Make sure to watch for the bride-to-be's reaction in the upper right hand corner of this video.
As much as I enjoyed watching this, I could not help but think of all of the men contemplating marriage out there who are suddenly angry at Issac for having raised the proposal bar to such impossibly unattainable heights.
That was the best Gryphen. I love starting my day with a smile. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell didn't she "propose" to him?
ReplyDeleteToo soon for women to be liberated enough to do that?
Awww... you're cynicism robbed you of a major endorphin upload.
DeleteAre you one of those people who think kittens in knitting baskets are a nuisance?
Oops. I didn't mean 'you are' cynicism ~ i meant 'your cynicism' as in something of which you possess.
DeleteI was a cynic at the tender age of 12. I wrote to TV Mailbag in the local paper (i didn't know at the time it was a syndicated thingie) ~ a real letter ~ and asked them why bad things happen to people every time Lassie is in the area.
The first time i ever read the word 'cynic' was in their printed reply along with my letter.
Ergo: i learned to GRAB my endorphinal secretions when presented an opportunity.
You're right. I'm happier after seeing this. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThat made my day. I hope my daughter meets someone one day that will go to such great lengths to show her how much he loves her.

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting this Mr. G
ReplyDeleteGreat way to start the day.
Scorpie
Now there's a man who isn't afraid of letting the world know how he feels about his woman.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of all the performers, the entire story played out right there in the neighborhood. So fun that there was participation from everyone, that they weren't just standing on the sidelines watching.
And she was just so genuinely shocked, delighted, giddy, moved and stunned to see what was unfolding in front of her eyes.
Really a tribute to thoughtfulness and creativity.
Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThat may be the best ever proposal!
ReplyDeleteIt did brighten my day.
Public marriage proposals in general tend to be cringe-inducing, but not this one! It did make me happy -- so why was I sobbing at the end??
ReplyDeleteOh my, I am jealous. My husband never even proposed. I was hinting around and he just said, "alright dammit, you take care of all the details and I'll be there." I prefer Isacc's way! So sweet. (btw, I wasted no time. No one threw a wedding together faster than I did.} Bur, oh for romance. My old man doesn't have a romantic bone in his body. :(
ReplyDeleteI was recently proposed to, and this video made me think (with guilt!) that I want a do-over! My fiance is very sweet, but he just doesn't have the imagination or organizational skills to put something like this together. About all he can manage is to send me postcards (we are a long-distance couple.) Oh well, at least I get those...
DeleteAwww,I'm shedding happy tears in the morning, while giggling. How wonderfully sweet was that? Thanks for posting it:)
ReplyDeleteThis is the 21st century. It's still up to the man to find some dramatic/romantic way to "pop the question"? How archaic.
ReplyDeleteIs that you Bristol? Sour grapes, huh?
DeleteNah, that's just Nancy spewing those sour grapes for the nitwit.
DeleteBristol's not aware that it is the 21st century, nor does she know what "archaic" means.
Thanks for posting Gryphen, that was great. I watched it twice; the second time just to watch her reaction. Priceless!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! And so many people to share the joy!
ReplyDeleteFor the record, Mr. B proposed to me in a Trailways bus station nearly thirty years ago.
Well, you obviously remembered it...and it doesn't seem to have affected the longevity of your marriage...so would you have wanted it done differently? BTW--were you meeting or departing?
DeleteNo, I'm bashful enough not to have wanted it differently. Mr. B proposed several times, the answer to his question being WHEN we would get married, since I didn't have any money. (His parents ended up orchestrating the whole thing; the only time they got creative control over one of their kids' weddings.)
DeleteI was taking the bus back to work, BTW, my sweetie had some extra vacation time.
That was beautiful! Tears started to flow when all the couples, I'm assuming parents, etc. started joining in. This couple is truly loved and supported. I cannot imagine a better way to start out. Dang, now I have soggy eggs.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY TEARS!! happy tears! this must have raised the vibration of the whole planet.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Portland Oregon... this is the real life.
ReplyDeleteI didn't think it could get any better ~ and then a MARCHING BAND APPEARED!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWith a start like that, it's all uphill! They're such an adorable couple! Her reaction was the best part.
ReplyDeleteI want to marry him!
