So how does one know if they are a so-called "Slut?" Well don't bother wondering, there's a checklist.
Hey, according to this I might be a slut. Gee I guess my mom was right.
Now of course this is done with their tongue firmly in their cheek, but they seem to be dead serious about their desire to sign up women and take back their rights from a political party that seems damned and determined to push them back into he kitchen, both bare foot AND constantly pregnant.
Oh, my! My mother's and Sister Henrietta's worst fears have been realized. I'm a slut! It took 50 years to make it apparent but here I am!
ReplyDelete-If you live in a state where your female senator voted no on legislation for equal pay for women and you think she's a *&^$.
ReplyDeleteThis is great.
ReplyDeletePlus, men can also support women in this endeavor. More greatness.
Even my ex who was one of the world's biggest chauvinists would have supported equal pay for women - he loved, loved, loved the money I brought in - more than anything or anyone in our family.
Deletei refuse to fall into this negative joyride. i am not a slut. i am a smart, active, strong woman.
ReplyDeleteGood for You! Let the far right, mostly white men, make laws that pay you less for the same work men do, take ownership of your smart, active, strong female body and mind.
DeleteThis post and movement is satire, and lays out a good case against women and men who feel it's perfectly acceptable to (insert all the words after "might" in the graphic, become the norm by manipulating the laws.
i realize the satire; still refuse to play. rush limbaugh is wrong but it's okay to joke about it among ourselves? imo, no. replace slut with any other derogatory group-term and see if you think it's amusing to see the group use it on themselves in public, esp. as a protest tool.
Deletei'm for positive action, not this. but if you think it'll work, you go girl....
I'm married with seven children, but I too am a slut! We learn something new every day....

ReplyDeleteSo by your description.......according to a certain party....you are a slut.
I could not help but wonder just how good Christian women, are not screaming bloody murder over how the extremists have been pushing the "no abortion in any case" agenda.
ReplyDeleteIf some rotten stepfather, some sociopathic brother, or a relocated sex offender down the street, rapes a girl, you would expect sympathy and full understanding by the women in the local church.
I came across a statistic that may explain this: an obscene amount of people, actually believe that a woman cannot get pregnant, if she remains "dry."
So, if the girl gets pregnant from the rape, it MUST mean she ENJOYED it, and therefore prepared her womb for the resultant child...deserving the consequences, being a slut and all.
Now, I too was a complete ignoramus about sex...when I was TWELVE. Its hard to imagine entering adulthood, still that misinformed.
Yet, because our society acts like buffoons about sex, it does not seem at all impossible that ridiculous notions like this "dry" theory, are spread by one imbecile, to another, unchecked.
I am a slut! I guess 100% of the women I know or have ever known are, as well, SLUTS! Wow. Finally, this word is being redefined. I always wondered when we would all wise up.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, wasn’t a slut somebody who had sex before marriage? I always wondered why there wasn’t a male equivalent word. Now it simply doesn’t matter! Women are still being marginalized by men.
That was my nickname among my friends in high school, not because I was easy, in fact, I was very much the opposite. I got the name because I had the nerve to do what I wanted. If I wanted a date with a guy and he didn't ask, I'd ask him. This was not how it was done in the tiny Midwest town where I grew up. I didn't have a lot of parental supervision and my dates' parents were often a pretty leery of me. I was strong willed and outspoken. It’s funny though, I got into a lot less trouble with drugs and guys then most of the "good girls" I knew, mostly because I wouldn't be pressured. I made my own choices and still do. So, I'd qualify and wear the name proudly, just as I did back then.
ReplyDeleteAdd me to the "Slut" brigade. Married with three kids and a husband who's a "Slut" as well.
ReplyDeleteThe equal pay for equal work law that got voted down by the GOP was a brilliant move on our President's part. Toward the end of the election cycle, all he needs to do is play footage of the yays vs nays. He's got the Women's vote, and in many cases, their husband's as well. This affects Families, not just women.
Obama Biden 2012 and a Democratic House and Senate.
i see that Ozmud has a Rock-the-Slut post up, and that it's not getting any feed-back. Perhaps the RTS idea is a bad one?
