Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

For any of you frustrated with Obama, or just simply thinking of sitting out this next election. Think again.
Stop apologising to the blue dog wannabies that spend their time trashing President Obama. This is nothing more than classic Stockholm behavior. The whiners are not believers. They are merely operatives of the otherside.
Only a fool would sit out an election, ESPECIALLY this one.
Also notice the sorry @ss non-voters are the ones who complain the most and the loudest, and think the world revolves around them. If they don't get their every need met, they balk. Yet they are too sorry to vote.
Glad you posted this. Not that I needed it, He had me at "Hello", they lost me at "Hell no". Your vote is all you have, and it's one thing that can't be bought.
OT, I live in Pennsylvania, one of the states with the "voter i.d." law, a republican Governor who's slashed the budget, cut services, closed schools etc...
President Obama's people already have boots on the ground, close to 60 percent of registered Democratic voters certified with compliant id's and rides to the polling stations for those who need it.
Thank you! I saw this before somewhere... but, this time I made sure and posted it to my secret political Facebook page, so people can get this out there!!!
I'm so freaked out over just how adamant "normal" people are, over how they think "liberal" means something bad.
There's nothing wrong with differences of opinion, but when you read through postings on blogs of those making their cases for either side, the ones screaming that we need to vote Republican are always so ANGRY and have a real difficult time spelling.
And so often their rhetoric is a word-for-word repeat of something "reported" on the Fox channel.
I keep asking such people if they truly feel they can trust any politician who is backed by well known billionaires--especially when the race is one in a state far from that rich man's home.
Doesn't that put a TINY bit of suspicion in the mind? Just what in the world, would THAT guy have in mind, that could possibly coincide with the well being of some person who is a clerk in a 7-11 or whatever?
To Anon at 6:48: That wasn't an apology, and it isn't the blue dogs that are the most vocal critics of Obama. He's missed the mark on a number of progressive stands. It's not Stockholm syndrome, it's just a dose of reality. That does not make me an operative for the other side, since I don't want Romney to win and will be voting for Obama despite my disappointment with him in some areas. He's not our best president ever, but he's doing okay, and I'm pleased to have such a nice family representing us in the White House.
Being a "believer" as you put it sounds a lot like having blind faith, and having blind faith in any leader is a very bad idea, with lots of historical examples to illustrate why.
President Obama is ONE MAN, and one man cannot get it all done in such a short period of time. ESPECIALLY when he has a Congress who obstructs, blocks him. You people lack patience and are just immature. BUT in spite of Repub obstructionism he has accomplished more than Bush did in 8 years. He has accomplished more than any president could under the circumstances.
President Obama is doing great, BUT he is being sandbagged by the Repub controlled Congress, and the Blue Dogs. You can find his many accomplishments http//obamaachievements.org/link, and you can find them on the president's web side.
Dear, no president will meet YOUR every need. That is impossible.
Great post. As PollyinAK says, we all need to post this chart on our FB pages, and sent the link to it in our emails to as many people who we think need to see it.
More than one comment at Huffington Post has said "I would for Obama again, even if he set fire to retirement homes and played croquet with kittens. Why? Because the current Supreme Court, as stacked by Papa George Bush for Baby George W. Bush had the gall to STOP THE ELECTION IN 2000 and INSTALL THEIR OWN PRESIDENT - we didn't elect Dubya!! our votes were never counted in Florida! They also didn't raise their voices over waterboarding.. THEY ARE FASCIST, PRO-TORTURE BASTARDS!!
For the sake of our kids We have got to get off our asses an go vote Don't just talk to others Drag them to the polls Don't take no for an answer They are hurting all of us by not voting
Thanks Gryph! I shared this will a friend who lives in WI and was becoming frustrated. He was actually thinking about sitting out this election because it is already so ugly up there.
This just illustrates how critical this election is, not just for the next four years but for decades into the future.
The SCOTUS and the state and local legislators can do far more damage to our country in the long run than most people realize. While the President has enormous power, he (or she) can only accomplish what the Congress allows, and much of the progress made by the POTUS can be UNdone by decisions of the Supreme Court and bills passed on the state and local levels.
Just look at the devastation caused by the Citizens United decision and the damage caused by the right wing governors in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, etc.
We need to reelect President Obama AND give him a Congress that will work with him instead of obstructing everything he attempts to do. Getting some of the radically conservative governors and state legislators out of office will help as well.

You probably shouldn't put this demonstration of a total lack of logical thinking processes out there for everybody to see.

ReplyDeletei read that right now Walker has a slight lead.

People who sit out elections are the problem.
