Introducing "Ask Uncle Gryphen Mondays." Oh this is going to be a bad idea!

Do you believe that photos/documents were scrubbed from Mercedes' computer by the McCain campaign staff?

Among my many faults is a somewhat chronic habit of not returning e-mails, or not answering questions in the comments section.

To be honest there are usually so many e-mails that I simply cannot keep up.  And the same holds true for the comments section.

I want to be more available and interactive, but I simply don't have the time.

So I thought it might be helpful to have a day, perhaps a Monday, where I invite all of you to ask me questions.

I will of course not be able to answer all of them, and some I will choose not to answer. But if I choose to answer any question I will do so as honesty as possible, and simply update this post rather than have it lost in the comments section.

Here let me start by answering a question that has come up about banning people from the blog.

The quick answer is that I never do that.

Blogger does not offer a feature to simply block visitors, though I can identify them as spam and it will block them permanently after a few times of using that option.

However I really don't like censorship, so I tend to not block people. Though I will block ugly comments directed at friends, attempts to hijack a thread, or comments that use certain words which I find offensive.

I also cannot see people's personal information without digging (Which I NEVER do), and don't track IP addresses, or check where in the world comments are coming from.  That seems intrusive to me, kind of like I invited you to a party and then rifled through your purse or coat pockets when you went to the bathroom. Not my style.

Anyhow let's go ahead and get this thing started.

What do YOU want to know from ME?

Question:  Why is your desk bigger than mine?

Uncle Gryphen: It's not the size of the desk, it's how you use it. Am I right ladies? No, seriously, am I right?

Question: Do you miss teaching? Or are we enough of a substitute for the lil ones?

Uncle Gryphen: I never stopped working with kids. I just don't work in the kindergarten room anymore. Shhh, don't tell the  Palin-bots, they think they got me fired.

Question: How has being the parent of a gay child enhanced your life? For example, do you think you would have been as sensitive to the LBGT cause as you are if you hadn't been this lucky? 

Uncle Gryphen:  Everything about having my daughter has enhanced my life. However I was always an advocate for those who were under attack from the majority. One of my best friends in high school was gay and I got into several fistfights on his behalf.



Question: If and when I visit Alaska can I stay with you? Will you be my tour guide?

Uncle Gryphen: Well if you take a good look at the picture above you will see most of what I see of Alaska on a given day. Impressive don't you think?

Question: When is the truth about Sarah Palin's faked pregnancy going to come out, or will it ever come out?

Gryphen: Yes.

Question:  Boxers or briefs? lol - oK, sorry Uncle G., I couldn't resist!

Uncle Gryphen: Undergarments restrictive the creative process.

Question:  Two questions; do you think Shailey's book will ever receive mainstream media attention and when, if ever, do you think the deception of Trig's birth will be verified and revealed to the world? 

Uncle Gryphen: I don't think that Shailey's book will receive much attention unless it catches the eye of a respected journalist who brings it to the MSM.  I have sent it to several sources, and nobody is willing to take a chance on it as of yet. I answered your second question up above.

Question:  My question is: how on Earth do you keep posting so many times, day after day, over so many years without 1) being driven to drink and/or 2) losing your edge? Because you do a fantastic and superhuman job. I think us periodic commenters don't often thank you for the work you're doing. So, thank you! 

Uncle Gryphen: Thank you......Mom.

Question:  Why Immoral Minority as a blog name ? And why is 95% of all post Palins ? Cant you blog about policies that the right are forcing down us than about 2 idiots who made a baby . Just saying ... 

Uncle Gryphen:  The name is a play on words, ie The Moral Majority. And I do, however I still believe that Palin is indicative of what is wrong with the Republican party as a whole. And the Trig scandal is a huge story of corruption, deception, and the selling of a candidate.

Question: Gryph - I've read (online) in more than one place that Sarah's college records are impossible to confirm. In any of the photos of her offices (either as mayor or governor) do you know if there's ever been a college diploma featured on her wall(s)? -OzMud

Uncle Gryphen: No diploma displayed that I'm aware of. I have also never been able to confirm that she received a degree.

Question: Gryphen, do you think Trig is Bristol's child? do you think Levi could be Trig's father? do you think there was a "ruffles" baby?

Uncle Gryphen: No. No. Yes.

Question:  My Question: Do you think there is a learning curve to being a successful blogger? Does your audience in any way influence what you post?

Uncle Gryphen: Yes, and someday I hope to get past it. I have an audience?

Question:  And do you think Bristol was pregnant on DWTS?? Is Tristan the baby from that time? 

Uncle Gryphen: Yes, I think it is fairly obvious that she was pregnant. I have no confirmation that a child named Tristan exists.

Question:  What happened to Anchorage? Was it the infiltration of Jerry Pervert's religion or a combination of AIP and religion? 

Uncle Gryphen: Yes, after the pipeline was approved we received an influx of southerners with oil experience.  They brought with them fundamentalist religion, right wing politics, and anti-government sentiment.  Essentially destroying the progressive utopia that had been my home growing up.

Question:  What happened with Fred's book? Why did it not come out? Why can't you tell us who Fred is now that there is obviously no book coming out? 

Uncle Gryphen:  If I had information that was not part of a private conversation I would happily share it, but right now I can't. And no, despite the incredibly ugly attacks from jealous anti-Palin bloggers, the book is not dead.

On my desk right now are two envelopes with threats to destroy Fred and anybody he works with him if the book comes out.

The thing that REALLY pisses me of is that these letters (With no return addresses of course) are not even from Americans! I cannot IMAGINE being such an asshole that I would attempt to stop somebody from writing a book about their Chancellor, but others seem to have no such qualms.

Uncle Gryphen: Yes, I know they were.

Question:  What, if anything, do you know or suspect about "Me Again"? Legit source or creative writing hoax?

Uncle Gryphen:  All I know is that Me Again was writing from Wasilla, and that she shared things that were not known by the general public. However she NEVER contacted me, so I have no idea what ended up happening, or how seriously to take her contributions over all.
