tickets, the package deals are sold out. 50 films - $524 - sold out. So are the 10, 20 and 30 films packages. Appears only individual tickets available.

TIFF is a big festival where some Oscar winners have premiered!!

Yahoo - Bill Moyers Returns to Public Television in January, but Not PBS.

"His new hourlong weekly show, called “Moyers & Company,” will focus on one-on-one interviews with people not often heard on television, “thinkers who can help us understand the chaos of this time"

"The program will be based at WNET in New York City and distributed free to public television stations by American Public Television, an alternative distributor to PBS"

From the NYTimes today, Palin's hit back at Karl Rove (link below):

The best window into her thinking, perhaps, can be found in her own words on Aug. 12 when she talked expansively to reporters at the Iowa State Fair.

When asked whether the end of September was still the best timetable for her decision, she said: “Yes, definitely.”

“To be fair to those supporters and potential supporters, who are waiting on figuring out what the set field will be,” she said, “I want to be fair to them and make sure that they don’t feel like they are just hanging on to something that’s not going to happen.”

  16. You are terribly confused, apparently. Sarah Palin is very clearly the adversary of the "Wicked Witch of the West": Glinda.

Very funny, and sad that you have to dance around, explaining that your satire isn't meant to offend wicca. We're getting a bit too "politically correct" for our own good.

Caveat: No frogs were harmed while captioning or photoshopping.
All pixels have been recycled and are from free trade sources.

BTW A wonk eye would help the second photo, along with the veiny neck and blacked out teeth.
