Obama 2012! People have to vote.

Ot- but check out Breitbart(dot)com.Sarah has an article up and she is going to "vet" Pres Obama and compares their records. Totally unhinged. She is an absolute fool but I figured she'd try to take Andrew's place. Maybe she'll get sued, too.

I totally agree. She thinks she is the next Breitbart. And, she could very well be. I hope she goes for it too! What fun to watch!

She's preaching to a tiny choir at this point.

President Obama is making news every day, on national tv and around the globe. His ideas and his spirit are inspirational.

Breitbart was unprincipled, even evil, but he was smart. Sarah is unprincipled, evil, and totally out of her league. Her attempt to assume his mantle will last less than a month.

Yep she's lost her damn mind. I would love to see her have a public meltdown and be taken away to a mental institute wearing a straight jacket.

I don't think Breitbart was that smart. He had bad grades at Tulane. He was cynical as hell, and made money accordingly. Never forget who his partner was at Huffington Post: Arianna.

I hope she does follow in his footsteps. Everyone of them. I literally hope she follows him all the way to where he is now.

She doesn't want to spend any money - that stops most of her activities. The fans aren't so much the wealthy ones.

Awesome! So proud of my vote for this great American in 08 and my vote again this year. Even though I live in Alabama, where it won't count cause...you know. Maybe one day soon we can change the south. Charlatans like Palin (thanks Ann Coulter) are actually helping! Republicans I know think she is an idiot.

I feel as you do. I am in TX and vote, though it hasn't counted much. But, I will keep voting knowing that surely things will change-if not in 2012, then 2016. I will say that I think TX will be much closer in 2012 than people think.

Thanks to you Gryphen for posting this video. Love IM!

I had an argument with some short-sighted, hotheaded democrat (are there any other kinds of them these day?) and this was the agreement.

Was President Hoover to blame for the crash and depression?

No, the depression happend to take place during Hoover's administration, so people like to lay blame on him. The downturn started much before he took office, and of course the Dems at that time used that as an excuse.
Remember, the world economy at that time was in terrible shape, and no one can blame Hoover for all of the worlds ills, nor anyone else. And the way the economy is going today, it seems like we are on the edge of another one, soon.
Now I know some here are going to argue the economy is good, and point to the stock market, where the dow is doing well. Don't be fooled, the stock market is only an indicator of the money the already wealthy is making, as the fast disappearing middle class has no money in which to invest, so to us it means nothing. The housing and job market are the only true indicators of the health of our economy, which stinks.

There's many things democrats refuse to acknowledge for which they are at fault. I am not saying republicans are gifts from God or whatever, because they also have their faults. It's just telling to me personally that you seem to find more independently successful republicans who've held important jobs outside public service than their counterparts. But that's stereotyping. People ignorantly seem to think that having no professional accomplishment and a kind heart (seemingly) is all they need.

If Game Change, despite its inaccuracies and bias, tells us one thing, it's that in 2008, we the people let BOTH parties get away with using celebrityto win an election.

    5. With regards to the crash of the stock market and the economic factors leading up to the Great Depression--you seem to have your political parties mixed up. So is your history. The Republicans were in charge throughout the 20's, when "the business of America was business", with no government regulaion. FDR, the Democrat didn't take office until 1932

What President Hoover was guilty of was not helping out the American people, many of whom were in increasingly desperate straits as the years passed. He was president from 1928 to 1932; the crash happened in 1929. So, he and the Republican majority in Congress were responsible for the Great Depression.

This clip just scratches the surface of what Our President managed to accomplish for the country.

What did McCain and Palin accomplish since 2008 for the country?

Awesome, just simply awesome! This is exactly what I, as a Canadian and watching Obama back in the election of 2008 that we could expect from him. He didn't change his message and he accomplished so much since then given the horrendous situation he walked into, and he pushed forward not losing the sight of what he was doing . As Canadians who have health care and human rights protection, Obama is the best thing ever for America. He has hit home to North America with health care, education, auto industry and turned things around. Created so many jobs. I'm so happy for Americans that you have this wonderful person in your corner. You so needed this after all of what the Bush years did to everyone. Congratulations and I know that the intelligent people of america will allow this man 4 more years.

Thanks Grygh for posting this, and all that you do so that I am able to read daily from your blog. I really wanted to see it and thought that I'd have to pay for it, so I will be sending you some love. Thanks again.

    OT BUT IMPORTANT:
    Re: Transvaginal legislation

WHY AREN'T DOCTORS SPEAKING UP ABOUT THIS! ! !

Part of the medical communities oath is "Do NO harm."

A doctor does his patient harm with a transvaginal procedure by 1) costing HER money for the unnecessary procedure 2) costs her harm by doing a NON-necessary procedure and 3) causes the patient harm by the humilation of having to undergo such NOT medically necessary procedure.

Is the doctor's loyalty to his patient as his oath requires, or is the doctor going to cave into legislation that makes him violate his oath.

Attorney's are legally sanctioned if they violate their OATH of confidentiality to a client.

WHY ARE NOT DOCTORS SPEAKING OUT AGAINST LEGISLATION THAT WILL FORCE THEM TO EITHER REMAIN LOYAL TO THE OATH THEY TOOK TOWARDS THEIR PATIENTS OR TO BREAK THE LAW IN ORDER TO KEEP THEIR OATH TO THEIR PATIENTS.

Think about this for a minute in a personal and specific way, both as the patient and as the doctor. Really---how is that doctor going to choose and how much humilation is a doctor going to feel by doing something that goes against his own conscience?

THIS IS NO SMALL ISSUE !

SURELY I CANNOT BE THE FIRST TO THINK OF THIS PART OF THE ISSUE !

Also: just exactly what whould happen to a doctor who did ignore this legislation. And, how would anyone know except the patient and the doctor unless somehow "spies" are sent in as patients to entrap a doctor who was thought to be keeping his oath in favor of keeping the law?

    THIS POINT NEED PUBLICITY !

    1. You are not the only one. I have been wondering also why the doctors are silent.

They are being told that they have to:
      a) perform a medically unnecessary procedure
      b) before performing a legal procedure
      c) even if the patient refuses to consent.

How can this possibly be in accordance with medical ethics?

      Delete
    2. Anita Winecooler1:39 PM

Excellent point! I've undergone the procedure after miscarriage, and even with a caring, attentive and supportive doctor and staff, the pain and humiliation are something you don't forget. It was medically necessary.

I can't imagine having it done without a valid medical reason.

The silence from the medical community speaks volumes, possibly because the majority are males, they stand to make a profit, or a combination of both?

Remember how the AMA stayed absolutely silent during the health care debate, especially when the Republicans were trumpeting their "death panel" lies. I was furious because the AMA and the American Hospital Assoc. have been urging people to do final directives and living wills for decades now. When you go to our local hospital as a patient, the first thing they ask for are your final directives; if it's not on file (ours are) then they give you the forms to fill out. The vast majority of doctors are not particularly brave.

  12. We're so fortunate as a nation that this man entered politics and was willing to take on the most difficult and thankless job in the world.

Scarily ignorant attitudes still prevail in many places, as shown in opinion polls of voters in Alabama and Mississippi. A majority of these citizens think President Obama is a Muslim, a radical, and so on. The ugliest GOP rhetoric has taken hold, no matter how baseless.

So yes, post the video everywhere, donate what you can, and be assertive and persistent in your support of President Obama.

I'm always amazed to see someone tragically misinformed, try so hard to sound thoughtful and deep, when trying to defend the batshit crazy "platform" of the perverted version of the Republican Party.

That platform is essentially nothing more than pushing for even LOWER taxes on the rich, (from the obscenely low level they stand currently) and to find every way possible to suppress and harass women.

Yet, blogs like this constantly see postings from pathetic believers that the "conservative" way, will "bring back" some strange concept of an America when things were just swell.

BILLIONS in less revenue, offset by MILLIONS in cuts to social programs, will yield a CRIPPLING outcome, and the economy will go back to driving itself off a cliff, if Republicans get their way.

Banning abortions does NOTHING to create jobs.

Maybe Americans NEED another dose of complete insanity, to finally wake up and think, "What the Hell are we DOING to ourselves???"

OR: just maybe there has been enough evidence of sabotage, and utter stupidity by the Republicans elected in 2010, that the majority of citizens will vote in enough Democrats to allow President Obama's efforts to continue.

I loved this video and I simply adore this man and his family...how proud to be an American after the world witnessing 8 years of horrible politics, we are back to the shining light. I had a dream about chatting with Hillary switching places with Biden, my god what a platform. If we could just get someone else in treasury...and a tuff attorney general. Obama is gonna kick ass this next term if this asleep country gets rid of the assholes in congress and the senate...not to mention these horrible governors and go after the criminals on wall street. I am more terrified of these crazy republican gun lovers than Iran...if you get my drift.

I loved this video, and Biden's speech. They are laying the framework of a well-oiled machine working toward re election.
It gives insight into how insular the environment in the White House can be, and how President Obama breaks through and connects to people in a meaningful way.

Obama by a landslide, the best is yet to be.
