Rick Perry wants to shrink government until it is so small it can fit into a woman's uterus, and boss it around.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Apparently in Rick Perry's America women would be relegated to the only job that God ever intended them have, breeding.

And folks, there is a VERY good chance that THIS is the guy that will be facing off against President Obama in 2012.  Still feel like sitting out this next election?

I found this article in the Dallas Morning News. This is just part of it.

A federal court invalidated most of the state’s new abortion sonogram law Tuesday, deeming it unconstitutional to force doctors to tell patients details that aren’t medically relevant and that they don’t wish to hear.

U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks in Austin issued a temporary restraining order against the state that makes the law virtually unenforceable. He held that the state cannot penalize doctors for failing to follow the statute, which was signed this summer by Gov. Rick Perry and due to take effect Thursday.

  3. This is the first I have allowed myself to hear this man speak for any length at all. I cannot believe how completely phony and stupid he sounds. I'm stunned.
This is so dehumanizing to women and damaging to everyone.

keep in mind also, whenever you hear the rw harping about
    "entitlements!" oh the cost!
..they are talking about women and children, whether they are older or younger women.
    they call them "moochers"...
    "99.6% poor have a refrigerator"...."takers" "parasites"...."moocher class"..."animals".....

this is the rw male attitude towards american women.

I live in Texas and Prick Perry is my governor.

When he ran for re-election in 2010 his Democratic opponent tried to warn the state that Tricky Ricky wasn't being truthful about the real condition of the state's finances. Rick Perry pooh-poohed Bill White's warning, and after Gov. Perry got re-elected, the residents found out that we were in really bad financial shape just like Bill White had said.

Our state budget has been slashed to make up the difference and education has taken a big hit including some teachers being laid off. In some school districts, parents must pay extra money if they want their child to be able to ride the schoolbus.

Not all is lost though. We've got money for important things like paying 25 million a year over the next ten years so the state can have a Formula One racetrack and vaginal ultrasounds for all those uppity women who want abortions.

Like Gryphen said, you stay home in 2012 because you're mad at Obama, and you'll end up with this joker or someone like him as POTUS.

    Choose carefully.

[Reminiscing...I swear---these must be the same folks that I served with on the PTA Board for 4 yrs while my son was in Middle School. How many more times are we going to vote on the same stupid issue, ladies? Let's make a decision and move on. My chicken dinner at home is getting cold, and if we screw around for another hour or so, my dogs will be eating my dinner and I'll be making a PB&J if I want to eat tonight.]

    What a cluster-fuck! lol

It is definitely amateur hour at Tea Party of America in Iowa.

    Just sayin'...

I don't sit out elections, I vote Dem right down the line. After seeing what the teabaggers have done, I don't see how anyone could do otherwise. And Rick Perry is the worst kind of politically religious. Does he do 25,000 person prayer meetings regularly? Or just before announcing his candidacy. Does he try to force vaccinations regularly? Or just when he will profit financially from the vaccine manufacturer. He has all of George Bush's stupidity and all Sarah Palin's evil (and stupidity) with an extra jolt of ruthless extremism.

Prosecute the crooks that stole our home equity and blew a real estate bubble. We now have empty houses and families without homes. What kind of society is it where homes sit empty and families are homeless? Vermont is crumbling, but who cares as long as our boys are are in Afganistan protecting our freedoms. Life might be a goin' to hell in the good ole US of A, but our freedoms are bein' protected. I refuse to vote, this country is represented by its people, the dumbasses. Divide and conquer. The corpratists won. Thank God the Muslims are being kept at bay, Ramen noodles are just fine. Obama killed Osama, Rah, Rah, USA and Cheney's new book.

@ 9:18 those parents should really challenge that! In Indiana, IIRC, it was found unconstitutional to offer a public education, then not provide access via bus to take advantage of that education.

  15. @Rick Perry,

Yeah, don't pretend you don't read this blog.

You are a nut and we don't want you here.

I don't see how you could win against Obama. An intellectual against someone even God, in all His insanity, would declare insane.

Go charm your snakes elsewhere. You could not beat Obama if he spotted you Florida.

Hope you win the primary. Good luck, sir.

    -------
IMHO *every* family in our country--wealthy OR poor--ought to have a refrigerator, and fresh healthy food to put IN it to feed their family.

These people are insane. Since when is a refrigerator a luxury item?

Looks like he is another Republican that isn't what he or she indicates while on the campaign trail.

Good to hear the federal court invalidated the abortion sonagram law. Yea!

I have family in TX and they don't like him down there! Unemployment is high in TX too.

Get out and vote folks - for President Obama!!!

O/T but HUGE. Our Insider Anon 2:38 has sent in yet another message yesterday 8-30, at the end of Gryph's 8-23-11 Nick Broomfield post.

    http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/2011/08/more-about-nick-broomfields-documentary.html

Anon 2:38 is divulging, among many other details about the "Valentine" photo, that Palin's college "diploma" is either nonexistant or forged. Anon said they'd be back on 9-3 with more info, not that 9-3 is particularly 'significant'. (wink)

The Dominionists will just keep pushing this "good ol' boy" on the low-info paint chip eaters who'd just love to have a beer with him--sound familiar? Remember, the US of A will need more little serfs, wage slaves and junior Christian Warriors in the future...

Vote. Please. We don't need another Florida happening with this freak.

  22. Don't worry G, if Perry is the GOP nominee, sane Americans will come out and vote for Obama, and that will include the few sane GOPers left.

It's true that Sarah Palin energized the GOP base in 2008, but what those who crow about that miss, is that she energized the Democratic base in 2008 as well. And after her disastrous interviews with real journalists (Gibson and Couric), she energized the Independents. But the Democrats and Independents weren't energized to vote for McCain, they were energized to vote for Obama.

Perry is of the same ilk of Palin, and will turn off far more voters than he will turn on. Besides, Obama isn't really in campaign mode yet. Sure, he's announced, and has made a few speeches, but mostly he's doing the job he was elected to do. When the GOP nominee is set, the gloves will come off, and Obama is a far better campaigner than Perry, Palin or anyone in the GOP field. He's not a dirty campaigner, like Perry and Palin, but smarter and will be able to handle whatever they dish out.

There is a good chance Perry will crash and burn as past shinning stars Palin, Trump, and Bachmann have.

  25. How can gov require unnecessary medical procedures? That is the issue here.

and they do sonograms anyway as a guide for the doctor, but NOT transvaginal (State Rape) and they don't make you look like you are too stupid to know anything.

10:08 pm. Okay, don't vote. Just because the disaster of years 2000 through 2008 have not been resolved completely by 2011, don't vote and then we'll have Rick Perry or some other Republican as president and the corporations will own the country lock, stock and barrel. Really smart of you - don't vote because you're mad. How stupid is that!

If this is what will be chosen to run against Obama, so be it. He will be handily defeated. The early polls only indicate the leanings of the easily distracted & bamboozled.

The Marlboro Man will not last long with the cognizant set.

Gryphen, I don't usually drop in links, but this blogger, an older Texas woman, is a priceless stylist and on Rick Perry's case like lipstick on a pitbull. In this she takes on the ultrasound nonsense. In fact. She may be the originator of the "crawl up inside my uterus" comment that is getting a lot of use currently. Oh she also called Sarah Palin(TM) a bitch. Does that violate the trademark?

I am sorry, but Bush was a dumbed down version of Bush. Rick Perry is crazy, but probably no simpler than Bush.

Also, lots of voters don't yet know anything about Rick Perry. They don't read news sites or blog, and no one is discussing Perry on Meet the Kardassians or whatever it's called).

Perry has a small change because most voters are dumber than he is.
