Perhaps this would finally convince the conservatives that using pepper spray against non-violent protesters is inhumane.

"Take that you squatters! Vacate the premises and take that glowing baby with you."

Don't worry Christians. Remember, pepper spray is essentially a food product.

I hope those that are shocked by this picture pause just one moment to remember the words from Matthew 25: 40 (the Sermon on the Mount):

‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

Kinda gives a whole new perspective on it, doesn't it?

Hey, those folks are unwashed, scruffy, and undocumented. If they weren't such lazy bums, they'd be rich.

But that picture is displaying the arab Jesus not the southern white abay Jeebus :)

Have a wonderful thanksgiving all. I know I will as we are hosting a few soldiers from a local base, good company always makes the holiday better.

    Good graphic - thought provoking.

Has anyone seen the latest Thanksgiving message by Sarah Palin? It has a photo of the family, including the two boys. It is a small photo, and I could not enlarge it without blurring.

You have to hand it to the likes of Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity--the rightwing lunatic fringe gives them something totally evil, almost DAILY, to have to spin so it doesn't sound so bad.

That is, if they don't simply IGNORE a big story, which you then figure has to be caused by simply not being able to come up with some ridiculous rationalization, like the "pepper spray is only a food product" line that will hopefully be remembered for years.

It just isn't easy being a stooge for the Republican onslaught of one obscenity after another.

Anyone ever cut up a jalapeno pepper and then acidentally rub their eyes ? The burn was intense, wasn't it ?

Well, a jalapeno pepper is measured at about 5,000 heat units on the Scoville scale that measures the degree of hotness in peppers.

Compare that to police grade pepper spray, measured at between 3,000,000 and 5,000,000 Scoville units !

"Food product" my ass ! Maybe Megan Kelly will volunteer to be sprayed with pepper spray to prove it's "no worse than Pam cooking spray" ?

  12. Surprised me yesterday as I was watching the local news here in Springfield, Mo. At least 30 seconds were dedicated to Officer Pike spraying in different scenarios.... I do believe he even sprayed the statue of liberty. I was surprised that the station gave Pikes name.... The times..they are a changing.

I know the demonstrations during the VietNam war went a long way to stopping the war. To be sure the Vets went thru the same crap our modern day Vets are going thru...no jobs, etc.

I am so very proud of all the demonstrators and what they are trying to do...we hear you and we see you.

  13. Thanks for posting this, Jesse. I hope you won't mind my taking credit for its creation, or mentioning how humbled that I am that it made it onto your blog.
Note the rich wise men's expressions. They seem unfazed. That's probably because they are in the one percent.
    Happy holidays, everyone.

Well you see Gryph, at least by 'squatting,' they weren't livin beyond their means and taking homeownership debt on with little chance of maintaining it. That's a trait admired by the GOP.

But their poverty is villified and full-on criminal in the Conservatives eyes. Either way, this family would have been cheered to the gallows by the GOP Presidential debate audiences.
