Michelle Obama discusses the "crooner-in-chief" on the Tonight Show last night.

"He does have a beautiful voice, and he sings to me all the time."

I know the ladies are thinking that Michelle is a lucky woman.

'The First Lady dazzled in her high waisted mint green J. Crew skirt, a gold-flecked sweater and a pair of low, pointed-toe heels for her TV appearance'.

She does. She dazzles. They both do. She makes me so very proud and DAMN, to have the most powerful man in the world SING TO YOU, with that amazing voice...and that DAZZLING smile, oh lordy, lordy, lordy.

What I find fascinating about Michelle Obama, besides the obvious, style, beauty, grace, is that she is utterly comfortable in her own skin, in her own being, deeply grounded and unusually at ease with her surroundings.

No matter where she is, who she is interacting with, what she's saying, she instantly commands attention for her genuineness and quiet ways. She doesn't trumpet or exaggerate or posture or strut. She just IS Michelle.

Her authenticity is rare to see in someone who has been elevated to such a powerful position, she has not lost touch with her roots, her core values that it is so apparent came from her upbringing in Chicago. Yep, she's an inspiration for women everywhere, including me!

President Obama is making it hard on many married men. I can hear it now. Some woman right now is looking at her husband and he ask what's wrong?? She says why don't you sing to me?

Date nights. Babies love him. Cool Demeanor. Stays in shape and is the most powerful man on the planet.

LOL.. Married men are catching hell..

President and Mrs Obama have such confidence in each other - both support what the other does every which way what way.

True family values on open display to the world.

  12. Go ahead Michelle...with ya' bad self!! She is so cool! And she has come a LONG way from when she first showed up with President Obama on Oprah!

Anybody remember how jacked up her hair was? I noticed and so did a lot of African American women...including Oprah!

Oprah hooked that sista' up with her OWN(pun intended) hairstylist...Andre..I think is his name and her hair has been whipped ever since!

*hard stare and big hint to Baldy who is reading these comments about Michelle and grinding her vampire teeth down to nubs*

And to think that the man can SING too! Stevie Wonder, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye....all of my favorites!

Can anybody imagine what the Toad's singing voice might sound like? Probably like Peter Brady trying to sing "Time to Change"!

    LOL!!!

    a. Our FLOTUS is stunning and graceful.

    b. Our FLOTUS is gracious.

    c. Our POTUS DOES have a nice voice. At the risk of divulging too much information about myself, I compose and produce music for tv and film. I've placed music in over 700 different tv shows and 4 feature films. I've worked with a LOT of vocalists and President Obama CAN sing.

    romney? no.

Michelle Obama is a class act. She radiates modesty, grace and charm. She's a good soul that most Americans instinctively would want to open their home to.

As opposed to a certain someone who makes most Americans want to reflexively lock their medicine cabinets and hide their valuables.

  17. Beautiful First Lady Michelle and the illiterate harpy Sarah Palin were born less than a month apart, but Granny Palin looks SO MANY years older! Must be all the venom she spews. That hate'll get ya! Just ask Sarah's bigoted, fugly BFF, Jan Brewer.

I LOVE our First Family. What a contrast they are to the rude, racist hillbilly grifters at dead Lake Lucille.

Remember, remember, the sixth of November! Landslide!!

Michelle Obama has truly set a new bar for a First Lady. And that bar is HIGH!

Her youthful beauty, her fierce commitment to what she does and who she is are so inspiring.

I imagine her one day running for President...but then I think, why the hell would she want to go through all that, one in the family is enough.

I do believe when she leaves the White House in 2017, that she will continue to honor us and maintain her involvement with the military and children everywhere.

Our beautiful First Lady Michelle is lucky but she's also very deserving. I love both of them and their two daughters. The entire family is relaxed, comfortable with each other and in whatever setting they find themselves in.

I'm so proud that I voted for President Obama and that he is our president. The man can sing!
Watching either of them just makes me happy.

meanwhile, on OTHER talk shows...Bill O'Reilly actually plugs Game Change movie with Sarah on his show. HILARIOUS! You could tell that she didn't appreciate it. Oh so entertaining. Made watching 10 minutes of BOR worth it.

  24. YAWN city with Baldy on Bill O'Really!

The professionals did her hair and makeup...she did have on too much lip gloss and the herpes is flaring up on the lip!

Looks like she went into the stolen RNC garbage bags and pulled out the jacket she had on.

O'Really didn't let her babble too much of her tired ass talking points...the most interesting thing is how she's being "marketed" on FAKE News now...she's the "go-to" person for NEGATIVITY! HeHe!

Oh...and throughout the extremely short segment...Baldy constantly licked her lips and grinned like some kind of maniac! Totally drugged out!

O'Really also brought up Game Change and there was this strange cut away of the tape! I think whatever her first answer was...FAKE News cut it...I say this because the answer she ended up giving didn't really match his question!

It was really strange...hopefully I've explained it right...but when you watch the tape maybe others will notice what I'm talking about!

President and Mrs. Obama have both ushered dignity and honor back to the nation and the people's house . . . despite the vicious attacks from the noisy minority.

Thanking you all again for Nov. 4, 2008 ~ however, our work in not yet through.

  29. I usually skim TheObamaDiary to see what good scoops/pics/videos it has, and today it's all Michelle-all-the-time, covering FLOTUS' trip to Los Angeles.

However, if Angelenos rely on LAtimes.com, they're SOL. Nothing on the home page, and no links on a Google search.

It's really annoying that the LAtimes doesn't consider FLOTUS' visit here newsworthy. The national news is covering her visit to an urban neighborhood that is opening a new supermarket (which are few and far between in "at risk" neighborhoods), but nothing from the LAtimes. I hope they're ashamed of themselves.

GinaM, Oh my gosh you are so right about the break in the BOR/Sarah interview. He brings up "Game Change" and her face falls for a moment, she starts breathing heavy and was visibly shaken but trying to stay composed. Then suddenly there is a definite weird disconnected camera BREAK before she speaks. I would bet she got angry and they had to stop the tape so she could regroup. Excellent catch and so much fun to watch!

Gryphen, I was too late in the game to comment early on in your last post about Palin's scarf in her consistently bizarre interviews from the safe confines of a Fox News environment.

The scarf is a musk-ox yarn material called qiviut. It is crocheted by Eskimo's from North of TODD's region.

While I don't appreciate any half-assed gesture she makes toward Natives that gift her really good stuff. . .I would ask that you not call it shit colored. It's really a lovely and expensive scarf, warmer than wool and part of the only economic engine for rural Alaska.

    Quyana, thanks.

What's more impressive about the First Lady is her mothering and parenting skills.

Unlike Sarah Palin, the Obama kids comes first in that family. They are well mannered and educated.

Those Palin kids on the other hand are a parents worst nightmare. Not only a parent's nightmare, those Palin kids are a nightmare to pastors and other parents as well.
