Yep, you're seeing that right. Rick Santorum did indeed retweet a tweet making fun of the double entendre contained in the Philly.com headline. What a putz!
Considering Santorum's extremely dismissive attitude toward the LGBT community, this is pretty damn funny.
(H/T to Democratic Underground.)
You backtrack one more step past the Democratic Underground and it gets you to Firedoglake, where TBogg comments:
ReplyDeleteI think someone at Philly.com is having a little fun with lil Ricky and he sadly, but unsurprisingly, doesn’t get it.
Also. Santorum. [link]
(Added) Hadn’t noticed that the headline was attached to a Will Bunch story. Well played, Will. Well played. And make sure to read Will’s article on how Santorum believes charity begins at home. His home. [link]
That's what home schooling will do for you. Nothing like the closet.
ReplyDeleteJesus, what an idiot.
ReplyDeleteNext up for Rick, a call from the President of France. Oo-lala
I loved his comments that there were only two things that a person needs to do to prevent poverty: get a high school diploma and get married (WTF?). 4.2 married unemployed couples in America are saying, "WTF?"
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of when Sarah unwittingly RTd the gay-supporting tweet.
ReplyDeleteRick might be brought to his knees, but he's not going to take this lying down.
ReplyDeleteSantorum - come from behind surprise!
ReplyDeleteAnd then there's Mitt who never had to work for a thing in his opulent life saying that Obama intends to make the USA one big welfare nation. Hard to keep up with the morons.
ReplyDeleteI also liked his comment that there is no reason for somebody's wife to be working outside the home. Does this guy even have the faintest clue what it is like to be a regular American?
ReplyDeleteSantorum is so extreme on forcing religion and Catholicism down others throats, that he even is against contraceptives
ReplyDeleteI will bet that if he was absolutely truthful, he'd also admit his position is that all married couples have a DUTY to have at least 4 kids or more, because otherwise it's a sin, they are not being "fruitful".
The Google thing is very funny, I am not sure why he hasn't figured out a way to make that go away. Maybe he doesn't get it.
ReplyDeleteThe most offensive thing I have heard about Rick Santorum and sex is when he insisted that sex is ONLY for procreation and is otherwise not useful. His wife was standing right there looking very humiliated as everyone in the room turned their eyes toward her, trying to guess how many kids she had and if that equated to the number of orgasms she has experienced. What a loser.
Rick lost his Senate campaign in PA because he claimed $$$ from PA Dept of Education for "homeschooling" his children, who were - unfortunately for Rick - living in Virginia at the time!! He is a hypocritical jackass!
ReplyDeleteSantorum is a delusional Nazi, I have met and talked to him - trust me, he has the philosophy of hate and ignorance, as does central PA Senator, John Eichelberger. They both have this "Mein Kampf" philosophy that is sooo frightening.
It frightens me that these guys have reached national prominence.
These guys need to be, not only out of public office, but in jail for their talk.
He didn't need the ex Ak guv's curse, afterall!
ReplyDeleteI think I might just go Google/Yahoo/Bing Santorum again just to keep him high in the polls.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the guy that Sarah Palin came out and supported a few weeks back? Figures!
ReplyDeleteSantorum is such a hatemonger, flame throwing loser I'll be really happy to see him lose badly. He has never apologized for saying that it was the loose liberal morals of the people of Boston that lead to the child molestation by the priests there. That was back before the worldwide extent was known.
ReplyDeleteFor him to suggest that people who tend not to judge the personal, private, sexual lives of adults would also somehow cause or condone child molestation and rape is beyond insulting.

Oh, you're just so snarky today, arent you, Mr. Fancy Pants Alaska Liberal Blogger, with your hippie headband, your fringed leather jacket with the little hippie peace insignia and your tight dungarees. Well, let me clue you in on a little secret that might surprise you: that little douchebag you so quickly mock just because his name coincedentally happens to refer to some distasteful side-effects of the debauched homersexual lifestyle (if youre not sure what Im referring to: GOOGLE SANTORUM NOW!!!!), just so happens to be on a trajectory very likely to unseat that precious Barack HUSSAIN Obama of yours next November!
ReplyDeleteYes, I know Ive been wrong before. I thought Michele Bachmann was on that trajectory but I was wrong. And I thought The Screechy Wretch(tm) was on that trajectory but I was wrong. And I thought Tim Pawlenty was on that trajectory but ha ha ha JUST KIDDING! I never thought he was on that trajectory.... But I thought Rick Perry (not the Rick Perry from 70s rock supergroup Journey) was on that trajectory and I was wrong. And I thought Herb Cain was on that trajectory but I was wrong. And I thought Donald Trump was on that trajectory but I was wrong. And I thought Newt Gingrich was on that trajectory but I was wrong. Hell! I even thought Buddy "Buddy" Roemer was on that trajectory and, yeah, I was wrong. Oy! Was I wrong... But THIS time, I KNOW for a fact that that rat-faced little weasel from Pennsylvania is on that trajectory and THIS TIME I AM RIGHT!!!! (I havent been this confident of anything since I gave away my car and quit my job in May before the Rapture. Still trying to figure out how THAT went wrong...)
So just be prepared, buddy boy, because on January something or other 2013, Rick.... (oh, now I'm too embarrassed to type his name.... I hope I get over THAT before he becomes president!!!!!) is almost certain to be sworn is as the 55th president of the United States of America!! How could I possibly be wrong?
Hey, don't be so hard on Ricky, he's just not himself because he's retaining santorum.
ReplyDeleteQuite possibly the most uptight repressed man in the country. Certainly in the political spectrum. Hard to believe he would actually think couples should have sex only for procreation and then be so naive to think he could float that idea with the public. I anxiously await his small govt idea for enforcing this one. lol
ReplyDeleteThat usual uncomfortable, pinched look on his face shows on the faces of his children too. Must be hell trying to live with a self-anointed pope.
When he was senator of Pennsylvania, he equated homosexuality with people having sex with dogs. He debuted in the Republican Party as their "Pretty Boy". He told and retold, and his wife dutifully wrote about, their son who was stillborn. They dressed him, brought him home, introduced him to and had their children spend the night sleeping with a stillborn baby in the house.
ReplyDeleteI know people greive in different ways, but that just creeped me out big time.
The guys got seven kids, one with a severe genetic condition who could die at any time, and he's out there campaigning on family values.
Shame the "surge" happened so late, the iowan's won't get to know the REAL Santorum, unless they "google" it.
Graduate high school, get married and the American Dream is yours!
Saw this story on tv today and it had me rolling. "RT" is short for "Real Time" aka "booty call" in adult ads.
And Ricky retweeted LOL
Wait-- I'M Catholic and at Engaged Encounter, we were told that sex is a form of marital prayer and should be done regularly!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the guy who did P-Rick's commercials is working for Santorum now and is letting it slide.
ReplyDeleteThese guys need to be, not only out of public office, but in jail for their talk.

Exactly what are you referring to? NO, I'm not supporting either, at all, but their type of misogyny and religious bigotry is the stuff that should be spewed at the corner bar and get them laughed out of even there - that's how out of touch with 98% of American attitudes and beliefs it is.

Hey, narrow minded jerk, people homeschool for many reasons-some of them academic which can mean abetter education through homeschooling. In Santorum's case he was a jerk and would be a jerk no matter where he was educated-which likely would have been an RCC pedophile supplier school.
I like this comment on the Will Bunch thread:
ReplyDelete"Santorum bases his campaign on one issue. Male-female relationships. Since I don't think that particular subject should be subject to government review, I think I wont even bother to think about him anymore. He's a silly candidate for really silly people who wouldn't recognize an issue if they fell over it.

and BTW< Johnnie, Ricky's kiddies (those not zombies, at least, were publicly schooled through 2005 or 2006. Western PA Cyber is a PUBLIC Charter School, which is what the controversy about, because Cheatin' Deadbeat Ricky and his herd lived in VA.
ReplyDeleteAyyyy LOOOsie! You got some splainin to do!

Thank you, Beldar. This should be Santorum's official title, used without fail in front of his name, always, 100% of the time.

Hmm. I'm not sure that an orgasm would be physiologically possible if the "rat-faced little weasel from Pennsylvania"* was involved in, ah, getting there.
{{shudder}}
*Thank you, Beldar.
Okay, I will try to behave now.
