Sandra Fluke's appearance on "The View" this morning. Update!

It also appears that Rush is still hemorrhaging advertisers, and there is a petition out to have him kicked off of Armed Forces Radio.

All in all it looks like this may have been one of Rush Limbaugh's more self destructive moments on the radio. And even though he did apologize today on the radio it has done little to minimize the anger that people across the country still feel regarding his hateful comments toward Sandra Fluke.

“I always tried to maintain a very high degree of integrity and independence on this program. Nevertheless, those two words were inappropriate, they were uncalled for, they distracted from the point that I was actually trying to make, and I again sincerely apologize to Miss Fluke for using those two words to describe her,” the conservative radio host said. “I do not think she is either of those two words.”

Yeah that does not exactly convince me of his sincerity either.

Like I said before, "Fuck Rush Limbaugh!" He knew what he was doing and he knew there would be a backlash.

Perhaps he just felt he was too important to lose his job or worry about losing advertisers.  Hopefully he will soon learn that he made an arrogant miscalculation.

Update: The first radio station has dropped Rush's show.

Hopefully more are soon to follow.

I listened to him this morning for a few minutes and believe me he is not sorry for shit. He blamed it on everybody but himself and had numerous women calling in supporting him. He said what is the difference between what he said and others calling Palin a bitch and whore. He is a pathetic human being and as Bill Mahre said for someone that has been married 4 times with no kids what kind of birth control did he use?

Well, it's okay to call someone a bitch and whore when that's what they ARE, but not when they're NOT. that's the difference in calling Palin and Ms. Fluke the same degrading names - and as far as I've heard Ms. Fluke is a LAW student and Advocate for Women, and no association or employment with Todd and Greg is listed on her resume anywhere! Sarah Palin - on the other hand, what can I say - she is intimately involved with a Pimp and his partner who is sighing up new prostitutes right this very minute! Sarah's one lucky gal, alright - even got her very own Pimp husband right at home with her - so who's the WHORE!

As someone who knows many young military folks, Limbaugh on Military Radio is nothing more than propaganda. Most I know either laugh at him, or get angry at the anti-patriotic, anti-American way he blasts the President- their CIC. Even those voting Republican. He is their Commander.

I can tell you this, the military women I know are screaming mad at the right in general these days. They are opening their eyes and seeing the war going on right here in their backyard- the war on women, by so-called Patriots.

actually RL said incredibly obtuse things over and over and over and over for three days.

it wasn't just "two words" -- it was hours of immature, hateful, derogatory and illogical lamblasting of not only Ms. Fluke, but all coeds of Georgetown claiming they are all having too much sex.

he used his time on air to call women who use contraception basically sex maniacs.

    it is psychotic.

not one word about all the boys who we assume were taking advantage of those crazy women on contraceptives.

in the end RL got what he wanted - everyone talking about the bloviate on the air -

he is a very very rich man that uses his free speech to cause disruption and disinformation on a daily basis on the radio.

he is a 1 percenter that has no value to public discourse.

let him bloviate from a public mic if he can get anyone to repeat his message of hate and destruction.

I'll try and keep this short. And that will be difficult. I know Rush's family has been prominent in Missouri for a generations. Apparently for a lot of good reasons. Public service. Philanthropy, etc.

And along comes this guy who has a short attention span. Can't finish his first year of college. Seems confused sexually. Gets into pills. Mixes both of those issues. Gets a microphone (I'll give him a career path that he fought to attain.) Achieves fame that he never imagined. Still deals with pills and sex. Marries four women. Buys giant houses. Gets a radio contract that should be the 9th Wonder of the World ($400,000,000.)

And on the first weekend of March, 2012 he goes so far over the bounds of propriety that he plants his face into the ugliest rock crag that he couldn't have found and breaks into a million pieces.

We are helping this happen because we are a caring bunch of good hearted people whose core values are anathma to this.

I'm his age. I was raised better by a most amazing family that gets bigger every year. That respects and cares for people

Let us stay together and work for change on all levels of government this year.

    Peace.

Get him off the military radio. I was shocked to hear he was even on it as much as he has said horrible things about our President, who is in charge of our military.

Anchorage folks - call radio station 650 on your dial and get him taken off their station. He follows the Rick Rydel show - think he comes on at 9 a.m. Anchorage time daily.

I've listened to him a few times and he has done nothing but offend me and many others that I know. What a jerk!

With the constant insulting remarks about the President The Comander In Chief, Limbaugh should NOT be broadcast to troops overseas or in this country. Our taxes should not be wasted on this sleaze, who never served because he had a cyst on his arse!! It could have been removed. He does not seem to have any problem sitting on his large overpadded rump these days.

Check out Palin's Facebook post where she is using the military to insult President Obama about his phone call to Ms. Fluke. She can't even type out Ms. Fluke's name just refers to her as a "30 year old". She is truly a vile, despicable gnat! Here is the portion of her post..........

After watching the administration “tsk-tsking” the conditions our brave men and women in uniform fight through everyday and listening to the apologizing for our troops’ actions in war zones, I stand amazed and impressed at our military personnel’s loyalty to the office of the Commander in Chief. I understand and am thankful for that loyalty. They deserve better. They watch the President’s complacency as the media seems to forget our fallen by choosing to give more ink and airtime to a phone call the President makes to praise a 30-year-old college student’s “courage” in publicly speaking about her birth control desires than they’ve given to any of our recent soldiers’ ultimate courage and sacrifice on battlefields far from home. Has he made as great an effort to personally encourage the families of the fallen? His priorities are skewed.

Limbaugh Launched 46 Personal Attacks On Fluke; He Apologized For Two Words

Rush Limbaugh has "sincerely apologize[d]" for using the words "slut" and "prostitute" to describe Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke on two separate days and claimed that he "did not mean a personal attack" on her. And does it really make sense for insurance companies to pay for a drug that "causes" erections while pretending that women wanting sex are sluts but that men who have to use artificial means to get an erection are not sluts.

It has always been my experience that most men want to be sure the women they bed ARE on birth control cause they dont want unexpected surprises.

I mean just WHO do the GOP males think women are having sex with? It must be men cause THEY are the onces causing pregnancy.

Limbaugh has been widely criticized by many Democrats and women's rights groups, but the Republican response has been measurably more muted. The GOP presidential candidates have stopped short of all-out condemning Limbaugh's statements. And the pro-Newt Gingrich Super Pac Winning Our Future is running a national radio ad during Limbaugh show.

The Super Pac's spokesman Rick Tyler said the group had no intention of pulling its pro-Gingrich ads from Limbaugh's show.

Gingrich has steered clear of criticizing Limbaugh, instead re-ocusing the issue on President Obama, whom he says "opportunistically" interjected himself into the issue by calling Fluke on Friday.

I got a big laugh out of George Wills bemoaning how the Republicans are too chickenshit to stand up to Rush Limbaugh while they're clamoring for the U.S. to bomb Iran.

Well, of course, because bombing Iran doesn't put them personally into the line of fire. But anyone calling out Rush Limbaugh on his crude, lewd misogyny risks a deadly, stinking 350-lb. ass-print on his or her back.

Even Grisly Mama Sarah Palin was too chickenshit to call out Rush. All her careful, self-righteous Mama Grizzly/Hockey Mom cultivation was revealed as a total sham when she had the choice of standing up for her supposed principles, or calling out Rush for his baiting use of the word retard.

Palin preferred letting Rush put the lie for all time to her manufactured outrage over Rahm Emmanuel's use of the word retard, to risking further Rush ridicule for his own use of it just to get a rise out of her. That's how afraid even tough-talking Sarah Palin is of Rush Limbaugh.

She won't put her own ass in the line of fire either.

That's why I especially loved it when President Obama called Sandra Fluke. He's not the slightest big intimidated by Limbaugh, unlike the grizzled mama.

I was just watching a snippet of her appearance on the View, then came here...and a post was up about it! Here's my opinion on any company that chooses to keep sponsoring Rush Limbaugh: it's a company that approves of vicious bullying. And it WAS bullying; three sustained days of it by a powerful, rich, and famous man against a non-famous, non-powerful woman.

And as is typically the case with bullying, Limbaugh's horrific rants have spawned numerous disgusting sidekicks to crawl out of the woodwork with even more bullying. There is now a Facebook page called "Save the Georgetown Sluts." Thousands of guffawing, crude, vile posts about Ms. Fluke and her female classmates have been put out all over the Internet.

So yeah, any company that chooses to remain a sponsor of this garbage - and for that matter, any station that continues to carry Limbaugh - is clearly ok with this bullying.

Which two words in the following sentences does Limpaw regret?

“testifies she’s having so much sex she can’t afford her own birth control pills and she agrees that Obama should provide them, or the Pope”

“Sandra Fluke. So much sex going on, they can’t afford birth control pills.”

“they want to have sex any time, as many times and as often as they want, with as many partners as they want” (methinks that RL is speaking of himself here. Speak of what you know...)

“Now, what does that make her? She wants us to buy her sex.”

“she and her co-ed classmates are having sex nearly three times a day for three years straight, apparently these deadbeat boyfriends or random hookups that these babes are encountering here, having sex with nearly three times a day”

“She’s having so much sex that she’s going broke! There’s no question about her virtue.”

“Here’s a woman exercising no self-control. The fact that she wants to have repeated, never-ending, as often as she wants it sex—given.”

“Does she have more boyfriends? Ha! They’re lined up around the block.”

“By her own admission, in her own words, Sandra Fluke is having so much sex that she can’t afford it.”

“Ms. Fluke, who bought your condoms in junior high? Who bought your condoms in the sixth grade, or your contraception?”

“Ms. Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here’s the deal: If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it. And I’ll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.”

UPDATE: Another radio station in Pittsfield, Massachusetts– 96.9 FM, WBEC– also says it is dropping the Rush Limbaugh show.

WBEC’s General Manager Peter Barry says his station hadn’t yet lost any advertisers as a result of Rush’s comments, and no more than a handful of callers had voiced complaints. But he says over the years he and station staff have grown increasingly uncomfortable with Limbaugh’s rhetoric.

“The nature of Rush’s programming has always presented challenges for us and he’s always pushed the envelope. But this time he’s

Limbaugh defamed Fluke and the females students at Georgetown 53 different times.
Limbaugh wondered who bought Fluke's condoms when she had sex in the 6th grade.
This sounds like a sexual predator of children, doesn't it ?
No wonder " Leer " Capitol is sticking with Rush.
No advertiser with any shred of integrity , regardless of political affiliation, should be sponsoring Limbaugh's show.
All radio stations should cease carrying Limbaugh specifically because of the child predator comments.

Video: 53 of Rush Limbaugh's most vile smears against law student Sandra Fluke

As you can see, this wasn't a case of a few poorly chosen words. Rush Limbaugh carried out a sustained attack on Sandra Fluke, never once pausing to consider the potential consequences of his lies on her life. At one point, he even celebrated the impact his jihad would have on his ratings. Now that he's losing advertisers, I'll bet he truly wishes he could take it all back—but it's too late. He can't.

Action: Tell Armed Forces Network to drop Rush Limbaugh

"Rush Limbaugh has a freedom of speech and can say what he wants, but in light of his horribly misogynistic comments, American Forces Radio should no longer give him a platform. Our entire military depends on troops respecting each other - women and men. There simply can be no place on military airwaves for sentiments that would undermine that respect. When many of our female troops use birth control, for Limbaugh to say they are "sluts" and "prostitutes" is beyond the pale. It isn't just disrespectful to our women serving our country, but it's language that goes against everything that makes our military work. Again, we swore to uphold our Constitution, including the freedom of speech, and would not take that away from anyone - even Limbaugh. But that does not mean AFN should broadcast him. In fact, it shouldn't."

Time to focus on the State of Missouri.

    http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2012/03/05/438038/limbaugh-bust-missouri-statehouse/

Radio host Rush Limbaugh will soon be honored in the Missouri Statehouse with a bust in the Hall of Famous Missourians. Limbaugh, a Missouri native whose show is losing advertisers after he verbally attacked Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke on air, will join the likes of Walter Cronkite and Mark Twain. Leann Hager, a legislative assistant with Missouri Speaker Steven Tilley (R), told the Huffington Post that Tilley had chosen Limbaugh along with Dred Scott, a slave who unsuccessfully sued for his freedom in the 1857 Supreme Court case Dred Scott v. Sandford, and baseball legend Buck O’Neil as inductees for this year.

Hurry up $arah- Rush's bus is leaving. You want to be on board for all the free publicity don't you? History is being made, don't miss your chance! Be sure to bring Billo the a**clown and Joe Miller along for the ride! Sheriff Joe (that old guy with the pink underwear) is probably too busy investigating birth certificates( the President's not Trig's or yours!) to make the trip, but don't forget to ask him anyway.

Rush Limbaugh is the face of the Republican Party. He whined that he sunk to the liberals level, so it's a liberal conspiracy.

Romney said it was an unfortunate choice of words
Romeny accepted Rush's Apology on Hannity!
    Santorum called Rush "An Entertainer"
    Newt basically defended Rush
Paul was the only one who made a firm statement against Rush.
Forget "leadership" in the GOP, it's non-existant.

I'm so proud of President Obama's phone call. This is a man who has the courage of his convictions, in a subtle way, flipping the bird at Rush and the GOP. He has taken this whole issue, dumped it squarely on the GOP, and they're tripping all over themselves. Classic triangulation, and the polls are in his favor.

    Obama/Biden by a landslide.

But I'm most proud of this young woman, Ms Fluke is a role model for women, men, and the generation that follows.

Rush? He's done. He's had his chance, and he blew it. Keep up the pressure!

LOL So Rush is apologizing for TWO WORDS? He really thinks he can reduce the origins of the shitstorm he's plowing into down to TWO WORDS?

I know the right wing thing is to try and redefine the controversy in order to control it, but his head is WAAAaay too far up his own fat ass if he really thinks that all this anger can be reduced to two "poorly chosen" words.

My question to him is: do you REALLY believe the smoke you're trying to blow up everyone's collective ass, or are you just so entirely lost to narcissism that you actually think that's all the harder you have to try?

Maybe in six months Rush will be reduced to a Youtube channel just like Beck...

so he did not mean those 2 words but he meant it when he said he wanted to watch video of her having sex eh? WHAT a freaking PIG.....

I think Limbaugh had no idea the firestorm would be this big. He thought that the criticism would be limited to the usual suspected liberals and that none of his advertisers would say "boo." His hubris is exceeded only by his hippopotamic landmass, his condescending arrogance, and his burning lust for molesting Dominican children.

While what he said about Ms. Fluke was exceedingly offensive, by his standards it wasn't especially outrageous. However, I am glad that he is finally catching hell for his vile, toxic, verbal sewage.

I hope this pus-filled sack of shit is FINALLY driven from the airwaves. It is LONG overdue.

And Sarah belongs right in there with them, a coward and a chickenshit person. I won't even call he a women!Thank God we have a man in the White House who knows how to treat women right and will stand up for them!

I am offended that this bloated gas bag is on the "public" airwaves. He's free to spew his sexist shit on satellite radio where people can pay to hear him but I want him OFF the "public" airwaves.

Not at all surprised at Palin's response. She's an embarrassment to her gender and has been for quite a few years now. She never misses an opportunity to slam the President which in my book is the most un-American and un-Patriotic of all actions.

I was raised by my very republican parents to respect the office no matter who held it...obviously Palin's upbringing was lacking.

Palin's upbringing...all you need do is take a look at Chucky and Mrs. Chucky.
Chucky was a Teacher, but I wonder just what he was teaching. Insisting his Daughter sleep in the nude, fills me with loathing and questions.

Elizabeth Hasselback...." I don't listen to Rush & actually this is the first time i heard of this....then she goes on to say..."Do you feel the same way about...da da da da da.(which I am sure she is referring to Maher)

First of all, this bitch hasn't listened to the putrid and disgusting remarks that come spewing out of Limbaugh's fat mouth? Give me a break! Who the fuck does she think she is kidding? Of course she has but she will sit there and lie and say that she has never heard these things from Rush Limbaughs mouth. She sits on that panel standing by one of the biggest pieces of shit on earth to only hold onto her republican values and the utter shit she thinks is right.
I saw and watched her supporting Palin at campaigning events, even after Katie Couric and others in mainstream proved her to be nothing but a stupid, stupid woman. Why is it that I want to punch this little bitch in the face? Does she do this shit on purpose so that the View will keep her onboard to stir up the audience? Or is the VIEW paying her to talk this shit?

I contacted our local talk-radio station to reconsider the need to carry his show, and that I was also contacting their advertisers. I also complimented them on other conservative radio hosts to prove I wasn't just one-sided. They have a decent guy on there that will debate in a more dignified fashion that I think is better to promote than L. I think it helps to make note of the difference. I urge you all to do the same.
I think it's great that Peter Gabriel is pulling his music from his show, he was horrified to hear it in the background. "Sledghammer."

Mr. Limbaugh has, once again, shown himself to be a rude, condescending, hypercritical douchebag. Probably stems from his childhood since NO ONE likes to sleep with ugly fatties. Just goes to show all one has to do is be pro Israel and they can get a radio platform. Long live the drug-addicted, sexually deprived blivot. God bless the United States of Israel!
