Sarah Palin has an "Armor Bearer." Well alrighty then!

The other day a reader sent me an e-mail telling me that Palin has something called an "Armor Bearer" on Twitter.

I took a look, and yep she sure does.

It looks like this person has been on the job since 2009, though admittedly I had never heard of them.

And come to think of it I had never heard of an "Armor Bearer" before.  So I did a little research.

Armor bearers are selected by church pastors or ministry leaders to support them, especially with prayer. They are so called because in Biblical times, an officer was selected by kings or military personnel due to bravery, to assist them in dangerous times and to bear their armour. Judges 9:54; and I Samuel 14:7, 16:21 and 31:6 all refer to the role of armor bearers. The job description for the armor bearer is as varied as the leader the armor bearer serves. In most cases, men should be armor bearers for men and women should be armor bearers for women because addressing personal needs is often part of the job description of an armor bearer.

Yeah, okay.

Now how RAM, or Nancy French, or crazy ass Kristy didn't get this job I will never understand.  Though I guess to be honest there is a possibility that there are numerous individuals who have taken on this "responsibility."

However I am not sure ANY of them took it as seriously as this particular person did, At least judging from the background on their Twitter account.

You know Mitt Romney might have magic underwear to protect him, but this person has magic..uh..everything!

Wow is there NO Sarah Palin supporter who is NOT mentally unhinged?

By the way, and not to be critical, but if this person's main job has been to "avert many physical, mental and spiritual problems for both the armor bearer and the leader," I am not sure they can take much pride in their success.

After all back in 2009 Palin had a fairly prominent voice in conservative circles and was in constant demand for her opinion, not to mention that she was considered a viable contender for the GOP nomination for President. Today she's, you know, a joke.

It looks like SOMEBODY didn't do their job very effectively.

I'm just saying.

P.S. But don't feel bad, neither did Palin's family, her paid advisers, her speech writers, Fox News, or the little voices in her head that told her that God had chosen her for something special.

What a loser. Obviously this person is mentally deranged and needs serious professional help. Let's pray that he gets it before her hurts himself or others.

I really believe that most of her followers have some form of mental illness. They seem to have a very low self esteem and use Sarah as a mental crutch. Most of her followers also seem to rely heavily on religion to close their gaps in their understanding of nature, and relate to Sarah when they hear her using her own faith to answer those same gaps. Or in other word, Sarah and her followers seem to have had, and still do have, difficulty in understanding semi-complex principles most people can understand. It would then make sense concepts in math and science would be problematic to both Sarah and her evangelical fans.

I pray everyday that the babygate hoax is revealed and everyone learns the truth about Tri-G. Sarah Palin stole her daughter's first born and faked a pregnancy for political purposes. She did NOT give birth to Tri-G. I dare anyone to prove me wrong.

PS- Where IS tri-G anyway? He's been MISSING for YEARS but no one seems to notice. Has child protective services been notified?

  4. These people are just crazy. Why would any sane person spend their time doing this? Ugh.

Also, a question: I seem to have missed the Romney magic underwear story. What's that about?

    Thanks.

If you look up info about the Morman church - they sell "magic" underware - they don't call it magic, but it is blessed underward that is support to protect them in some way (I read about it awhile back and forget the details)

All Mormans wear a special underwear under their clothes for protection or purity. They do not call it magic. They have many interesting/strange customs as do all religions (IMO). No offense to anyone Morman, but this is one religion that I really don't get-I think they are very cult like and they are far too involved in politics.

This is just plain concentrated and freeze dried crazy. Delusions of grandeur mixed with fundie derangement and worship of a psychopathic dullard. What could possibly go wrong?

Scary thing is this person's vote counts just as much as yours or mine. Make sure to vote or these superstitious, paranoid mouth breathers will put even more t-bungers in office.

It's easy to laugh at these poor deluded folks, but we must also be watchful - nothing is as dangerous as the commited person that no one takes seriously. If the things they are praying for don't happen on schedule, they will "help things along" all in the name of doing the Lord's work. Scariest of all, they are not afraid to kill or be killed to further their agenda.

When they are following a deluded, power hungry whack job like Sarah Palin, it's a truly toxic combination

Don't forget the "nether regions", according to the post, males have male bearers and female have female bearers, because part of the job description involves caring for all physical needs. I doubt Todd changes her poise pads and depends undergarments. She needs at least three per "wig"- those suckers look like wild beasts, just sayin'

Uggggghhhh! When I read this, it really grieves me. This attitude that has permeated the church lately with these special self-appointed 'soldiers' of prayer is a distraction and a newest fad to make oneself feel more important.

I remember that those verses about arming oneself with God's armor. But one has to read the WHOLE chapter of Ephesians 6 to see the whole context. This chapter was an admonition for christians to be aware of the spiritual battles they would face.

In the first verse of that chapter, it says, "Children obey your parents, in the Lord, for this is right. It also says, "Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee and you may live long on the earth". Also, it commands, "And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord". Again, it asks christians to "be obedient with good will, doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth the same he shall receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free", and "ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing, threatening, knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with Him."

THis chapter then asks the reader to put on the whole armor of God. But, first, the reader has to be in agreement that he obey the first directions. An unrepentant person who manipulates, uses, dishonors their parents by rebelling, and parents who neglect their children or who show their affections for some, but slander others, are NOT prepared one iota to put on the Armor of God, unless they repent, change, and it will show in their attitude.

Putting on that 'spiritual' armor is so that one is able to stand against the "wiles of the devil". That armor isn't literal, it's figurative and is Jesus' way, not man's. Feet shod: with the gospel of PEACE Breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS Shield of FAITH Helmet of SALVATION Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

No where in scripture that I've read yet, where another person has the authority to be a spiritually-armed guard for OTHERS. These bible passages all point to the individual putting on their own armor. Each man responsible for himself. Each man will be judged by God for his actions.

SLParmorbearer has not understood yet that it's Sarah that needs to FIRST obey the commandments of our Lord Jesus, then she may put on her own armor. And by their fruit we shall know them.

Hey Anon @7:17, please try to remember that you are not in church here in IM, and many of us don't care at all about your exegesis of Paul's letters.

The niceties of christian doctrine aren't even relevant to many here.

From what I can see about your post, it's not much more than proselytizing, and your efforts are in vain

$arah Palin is a true psychopath, and has no regard for religion unless it can further the "Esther" myth.

Try to bear in mind that she is STILL competing for the 1st place finish in the beauty contest she lost to a black women.

Her entire life is about fame, money, gossip, enemies lists, and reveling in the drama, and sowing hatred and trouble.

AJ, I'm not particularly churchy, but I appreciate the point made. Anon 7:17 was only putting the whole thing in context. And in this case, the Bible is the proper context. It isn't about Sarah, but her armor-toting "protectors" who are confused about Scripture.

They are so clearly still using this show as a way for Scarah's few remaining fans to get a glimpse of their idol. Blech. (and of course "most of the scenes were filmed in Ala$ka.")

Never noticed it before but Bristol's face is G'pa Chuck's face...same heart-shape, same nose, same chin (before chin enhancement), same eyes same smile. If Bristol had light hair, she would be a spittin' image. That's why Tripp looks so much like G'pa Chuck Heath.

    3. Scene of Bristol outside the gay bar weeping and blubbering into her telephone next to her truck: "...There's the real Bristol...I'm calling my boyfriend, I'm calling my mom...augh, get me out of here...like, people are going to see the real Bristol..."

Bristol, I don't think "seeing the real Bristol" means what you think it means.

It's not "a grounded, normal mom" as you describe yourself. It's a co-dependent whiny emotionally immature female who gets into situations she not only cannot get out of using her own intelligence, she immediately calls for help from others evidently stronger and/or smarter than she is.

It's pathetic. Is this a grifting ploy to portray yourself as a victim (again)?

Oh, and Bristol? The people who don't like you...you're "not trying to change their opinion on it"? They're not EVEN GOING TO WATCH your pointless whinefest.

It's so characteristic of you as a Palin to bring up the negative whines in every interview, instead of being positive. Why don't you just focus on the people who LIKE you (morons that they are) and forget about the people you call "haters"?

And it'd help your mental and emotional health to stop reading the comments here at IM. Because NONE OF US LIKE YOU.

News to me #7635678. Thank you for researching this odd phenomenon.

Yes, we can laugh, but meanwhile the Repubs are way more successful than they should be, even in blue N CA, where (due to redistricting) things are looking iffy re future D control of the House. OT. I happened to catch an episode of the VEEP last night on HBO. This episode involved her traveling with her entourage to endorse a candidate and the candidate refuses her endorsement due to her terrible poll numbers. It is so hilarious. This emotional wreck of a Vice President is only slightly removed from the actual Sarah Palin. You have got to see it, Gryphen! There are so many things that mirror situations with Palin. Breaking down because she hasn't seen her children. Coming to a state to endorse a candidate for governor and his campaign telling her they won't accept her endorsement because she is a nut case. Interviewing with a serious reporter and flubbing it. It was pure joy watching it. Julie Louise Dreyfus was hysterical as a clueless, unhinged, erratic VP, much like Sarah Palin herself.

Hopefully The Second Season Of Veep Moves Away From The Sarah Palin Plot Lines

      http://crushable.com/entertainment/veep-season-finale-selina-meyer-976/

Here’s the problem with that plan though. No one (who watches HBO) likes Sarah Palin. No one wants to watch a show about the misadventures of one of the worst people to ever get a real life VP nomination. It’s not funny, it’s scary. We can’t fall in love with someone we hate in real life. That’s like trying to develop a romantic comedy around Casey Anthony. The jokes might be sharp, but we’re still reeling from the real life trauma.
