Will the women of America finally say "Enough is enough" if things get to this level?

Because do you know what? Things are almost this creepy right now!

You're damn right they are - they are going to force all of us liberal, normal women who enjoy sex as a natural part of life, young or old back into the days when we were told sex was dirty and shameful - and the only way to enjoy it is to do it on the downlow, hidden, as if we are committing a horrid, shameful crime. Kind of like all the priests sexually abusing little boys, or the Ted Haggards with their rent-boys, and Todd's sex with hookers - on the downlow, they can only enjoy abnormal, criminal sexual activity instead of normal, grown up sex between equals - it appears that's the only kind of sex allowable in Santorum's GOP/Teabaggin'/Fundie world - shameful sexual behavior. Back to punishing children for masturbation, sex for procreation only, soliciting prostitutes, etc. repressing a normal human behavior until we are all ashamed of ourselves - until it again becomes EVIL! My mother, 85 years old, Japanese - to this day considers sex to be a man's "disease", and that it is only to be engaged in for procreation, and the good wife gives her husband allowance money to go "buy" sex instead of having to do it with her husband! I can still remember when she gave me her version of the facts of life, the role of a wife - I was 13 - and shocked! My dad never solicited sex from prostitutes, he was too damned poor and he didn't believe in it, he loved my mother. Instead he suffered - they had 7 children - and I believe that that is pretty much very near how many times they had sex! My parents lived a sad, sick, ANGRY life - but my dad never strayed - he always kept the oaths he swore to!

I love your honesty. Same in my family. My MIL was a pregnant teen, but today she has ZERO empathy for other pregnant teens.

It worked out for them, so now they are free to judge others.

My dad was a major hypocrite. He condemned pre-marital sex, couples living together before marriage etc. But it was all right for him to knock up his girlfriend (his first wife and my half brother's mother) when they were eighteen. Course they end up divorcing.

Worst thing I ever heard: my drink sister calls me one night to tell me she found aTAPE of our father telling a HOOKER "the money is on the table".

My parents have been married for thirty years, three grown kids.

Both raised Catholic. My mom is a serious right winger. She travels to a special church that has the priest speak in Latin.

She prides herself on the fact that she and my father never had pre ~ marital sex.

To this day I don't think she has afucking clue.

I've never understood the hatred towards women and the desire to control their bodies. I'm totally convinced now that these men envy the fact that a woman's body can do things that theirs can't and never will. They NEED us to survive and they can't stand it.

    1. What if the law said men had to undergo a prostate exam before they could get a prescription for Viagra?

Oh, wait... they would NEVER allow that to happen.

The guy in panel #4 looks like Sgt. Joe Friday. Just the facts, ma'am. Random, I know.

  4. I can't believe the figures on how many women voted for Santorum - based on exit polls in Michigan. I wonder how many were with their overbearing husbands and said they voted for "the man who would keep women pregnant and uneducated" when in fact they did not ??

Any women who do support him are obviously ashamed to be women.

Virginia will soon pass a law that all women that get abortions will have to get a scarlet letter "A" tattooed on their forehead.

Women need to remember that birth control pills can be purchased outside of the U.S. and brought back into the country. They'll probably try to stop that too! I'm a senior now, but use to get that way years ago. They were much cheaper too than on the American market.

To have sex: perchance to orgasm: aye, there's the rub.

In the old days, the Republican ego had control of the party’s id. The id, sometimes described as a galloping horse or crying baby, “the dark, inaccessible part of our personality ... chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations,” as Freud called it, was whipped up obliquely by candidates. Nixon had his Southern strategy of using race as a wedge, Bush Senior and Lee Atwater used the Willie Horton attack, and W. and Karl Rove conjured the gay marriage bogyman.

Once elected, those presidents curbed the id with the ego, common sense and reason. But now the G.O.P.’s id is unbridled. The horse has thrown the rider; the dark forces are bubbling. Moderates, women, gays, Hispanics and blacks — even the president — are being hunted in this most dangerous game.

  9. I am still appalled that the American Taliban is trying to send women back over fifty years. What's next? Female circumcision?

It's like all the rights we fought for are being stripped away in a wave of a tea bag, led by a Google joke.

It's time to fight back against this insanity. Go to Facebook & find the United Against the War on Women group to find out about the day of protest planned for April 28 in DC as well as cities in all states. Will post the link later when I'm at a computer.

One of the latest and most blatant outrages along the lines of misogyny has Rush Blimpbaugh calling Ms. Fluke, the young woman originally denied a place on the House's contraceptive panel, a "slut."
Unfortunately, he is not an aberration from the kinds of attitudes shown by many folks on the right, women as well as men. It's utterly disgusting, and yet another way in with the GOP in all its madness is alienating one group of constituents after another.
