A year ago this month Jon Stewart went into the belly of the beast to confront Fox News over their biased coverage and defend his brand of comedy.

Considering the anti-Obama garbage that Fox is producing now, and their attempts to help the Republican party destroy democracy in this country, that this was a relevant interview to see today.

Watch how Stewart remains perfectly reasonable while he carefully explains the difference between a satirist and a humorist, as opposed to a journalist or propagandist.

P.S. There are some good shots at Palin in this interview as well, for those of you who only come here for that kind of thing.

You've probably already received this message, Gryph, but on my phone there is no sound. Yes, I've checked all my connections.

That sniveling little neocon certainly felt he held the high ground. He was like Joe the Plumber reporting for Pajama's Media thinking he accomplished a 'gotcha' question with Israeli soldiers that absolutely didn't make sense.

Chris Wallace certainly understands Jon Stewart, and they are frightened of him because his high powered perception see's right through them. They know that viewers have a universal appreciation for his ability to articulate sanity and call Fox out for their machination of disinformation. The Daily Show doesn't have an 'agenda,' the Daily Show just makes Fox News look like parody.

  3. Thank you for posting that, Gryph. It needs to be seen by everyone. Chris Wallace falls far short of his father's legacy, but he is arguably the best on the FOX menu.

Stewart was brilliant but his answers were lost on the usual ill-informed mouth breathers who look upon FOX as "fair and balanced." These are the people we should all fear. If they can tear themselves away from their couches long enough to vote, they could turn the election to Romney. Because we know by now that the average FOX viewer would never vote for a black man, regardless of his record or accomplishments.

Gryph, thanks for posting that. I remember seeing that before. I just LOVE the part where Stewart points out that fox viewers are the most consistently misinformed viewers. His attitude and the look on his face gives me goosebumps. It's like he full on knew he had Wallace on the ropes with that statement.

Here's what I love: Jon Stewart, who says he is a comedian pointing out the absurdities in the political process, could defend against every single charge Wallace leveled at him. And he is so well-informed! Did he watch the Republican primary debates? Well, yeah, of course. Did he know about the New York Times attitude to the Palin e-mail dumps? Obviously.

Sarah Palin, who ran for USVP, could not have answered a single one of those types of questions. She will never go into the lion's den the way Stewart did. She gets paid a million dollars a year to be a political "pundint" for the very network Stewart is challenging, yet she admitted on air she was "too busy" to bother watching the primary debates.

Liberal media bias? Or the jokes just writing themselves where she and her fellow clown posse are concerned?

Thanks for the memories! Jon Stewart forgot to ask Chris Wallace where he cut his teeth (Lamestream Media) before he went to Fox, would have loved to see him weasel out of that one.
I couldn't stop laughing when Wallace says "A herpes commercial? Really??!

And the hypocrite divorced his first wife and four kids to marry the wife of Dick Smothers, a comedian.
    Oh the irony!

Been trying to find out what this abbreviation means ever since hearing it for the past couple of months.

Wished people would still use clear, plain, well-spoken words again... INSTEAD of stupid TEXT abbreviations!!
