This from Limbaugh's website:
For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.
Fuck Rush! For THREE days this son-of-a-bitch vilified this woman, called her a slut, suggested that her parents be disgusted with her sexual "behavior," and demonstrated the kind of pathological misogyny that was truly disgusting to behold.
No, Rush Limbaugh does NOT get a pass on this one. Obviously this sorry excuse for an "apology" is just a desperate attempt to salvage his career, and I personally I hope that instead it ends his career.
F-you, Limbaugh. Please do the world a favor and join Andrew Breitbart in Hell.
ReplyDeleteI often confuse(d) the two ... both being loudmouth blowholes and all. On hearing that Breitbart had dropped over dead, I immediately thought it was Rush. Trusting that he's "next".
DeleteI am a Christian: I am not supposed to wish anyone to die, but MadCityKaren, I like your comment. That's all I am saying.
DeleteThe apology is bullshit. A very, very lame, too little too late, attempt at damage control.
ReplyDeleteHe called her a prostitute on the public airwaves.
I hope she sues his fat ass for defamation.
And it wasn't a 1 time thing either...he spewed his venom for 3 DAYS!!!
DeleteThe only reason the fat asshole stopped was because he got told too by Clear Channel.I hope the son of a bitch gets fired and gets sued.Piece of shit that he is.
DeleteIt was NOT an apology IMO. It was simply rephrasing of what he first said. Not accepted. He is going down for the count. Keep up the boycotts. It also took awhile to get rid of Beck. Hurt him in the wallet, it always works. Wonder how Billo will spin this as he said yesterday that he was on Rush's side.
ReplyDeletePerhaps we should boycott Billo's sponsors also, too. It worked on Beck. If anyone else joins in, they get it next! Sounds like justice to me!
DeleteAgreed. I've heard more sincerity from a five year old avoiding time out.
DeleteHe completely missed the point. Not surprising.
ReplyDeleteIt is NOT government's business what goes on in teh bedroom..and HE wanted it on video so he could watch. This is not going away Rush. We are not satisfied, you are not sorry, and I hope you lose your cushy job over this. You meant every word.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the boycotts-- he made a personal attack and he didn't even understand the story.
ReplyDeleteDickhead.
Bullshit. Calling someone a slut is personal any time it is said and he knows that. This was certainly was not an apology.
ReplyDeleteThe point he is missing is that this ISN'T about women's sex....it's about women's health!
ReplyDeleteNot an apology, other than for his "poor choice of words". And that wouldn't have been forthcoming if not for the fact that he's hemorrhaging sponsors at the moment. He's a pile of crap.
ReplyDeleteThat seems to be the effing Republican way... spewing the nastiest, most rotten, most hateful shit they can formulate out in the public airways and the internet ...getting it off their chests...oh, and then, they say I'm sorry. What crap! Like that is going to make it go away. Well, I'm sorry, but I think America is catching on to this fakery.
ReplyDeleteTHIS. TOTALLY. I am so tired of it.
DeleteSome people, well, really ALL people need to understand the import of their words.
He does know this and doesn't give a shit because it's all about the $$$$$$$ and that's why he said what he said, thinking there'd be no consequences since he's "Rush" after all.
I'm all for showing him the consequences of his actions and hit him where it matters. He has done so much harm to our country with his incendiary words alone. To see him put out of business would be a huge, huge blessing.
surprising. so he is finally worried about his job. i still want to know what his wife and the ex- wives think of all this. i'm still mad at lisa m.
ReplyDeleteI find it unbelievable that any woman would associate with let alone marry this man.
DeleteConsidering his smoking habit, weight, age, history of heart disease, I'm surprised God hasn't called him to share a room with Breitbart yet.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't happen too soon.
And yeah, I agree there was no apology and nothing sincere about it, except the urgency to stop hemorrhaging advertisers and control the spin. Now he can say he's a victim of liberal attacks because he "apologized".
And Clear Channel's Mormon executives can wash their hands of culpability because he "apologized" and besides, he's just saying what they're thinking anyway.
They all make me gag. I usually don't wish ill of anyone, but I think Rush has outstayed his welcome in this dimension.
I don't think God wants to speak to him at all.
DeleteDaily Kos has a petition up that will be sent to sponsors of the Limbaugh show. I emailed Clear
DeleteChannel.
Me too.
DeleteI mean this with all my heart....when that fat fucker dies, I will throw a party that puts Mardi Gras to shame..
DeleteAnd I'm not 1 damn bit ashamed to admit that..
Squirm, Rush, squirm, you draft dodging, college dropout, thin-skinned girly man.
ReplyDeleteOn Brietbart: Out of respect for the deceased, I refuse to comment on the fat fuck until he is buried.
Girly man?
DeleteIt's not an apology when you only do it to stop more advertisers dropping from your show.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Granny Palin on all this? ....crickets. There's some real sexism/misogyny and she has nothing to say because her beloved Rush said it. If Bill Maher had called a conservative a slut we wouldn't be able to shut her up. Obviously Greta was instructed not to ask her about it. I guess Rush gets a pass on everything he says. He's the one person in the world who can say retard and not get her panties in a bunch.
Hey Granny - Bristol uses birth control. Is she a slut too? Should she put sex videos of herself on the internet for all to see? Should her parents be ashamed? Does she get free birth control through her Native Medical Insurance?
Yeah Sarah, we want to see some Bristol videos (well, not really) but Rush (your bff) said we should so, where are they?
DeleteHe was hemmorraging advertisers, of course he comes up with some convoluted, half ass apology after he dragged that poor woman through the mud, suggesting vile and disrespectful scenarios. I don't buy this 'sorry' crap for a minute. He's not sorry, he's scared that he's losing advertisers. Period.
ReplyDeleteWell Rushie, your apology is accepted with the same sincerity as it was given by you. In other words: your apology is Horsefeathers!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, it really is too bad that YOUR Mother did not keep an aspirin between her knees.
Oh my God, so true. If I had known and had been there, I would have bought her a bottle of aspirin!
Delete"I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke."
ReplyDeleteRush, my boy, you can have your lawyers try to spin "slut," and "prostitute," and how you'd be "embarrassed to be her parents." The day after you were called on on your first remarks, you made ones that were even worse. It's pathetic that you don't know how birth control pills work; you alleged that men were lined up to have sex with Ms. Fluke.
You said these words, and you meant them at the time. You meant to insult and ridicule Ms. Fluke as much as your small brain could come up with ample epithets.
So, "apologize" all you want to now, but you set yourself up for a personal defamation suit, and I hope Ms. Fluke wins big. We will continue to punish your advertisers with our boycotts until you go the ignominious way of your fellow nutcase, Glenn Beck.
Pretty soon, you may not be able to afford as much of your own addictive drugs, or another humidor full of your fantastically phallic-substitute cigars. Puff puff.
Do us all a favor, Ms Fluke, and sue him -- for us, too. Huge punitive damages, to go to Planned Parenthood. Or to you. Just so long as it's a huge settlement.
DeleteHe's worth $400,000,000. Sue to your hearts content and then sue some more for the rest of us!
DeleteWell I think this may be the reason why Limpballs was made to issue an "apology"...
DeleteSandra Fluke said Friday that she is entertaining the possibility of a suit against the conservative talk show host.
“I’ve certainly been told I might have a case, but it’s not something I’ve made any decisions about at this point,” the 30-year-old Georgetown University law student told The Daily Beast.
Here's the link...
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/03/02/birth-control-advocate-sandra-fluke-isn-t-scared-of-rush-limbaugh.html
Man, this reply is so addictive - but who cares!
DeleteThe possibility of a lawsuit is EXQUISITE! This will serve as just desserts fhat he has needed for the last . . . . well, since he started speaking. The wonderful things - he slander was done on the public airwaves (she should consider expanding the suit -to the company who gives him the show) - and all of his statements are on the record. That company, after the first time he called Ms. Fluke a "slut", allowed him to continue, on and on. They need to be held accountable for the filth and obscenity that Rush has been allowed to put on the public airwaves! Think of how the majority of people reacted when that asshole Breitbart died, but Rush has him beat a thousand times over, in terms of how hated he is - I think there's going to be a ticker tape parade on the day he dies, maybe even a national holiday celebrating the fact a public menace has finally departed for his long deserved trip to hell!
Fuck him...I wrote to our local Clear Channel owned top 40 station to let them know I am boycotting them and their sponsors until Rush gets pulled off the air.
ReplyDeleteFuck him… he doesn’t mean it… sorry for the language.
ReplyDeleteHe just fears the end of his career and a law suit.
UPDATE
ReplyDeleteA Statement from David Friend, CEO of Carbonite as of 6:45pm ET, March 3:
“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.”

Suddenly the people (people are people too) - women in particular - realize they can fight back against the lies used by right wing politicians and media personalities. This is a wonderful result.
DeleteBut yet many of these woman will STILL vote for republicans.
DeleteKeep on BOYCOTTing!!!!!!
DeleteIt's what all the cool kids are doing this Spring.
"women are people too my friend"... oh and poor are people, middle class people are people, latino people are people, black people are people, gay people are people,
Wow, how is there one repug elected to anything in this country!
O/T but Simple Sarah thinks Allen West should be considered for the VP slot...yeah, THAT Allen West! That loud mouthed, nasty piece of work, demogogue guy. Makes sense, takes one to know one. Get ready for the Palin curse Mr. West, it couldn't happen to more of a prick.

He's just worried about his job. What a phony asshole. I hope the rest of his advertisers walk out on him too. Couldn't happen to a more deserving...I can't come up with a harsh enough word.
ReplyDeleteCarbonite isn't buying it either. They won't reverse their decision to withdraw their adverts from his program.
ReplyDeleteThe president of Carbonite has five daughters and is a liberal. I'm pretty sure he never liked Rush.
DeleteHe's just worried about his job. I hope the remaining advertisers bail on him too. Couldn't happen to a more deserving filth monger. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, and it would be a mercy to all of us if he would go away. He can take the Beck or the Breitbart train for all I care.
ReplyDeleteHe only apologized because he was losing advertising $$$. Hey Blowhard, who is the prostitute now? Too little too late there Rush, you are still a horrible person.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect from that fat ass JUNKIE! He and that skank bitch from Alaska probably have the same Oxy drug dealer.
ReplyDeleteLets not kid each other. Limbaugh is an asshole. The only thing he is sorry for is that he has lost some sponsors.
ReplyDeleteHis apology is about as genuine as the idiot judge that forwarded the racist e-mail about President Obama.
Just called PRO FLOWERS to tell them that I will never use their service again. I was given a recording but I left a message. Everyone should do the same. Let's get Rush off the air!
ReplyDeletePro Flowers has already pulled their advertising and made a statement. They were one of the first ones to do so.
DeleteLink?
DeleteWrong. They still have Limbaugh promo codes: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/03/03/1070776/-ProFlowers-Still-Offering-Rush-Limbaugh-Promo-Codes
DeleteWhy is this oxycontin-gobbling porker always sucking lasciviously on a phallic symbol, flaunting his personal sexual recreational activities?
ReplyDeleteAt least he should use a condom.
To make it clearer and save him time, he could have just said:
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry BUT I'm not.
That what that piece of crap really said. I hope Ms. Fluke sues the balls off him. He needs the Don Imus treatment.
Carbonite has posted on their FB page they have pulled ads! I think it's up to 7 sponsors pulling ads. Let's keep plugging away. The advantage of social media -- Facebook, Twitter!!!
So Limbaugh basically said, in his "apology", "I meant every word I said, but NOTHING PERSONAL."
ReplyDeleteI called Sleep Comfort and told them my husband and I WOULD NOT be spending 7 grand on a Sleep Comfort bed in Anchorage. I also called the makers of Citrical to tell them I would not be purchasing their product as long as they support Limbaugh.
ReplyDeleteAs a woman, I do not accept this apology.
Hopefully money talks.
Thank you Gryphen for the links to be able to flex my financial muscles.
Sleep Comfort and Citrical have both pulled their ads.
DeleteI agree with your entire post. There's no "apology" there, he's just banging the drum louder. He's a bully and a coward, posting this bullshit on a weekend, thinking it'll make it go away.
ReplyDeleteMiss Fluke deserves better, our sons and daughters deserve better.
Keep the boycott going, keep the emails and phone calls up and keep the petitions alive.
Rush: Excellent example of a failed attempt at dosing yourself with a verbal morning after contraceptive intended to avoid taking responsibility for the consequences of your fucking mouth spewing fucked up thoughts from your fucking drug addled brain cells. So....you've got that going for you.
ReplyDeleteTrue, he rephrased what he said. He has no idea the numbers of women and/or their daughters, friends, coworkers who had medical conditions, suffered chronic pain which pills were prescribed for.
ReplyDeleteIn a piece by Andrew Sullivan it was said the GOP needs Rush to get to his audience. That speaks volumes of the GOP and the audiemce they cater to. They might as well hire a convict, pimp/strip club owner/sleezy used car salesman and former drug addict.
Sounds like a job for Tony Soprano!
DeleteRush Limbaugh proves time and time again that a douche bag can leak.
ReplyDeleteOh, right, it's the "it was satire" defense. The problem is that it is well known that right wing brain orientation does not compute "satire".
ReplyDeleteWhat's fascinating to me is that Rush seems to be taking the position that sex without procreation is simply a "social activity" and not something as important as family planning.
I guess he thinks everyone should just fill the world with babies and all those burdoned parents can just, I dunno, pimp their kids out on reality shows or something to make ends meet.
And actually Rush, making insurance companies buy shoes for people who want to jog is far cheaper than, say, your hospital visit for "chest pains", so I suspect that insurance companies might actually like that idea.
The sponsors aren't buying it either!
ReplyDeleteI mean really....try going up to anyone and give them a good hard slap in the face....do this for 3 days in a row....now tell them you never "meant it".
Rush is more pathetic than ever.

We, the Women of America, are sincerely sorry we cannot accept your whining, claiming-to-be-the-victim non-apology.

Hell no! I'm still calling and writing! Proflowers, proplants, Shari's Berries, redenvelope are going to here from me again if they don't drop him. I've not even started on the others. And I'm doing my best to get everyone I know involved.
ReplyDeleteI believe the owner of all of those companies is a huge maggot, similar to the Koch Brothers. He loves every word Limbaugh mumbles so he may not care what we think.
DeleteToddler-level apology from a self-centered infant.
ReplyDeleteRush has no idea that he's displaying the limitations of his mind. He is not capable of realizing that he is an object of ridicule.
And now,... it's open season on Rush's own sex life.
I'm waiting to see how long before Palin or someone equally moronic comes out with the "infringing on his first amendment rights" argument.
ReplyDeleteIt gives me immense pleasure to imagine how painful it must be for Rush to find himself associated with the word "apologize". He's probably drunk himself into a blind rage by now. Maybe he'll top it all off with some oxy's. The majority of comments at HuffPo, Politico and Mediaite are against his lame apology. You really went too far this time, Rush. As we've said with Quitty, give them enough rope and they'll hang themselves. Paying attention, Quitty?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments. I must say that there is a big difference between "I apologize" and "I'm sorry". They all say the standard Republican apology. "If my words offended anyone, I sincerely apologize".
DeleteYou will never hear a Republican say they are sorry.
"sorry" means you will never do it again.
But, you know they will.

Last night Rachel Maddow demonstrated that Limbaugh prob does not know how the pill works.
ReplyDeleteIn this apology, he demonstrates that he does not grasp that the cost of Rx meds is a cost paid by insurers, not taxpayers. Just like Viagra.
I would be happy to see him raking leaves for a living, not serving as a pundi[n]t for the under-informed and vulgar, that base that SP is so good at energizing. I bet that Montana judge just loves him. What a ridiculous photo, taken 100 pounds ago. Yuck.
Rush's insult were not just aimed at Ms. Fluke. Rush's goal is to SILENCE women. Rush wants women to fear speaking out because they do not want the insults hurled at them.
ReplyDeleteRush achieved his goal. There are women (and girls) that will hesitate to voice an opinion because Rush EMPOWERS other men to control women by insult.
And, by the way, I have been asked IN MY WORKPLACE with managers and co-workers present whether I was "one of those FEMINAZIs". It's Rush's fault that a man felt safe enough to ask me that publicly.
(In case this happens to you, a good response is "no, you go first. What kind of NAZI are you?". I also sometimes response "define feminazi"
The only feminazis I've ever run across are the right wingers like Dana Loesch on Twitter, who is as moronically defending Limbaugh now as she did Gov. Bob McDonnell when he was indicating he'd sign the transvaginal ultrasound bill in Virginia.
Delete(if you want to Twitter that moron yourself, her moniker is @DLoesch )
"I'm sorry that I have to apologize to sluts and liberals who are too thinned skinned to enjoy my humor." Fuck y'all, Rush
ReplyDeleteUmm... Rush... Buh Bye.
ReplyDeleteIt is time to get this lowlife removed from the Armed Forces Radio Network his show goes out over the airways in Europe and Asia and anyone who understands english must get a really bad opinion of our country.
ReplyDeleteWe also have many women in the service who have to listen to this do not doubt that his words have an affect on our soldiers. Contact the President, the Vice President, the Secretary of Defense or whomever is in-charge of AFRN in the defense Department. Tell the is is time for Rush to go we have enough "ugly americans" on their aiwaves.
I gave it a shot. See their response on the bottom and my reply to their response at the top.
DeleteMr. Fredrickson,
While choice is certainly a wonderful goal, program choices that call women "sluts" and "prostitutes" and state that women who receive health services should provide video of their sexual encounters is a good choice for our military? I can think of many other choices that would also be 'popular' and be just as degrading to females.
As a service to the Department of Defense, are you saying tax dollars pay for this show to be aired to the military? Please let me know if this is the case.
Sincerely,

DeleteI have previously written to the Sect of Defense, Sect of State and the Justice Dept about Rush's comments disrespecting President Obama on AFN. I also wrote to my two Senators and a representative but did not NOT A SINGLE a single response.
Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh belong to the same school of sensational statements made for the purpose of getting attention and publicity. Rush has been disgusting. Those were not jokes. He issued personal insults at a young woman who does not have his access to the media to defend herself. He does not know how birth control works in women. They do not take a pill every time they want to have sex-- like Rush would take more Viagra each time he wanted to have sex. Most places pay the health insurance of their workers; schools provide health care for their students. Rush makes it sound as if taxes were paying for women to have sex. No, Rush, it is to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortions. It provides a system of hormones for women when they need hormones to prevent ovarian cancer. But enough of Rush; he is a vulgar idiot.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin does exactly the same things, saying dumb things that have no basis in fact just to get attention. In Sarah's case, it might generate a few more donations to her PAC. God knows that she needs the money. A million a year to appear on Fox just isn't enough to pay for the weeds, the roaring fire and new houses for Bristol. Sarah will never be chosen by the Republicans to be their vice presidential candidate again. She lost the election for them four years ago, when she enjoyed much more popularity than she does today. It's amazing what a couple of lame interviews can do to a girl's reputation, what with ringing those bells and firing those warning shots. She's too dumb to be Vice President of anything. The difference four years later is that more people know it.
Sarah and Rush have one more delightful thing in common. They both are trashing the reputation of the Republican party. With people like that speaking for the Republicans, it makes them look worse and worse each day.
That wasn't an apology. That was, "please, advertisers, don't leave me!!!"
ReplyDeleteAnd he STILL doesn't get it. It's not about sex. Ms. Fluke NEVER said the things he said she did. It's about women's health, which Rush doesn't care about, and as Rachel Maddow showed last night, doesn't understand. He thinks you take birth control pills like he takes Viagra.
Rush is a pig. Always has been. Always will be.
Ok, how 'bout I just watched the actual testimony Ms. Fluke gave on C-Span and compared it to Limbaugh's rant. Her testimony contained NONE of what Limbaugh complained about or claimed she said. It was ridiculous how off-script he went. He made contraception the equivalent of a condom. Never once giving weight to the multiple benefits of birth control alternatives. It is similar to Viagra's multiple use for blood pressure regulation and penile erection correction. He exposed how ignorant he is of women's health issues and the complexities of our beautiful bodies. Again, proving my point that some men are jealous of the fact that our bodies can do many more things that theirs cannot. So, in true fashion, those things they can't conquer, men must destroy.
ReplyDeleteWhat an ass!!!
He hates women because he's never had sex with a woman, none would have him, and he prefers those he's much bigger and older than who, regardless of age, cannot ever get pregnant!
DeleteI am a registered and lifelong Republican. On Monday, my wife and I are changing our official registration to Independent or possibly Democrat .
ReplyDeleteIt's been coming for awhile though, with the worship of Palin and Cain and the rest, but, Limbaugh was the last straw.
We will not remain in a party that embraces and coddles sick perverts like Rush Limbaugh. There is no other way to describe him and
it is revolting that no elected Republican, other than Scott Brown
would criticize his filthy treatment of Miss Fluke and the other women of Georgetown.
I also have a corporate account at ProFlowers, a company that has always delivered excellent service . I emailed them today and described my displeasure at their sponsorship of Limbaugh
and if they continued to support him financially, I would have no choice , but, to cancel the account.
I reaffirmed my reluctance to end our business relationship , but,
I could not continue to support a company that advertised with Limbaugh.
The email I received back from ProFlowers
was probably boilerplate and computer generated, but, the tone was hostile enough that Limbaugh could have written it.
FTD and local florists will now get our corporate business regardless.
ProFlowers has shown the same weak spine and tolerance for perversity as Republicans.
Limbaugh's disgusting non apology is another stick in the eye of all women and men of decency .
His continued lies about Fluke's testimony reflects his severe mental depravity .
Fluke never talked about sexual recreation as Limbaugh sickly alleges.
It is mind boggling that any company or political party would continue to support this liar and very disturbed individual.
Good for you. Thanks to Sarah Palin the Republican party has become demented. The worst of I've seen in my lifetime.
DeleteI have always felt the need for a strong conservative voice in this country because we need a diverse approach to finding solutions. Thank you for restoring my faith that there are still thinking and feeling conservatives out there willing to stand up for what is right.

Well, I don't want to pay for Lush Limbaugh's VIAGRA! I'm sure that's the only way he can get it up! I also don't want to pay for the babies he might make since he is against birth control! Being that he connects himself with those who profess themselves to be followers of Jesus Christ, he exemplifies not one iota of that which that man purported to be in belief, of.
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh is sub-human. He makes himself out to be better than everyone else, by virtue of his scathing denunciation of ANYONE who doesn't see the world thew way he does. He may think he is better than all those who listen to his garbage, but he is not. Not only that, he never will be!!!
All this he does, for the love of money, and fame.
I don't believe in God, so I'm not looking to play that card, but from just a human standpoint, this man is less than whale shit, and my apologies to all the whales out there. He should expire, choking on his own excrement!!!! The End.
He can't even tell the truth while apologizing
ReplyDelete"we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress"
NOBODY is discussing recreational sex except media farts like this one. He obviously doesn't get any.
The GOP started the war on women's reproductive organs but Women will finish it and this fool will become collateral damage.
Rush has been anti woman as long as I have heard of him. His calling people like me "Feminazi" turned me off years ago. He and Sarah are two of a kind.
ReplyDeleteTo Rush women are either "sluts" or "babes." He called Sarah a "babe"...which shows total disrespect for all woman. Being called a "babe" isn't a compliment coming from Rush Limpballs but I'm sure Sarah doesn't mind.
DeleteI can't wait until that elite liberal assassination team takes care of that asshole. Oh, wait...there isn't one. We know this because he would have been gone along time ago.
ReplyDeletelike Keith Olbermann says "Sorry Rush, it's not an "apology" if you continue to make sexist attacks in your apology statement"
ReplyDeleteJust love how the cigar smoke spews out of his mouth like some phantasmagorical wisp of toxic jism.
ReplyDeleteRush, I for one hope your end is long, drawn out, painful.
Cunty prick bastard.
I'm guessing that Mr. Limbaugh's "social activities" are -- and have been -- significantly supported by Viagra for many, many, many years. I'm sure his Viagra is covered by his insurance. Why should I be paying for this? He clearly has no intention of procreating with with latest Mrs. Linbuagh. Why should I have to pay so he can get all grunty and sweaty 30 minutes after he feels the urge for a "social activity"?
ReplyDeleteEeeewwwww.
Totally O/T: Palin knows for certain now, she doesn't even stand a remote chance in hell of being asked to do anything regarding a presidential or VP run this election cycle (if ever). Check out what she said during her support for Allen West, Palin's new "flavor of the month". Guess she had to jump ship since Gingrich's flavor has turned.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/03/sarah-palin-allen-west_n_1318852.html
Again she has goofed! What an idiot. I would suggest that Sarah keep her friggin' mouth shut! She just makes herself look worse and worse as each showing of her appears. Past time for her to take long hike in the Alaska mountains!
Delete"I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke."
ReplyDeleteWhat utter bullshit!
He ragged on the girl for 3 F-ing days!
Sorry Rush when a woman is called slut, prostitute, and told that her parents should be ashamed of her, all for voicing her opinion, the rest of us tend to get a little bit bitchy.
Oh and Miss Fluke's parents are better people then me. If that were my daughter I'd probably beat your fat doughy ass!
I hope this guy is at his end now, finally! He went way to far attacking women. The funny thing is most women on birth control/contraceptives have most men backing them up on this. Only the most impotent male would not agree with contraceptives.
ReplyDelete"Honey, sorry I can't have sex with you tonight because my ovaries are raging for a sperm to spermulate my egg"
That was not an apology.
ReplyDeleteParagraph One: I used the wrong words.
Paragraph Two: I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities.
Paragraph Three: My choice of words was not the best
Sorry Rush, but seeing you "blowing smoke" from your cigar (just like you do on your broadcasts), reminds me that I don't want to have to pay for your self-inflicted cancer treatments when they occur. BTW, how much did insurance cover for your drug rehab? I want that money back, too.
ReplyDeleteHe is overweight currently and seems to have lived the majority of his life like that (although we did see him shed some pounds afew times).
DeleteI personally think he'll die of either stomach cancer, colon cancer, lung cancer, diabetes or a heart attack.
He talks daily in negatives and hate speech - cannot imagine living within his soul. Think there might be a place in hell awaiting him!!
When is he going to go after the rest of us who have pharmacy included in our health plans?
ReplyDeleteYes, I am STILL going through these stupid emails! I search a few terms a day just to see if anything fell through the cracks.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I still can't copy and paste using the new comment system at IM. But you can find this yourself at document cloud.
I know some people have theorized Sarah formulated the fake pregnancy after seeing the film "Juno"- telling herself if Ellen Page could look so obviously, convincingly pregnant, surely she could as well.
So there's an email from March 17, 2008 where someone by the name of Jolene King writes Sarah to say "wishing you well for the future birth of 'Juno'"
"Juno" was in quotes. It smacks of private, "in the know" inside jokery to me.
Food for thought!
Nyah...in order for you to copy and paste I believe you have to change the "Document" to "TEXT"...do you see the two tabs above the email...one says "Document" and the other says "TEXT"...click on the "TEXT" tab and you should be able to copy and paste. I hope this helps!
DeleteHere's is the email Nyah is referring to...
http://www.documentcloud.org/documents/305139-pra-gsp02-0017280.html
And here's the "TEXT"...
Subject: Labor Web mail from: Ms. Jolene King address: Box 1305 Seward AK 99664 MESSAGE: Wishing you well for the future birth of "Juno" and the health and well being of the rest of your clan.
Here's Baldy's response...a strange response if you asked me...
Original Message ..... From: Governor Sarah Palin (GOV sponsored) Sent: Monday, March 17, 2008 11:10 AM To: jolene.king@yahoo.com
Subject: RE: Labor Thank you for writing to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The concerns, opinions, and/or information you have sent are important and valuable to the Governor. Although she is unable to respond to each and every email herself, your message has been received and is being reviewed by the appropriate staff person in this office who can best address your need, suggestion, or comment.
Ummm...right Baldy...right!
Nyah, that one IS very interesting. Juno was about an unwed teen pregnancy. Makes you go hmmm doesn't it?
DeleteSo this email has me quite perplexed.
ReplyDeleteIt concerns Erika Fagerstrom, longtime member of Palin's inner circle and constant presence during Palin's 2008 year.
The email was sent on that hallowed day April the 18th, 2008- from Erika to Sarah. It says in part "congratulations on the birth of your son Treig Paxton Van Palen!"
Lest you think those misspellings are mine- NO! Erika got three of four names wrong, spelling only "Van" correctly. Misspelling PALIN? Really?
Either this was some other instance of an inside joke- or Erika had a little too much fun the night of the 17th and was still soused.
"I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke."
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure the oxycotin prescription-shopping, Dominican Republic sex tourist Limbaugh was very sincere.
"I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities.
Like Limbaugh's Viagra prescriptions.
Edit Reply
In a previous post I had mentioned that a person should accept an apology if it is given 'sincerely'. Or 'appears' sincere. THIS apology by Rush is not sincere and can only be classified as a pathetic attempt to stop the backlash against him. I agree with everyone else.. apology should 'NOT' be accepted. What a sorry excuse for a human being.
ReplyDeleteThis email is interesting only because of the multiple babies angle(s).
ReplyDeleteIf you search the document cloud archive for "junglemom" you will see the email I am referring to.
This woman is writing on 4/21/2008 to offer congrats on the birth of Trig. She goes on to share her own experience- she had triplets, TWO of whom had Down syndrome! This was notable to me because of the neonatologist's opinion that both "moose baby in the hallway with Heaths Trig" and "Ruffles Trig" both had Down syndrome. (via Laura Novak's blog, I believe)
I of course had the thought- could THIS be someone whose identity we have wondered about all this time? Could this person be involved and have sent this email as a "shot across the bow" due to Sarah's psychotic verbal re-telling of the "labor" and birth?
Likely not- but I had to mention it!
Nyah...I put in "junglemom" and it said...
Delete"Your search did not match any documents"
Hmmm....stange...do you have the document number?
Trust that this SOB wouldn't have even attempted this half ass apology if he hadn't felt the heat of advertisers dropping like flies. Words have consequences, Rush. Welcome to the end of your fifteen minutes of filth you vile pig.
ReplyDeleteOT from Game Change review by David Frum on Daily Beast:
ReplyDelete"Still, one person can always make a difference—especially when that one person is a naturally gifted politician animated by her own grievances, uninspired by any generous idea."
More---
Delete"Palin’s humiliation in 2008 at the hands of journalists, campaign consultants, and comedians deformed her character, and the person who emerged from that wounding experience has in turn done her part to degrade American politics over four long years of economic hardship.
Quite aside from its considerable value as entertainment, Game Change provides a perfect opportunity to begin counting the political and cultural costs of Sarah Palin’s abrupt rise and painful fall"
WOW!
What everyone else well said X 100. Keep working people writing this neandethal's sponsors. Let's keep the pressure on. It takes all of our voices working together to make change happen like our President said. It starts in small places and trickles up. When we all do our part it IS change we can believe in.
ReplyDeleteFired up! Ready to go!
-Colleen
WOw, there are more than 25,000 comments on HuffPo about Rush and his "apology". And it seems that many sponsors are not goin' back. Keep up the pressure on this vicious, flaccid a-hole.
ReplyDeleteI will finish reading the comments in a moment ... I just have to say I love the classy, emotional but pragmatic comment made by Carbonite as they pulled their advertising! Way to go Carbonite! I could not say it better. May all the other advertisers use you as an example.
ReplyDeleteOT- Well, well, well. Oprah may just overshadow the mean girl of Wasilla. Oprah Winfrey will air her interview on Oxygen with the Whitney Houston family-daughter Bobbi Kristina and Whitney's brother and sister-in-law, on March 11! The same night ”Undefeated" is shown on Reelz. Love it! In the bots words "Boom goes the nightstick."
ReplyDeleteI think his crappy apology was a political move for the Republican party. Suspect there was pressure put on him by the higher ups in Congress - suggesting he give the best apology he could - because everything is coming down on their party. They've had idiots running in the primary, Repubs are really disliked in Congress for blocking every move President Obama makes and they are afraid that President Obama is going to win hands down. The stupid things Rush put out there regarding contraception (which he appeared to know nothing about!) and the name calling to a young, college woman just made things one thousand times worse.
ReplyDeleteRush Limbaugh is a horrid man! He is racist and has spoken horribly about President Obama and our First Lady.
He is one angry man and I don't know how he lives in his soul spewing all the crap he does daily!
I am proud of Ms. Fluck and I hope she does NOT accept the asshole's apology! Either that or completely ignore his response of today that he wrote vs saying it over the air!
Let's get this gas bag off the air. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Boycott-Rush-Limbaughs-Sponsors-to-SHUT-HIM-DOWN/253645602134
ReplyDeleteI cannot even imagine a woman going to bed with Limbaugh! First off, he'd squash a woman to the bed or floor or whereever! He's known to have had to use Viagra for years (being caught with it coming into the country). Plus, he's fat, horrible in spirit, not one bit physically attractive and I cannot in any way imagine the slob being romantic. HE ONLY ATTRACTS WOMEN BECAUSE OF HIS MONEY!!! Plus, he's been married four times - what does that tell you? None of his ex-wives speak up about him because he has paid them very well to keep their mouths shut!
ReplyDeleteI imagine he's one of those men who takes care of his own needs before/without taking care of his partner. Ewww. Who wants to go to bed with someone like that?
DeleteThanks for this post G.
ReplyDeleteRush, you're a wanker.
NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH. Stop with the lies, Rush. This is NOT about tax payers paying for birth control. It's about women having access to birth control that the insurance companies have been required to provide since 2000, under the BUSH administration. Why have they been required to provide it? Because they were already providing you with your blue pills you use to get that sorry excuse of a pecker up ever since they became available. You know, the ones you supply all your butt buddies with when you go away on your wild weekends without your wives. (Sorry, not gay-bashing. Just hypocrite-bashing.)
ReplyDeleteFor over 11 years, insurance companies have been required to cover birth control. It only became an issue when the RWNJ told their sheeple it's a problem. Now everyone is convinced their taxes or premiums will go up for something they may have been paying for (along with Viagra) since the turn of the millennium. Is it because it's an election year? Or because the President is a Democrat? Or because he's black?
http://motherjones.com/politics/2012/02/controversial-obama-birth-control-rule-already-law
P.S. I heart Mother Jones. Please consider putting her on your blog roll, Gryphen.
Tessie -- thank you so much for finding this information. I knew it was out there but couldn't nail it down.
DeleteMother Jones rocks, I agree!
PS -- I love the names Tess and Tessie. :-)
Who in their right mind thinks covering birth control prescriptions is cheaper than covering the costs of a pregnancy, many pregnancies, pregnancies year after after year, in addition to the health care of all those born because of lack of access to birth control! AND, that not paying for that coverage of birth control would then be the cause of driving up the costs of insurance premiums as opposed to all those additional pregnancies and those born? Only in American would anyone have had the outright audacity to float such a bogus rational - and have so many morons believe it! Sometimes, I'm just so ashamed that we have so many stupid people out there, it's incredibly astonishing!
DeleteI'd like to hear Sarah "I got Bristol a prescription for the pill to treat her painful cramps" opinion on RL's diatribe.
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh needs to apologize on the air because that is where he slandered.
ReplyDeleteHeads Up (Off topic) HBO has a comments link under
the "synopsis" section for Game Change. It looks like the quitter is the only one to comment so far.

Real talent.

TWO members of this moron's family are judges in Missouri. It is not known what kind of e-mails they send to their best friends.
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh's third marriage (since dissolved -- he's found a fourth female to co-habitate with him) was presided over by none other than Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
The rot is everywhere.
FYI I have served as a juror on two federal trials. The HONORABLE Stephen Limbaugh was the presiding judge. I do not know the man in private, but I can say his courtroom is run with respect and dignity.
DeleteHe's losing advertisers; they are aware women make the decisions on most consumer purchases.
ReplyDeleteHe's screwed up big-time, and I hope he loses everything, the sorry-ass misogynistic, racist, reactionary bastard.
It's about time these hate-mongers are taken off the air for good. They add nothing to our country.
I think maybe we should encourage the latest Mrs. Limbaugh to join the boycott of Rush and divorce his worthless ass. After all, he's just spent the last few days impugning the character of women who have sex for money.
ReplyDeleteWe need to flood Palin's email, facebook page, and the internet with the headline "Rush Implies Bristol Palin is A Slut" -- force Palin to respond to this attack of her child - after all Rush's comments called called all women who take birth control sluts. Bristol has confirmd in her own words she took birth control for "cramps" and we know she was having sex because she tells us in her own words and she has a son (so she wasn't just bragging about the sex).
ReplyDeletePerhaps Bristol doesn't understand how birth control pills work - perhaps she is misinformed like Rush is - thinking you only take a pill for every time you have sex, so on days you are not going to have sex, "save money and don't take the pill" - and that is why her birth control failed - because the only sex education Sarah believes in for her children is to teach abstinence, Bristol could have been as ignorant about birth control as Rush is.
Well, at least we know why Bristol stopped taking birth control pills - she realized that if anyone found out she'd be looking like a slut and people would have been demanding that she make a porn video starring her and whoever to release to the public in exchange for having her prescription covered by her tax-payer funded health insurance AND most importantly - to reward Rush Limpballs and the rest of the RWNJ's! Too bad she wasn't smart enough about the science of biology if you are a woman - you get pregnant! Many times, if you keep doing it with the boys and not learning that biology is biology.
DeleteHey, Rush - Un-apology not accepted! Now, go un-F*** yourself. (Because getting F***'d is too good for you).
ReplyDeleteTranslation: I'm truly sorry that my sponsors are fleeing like rats from a sinking ship. And if I have to apologize to the prostitute so I can continue to draw my outlandish salary, so be it.
ReplyDeleteBut I would still like to see the videos.
The difference between Rush's insults and your use of the 'B' word here is only a matter of degree.
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO.......360 degrees.....get a grip.
DeleteLimbaugh spent 3 full days personally attacking Fluke with lies and the most horrible, filthy references there are against women....then to think an "apology" (which it WASN'T) would suffice...is nothing short of lunacy.
ReplyDeleteLimbaugh has increased the vitriol, at one point asking Fluke: "Who bought your condoms in sixth grade?"
On Wednesday, Limbaugh called Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute."
On Thursday Limbaugh mocked Fluke's congressional testimony, affecting a baby's voice and pretending to cry, saying: "I'm going broke having sex. I need government to provide me condoms and contraception. It's not fair."
Fluke testified about her friends lack of access to birth control pill treatment for ovarian cysts, her inability to pay for it herself, resulting in the removal of one ovary and such damage to the other she will NEVER be able to have children.
Limbaugh later questioned why insurance should cover contraception and played a portion of Fluke's testimony laying out the problems many college-age women face paying for contraception. He asked, "Ms. Fluke, have you ever heard of not having sex? Have you ever heard of not having sex so often?"
AGAIN...Fluke was testifying about the use of birth control for medical needs other than contraception.
After saying that the Washington, D.C., Department of Health "will send you free condoms and lube," Limbaugh said: "So, Ms. Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here's the deal. If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it, and I'll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch."
Limbaugh again attacked Fluke, asking: "Who bought your condoms in junior high? Who bought your condoms in the sixth grade? Or your contraception. Who bought your contraceptive pills in high school?"
Critics of Limbaugh's comments have pointed to the strength Fluke demonstrated by testifying before Congress, particularly given Limbaugh's attacks on her. Limbaugh responded to those critics by saying that Fluke is "having so much sex, it's amazing she can still walk."
On Friday, Limbaugh defended his previous comments about Fluke and complained that "not one person says that, 'Well, did you ever think about maybe backing off the amount of sex that you have?' "
After complaining that the media were not covering the story accurately, Limbaugh said, "Oh! Does she have more boyfriends? They're lined up around the block. They would have been in my day."
Limbaugh went on to say that Fluke testified that her "sex life is active. She's having sex so frequently that she can't afford all the birth-control pills that she needs. That's what she's saying."
Of course Fluke said no such thing, her testimony was never about herself personally.
I find it laughable that Porcine Prince Lardass claims that his vile words were not meant as a personal attack. How much more personal can you get that calling a woman a slut, a prostitute, claiming she had so much sex she couldn't afford the requisite amount of birth control required (a brainless jab), and that her parents should be ashamed of what a slut she was.
ReplyDeleteTHAT wasn't personal?
I think Rush FINALLY went a bridge too far.
Goodbye Lardass.
