New Republican ad attacks President for not doing the job they are preventing him from doing. Wait, what?

Okay first off, this looks to me like another pro-Obama ad.  And adding text to try and get the younger voters to turn on him does nothing to make the President look anything but incredibly cool.

Just my opinion.

As for the text itself:

"1 in 2 recent college grads are jobless or underemployed." That may be true but the President has been desperately trying to rectify that, ONLY to have the Republicans sabotaging him at every turn.

"85% moving back in with their parents." As a parent of one of those twenty somethings I have to say that I prefer having my little girl here as opposed to having my daughter trying to scrape by in an economy virtually destroyed by George W. Bush, and one that the Republicans are actively working to prevent from improving so that they can use it as an issue to attack President Obama.

"Student loan debt exceeds one trillion dollars." Yes, and the President has been working to ease the financial burden on these students for over six months. What have the Republicans been doing?

Oh that's right, fighting against it and trying to introduce their own bill that would undermine the Affordable Care Act.

So essentially the ONLY things Republicans have to attack the President with are the very things that THEY are keeping him from improving. Good luck in 2012 GOP!

By the way, GREAT video!  I now want to vote for the President EVEN MORE!

  1. Thanks American Crossroads for putting some of my favorite Obama moments together in one place!!!! Now I don't have to search them out. Oh, and to answer your question? Yes, I AM better off than I was four years ago thank you very much :)

God they are so clueless! They really think that today's college students aren't paying attention. They know very well who is responsible for their debts, and it ain't Obama!

So, who do you blame? The Republicans!

Let's see; the GOP doesn't like gays, blacks, latinos, asians, muslims, woman, environmental regulations, equal rights, taxes for millionaires, affordable health care for everyone, social security, medicare/medicade, peace, cutting military spending, public schools or teachers, science, renewable energy projects...... I bet I could go on for a few more lines at least.

So who does that leave them voting for them? A bunch of rich old white men and their brain washed families. The ONLY reason this crew is still around is because of the millions of dollars that are pouring into them from the multi-nationals: big oil, pharma, big Ag, health insurance companies, and the multi-national banking industries.

And this is why the one thing I am watching like a hawk this election is voter fraud and election tampering. 'Cause that's all they got left.

Again, more tactical brilliance from the Republicans who fail to realize that their paint chip-eating, FOX fawning flock will be simply too fucking tone-deaf and dumb to tell subtle snark from fact. Maneuvers like this will surely backfire as a result.

    Obama/Biden 2012 (by a landslide)

Didn't John McCain try to peg then candidate Obama as a celebrity in 2008? And look how that turned out.

The problem is Mitt Romney has as much charm and appeal as an oven-baked glazed ham. He thinks corporations are people, he likes to fire people, and he has told college students to shop around for a cheaper college.

I don't know what Mitt Romney considers a
"cheap college", but honestly I am afraid to find out.

And yes, my life is better now than it was 4 years ago, thank you for asking GOP.

1:19, that, my dear sir or madam is an insult to glazed hams and quite frankly pigs, everywhere. I find that both substantially more appealing and exciting than Willard Mitt Romney.

I would equate Willard's appeal to that of tapioca pudding, for the obvious reasons.

BTW did you see Mtt's latest pearls of wisdom to college kids on how to succeed without really trying? He told them to borrow $20k from their parents to start a business like his good friend Papa John (of the Pizza).
Awesome, right. Now theres another company I won't order from...I've already nixed Dominos a long time ago because their founder is a right wing zealot.

Mitt earns $57,000 a DAY in unearned income from all his investments. He could fund college for every one of those students and not miss a mortgage payment on the mansions.

Karl Rove has to spend his billionaire masters' money somehow, so he and the geniuses that work at his Scam PAC decide to go with a theme that was an epic fail for McCain in 08.

You know it's bad if Donald Trump blasted this retarded ad.

I think it was Donald Trump that said he thought this was an ad put out by the Democrats. Ha ha. I'm very grateful they are so stupid.
Also, Mitt was just giving a speech to some college students and they looked very bored! I know I was. He has a way of making you zone out. Such a contrast to how President Obama had them fired up this week. You gotta love it.

    @Gryphen,
Did you watch LOD last nite? He had John Heilemann on talking about the "Post Palin World." It was a great interview! I tried to find the video but was unsuccessful.

That's what infuriates me: that they went in from the very beginning not to work for the people who elected them for Congress, but to stand in the way of anything getting done by trying to sabotage the President. A bunch of sore loser racists - the lot of them. That anything got done in spite of them is on the order of a miracle. This is why we all have to turn out not only to reelect Obama, but to give him a Congress that will work with him.

Agreed...ours is better too, and the stock market topped 13,000 today, so all the retirement accounts should be in good shape again. And was that because of the GOP, pray tell? I am so very tired of their lies and cheap manipulations. We have to vote them out, every last one that we can, and at the state level as well. We have a valid set of petitions to get Snyder's "king of my Community" law repealed, and the GOP is saying the FONT SIZE on the petitions is too small. My God. They will stop at nothing in this power grab of our democracy.

These right wing Republican Nazi(s) are trying their best to steal our Democracy. We must not allow Karl Rove, the Koch brothers, and the rest of these fat cats, to determine our future. Remember, one person one vote. That is the basis of our Democracy. Not one corporation, six million votes, paid for by Right Wing Super PACS. They have bought the Supreme Court, the Congress, and now Willard Romney. This may be our last chance to save ourselves from these storm troopers.

If we don't Stand for something, we will Fall for anything. Like these false narratives portrayed in these hate inspired ads.

    OBAMA BIDEN 2012!!

Throw the obstructionist Rethuglican bums out of Congress so we can get America back on the right track! President Obama is great, and cares about ALL Americans. He is very intelligent, dignified, cool-headed, kind and compassionate! No wonder the Rethuglicans try to constantly lie about and bash him! Romney is a lying phony, who doesn't really have a plan to help America - just more of the same old Bush policies - tax breaks for the rich, and screw the middle class and poor!

In yet another example of assuming Americans are simply too stupid to remember anything before yesterday, they've trotted out this "better off" turd to marvel at, once again.

It DID work wonders decades back, when that lame attack was used the first time--so I guess like everything else (like a Three Stooges movie) its going to be recycled for the intelligence-impaired.

I have to admit, after watching the obscenely hawkish comments from the Republican debates, I thought it'd be prudent for the Democrats to show Romney uttering all his warmongering rants, followed by a huge nuclear blast (that pretty well sunk the chances of the hawkish sounding Barry Goldwater, back in the day).

To learn recently that Goldwater was adamant about keeping the religious nuts out of government, makes him seem like a freaking LIBERAL, in today's light.

I'm not a fan of the democrats making the office of the President appear less than professional. Reaching the youth is a positive if it's done with truth and not brainwashing. There are FAR too many young people who blindly vote for a candidate based on ideals. Ideals are not things to vote on

The funniest part about dragging out the old "Are you better off today than four years ago?" meme, is after the Bush/Cheyney Regime, even the GOP would answer yes.
