Full video of Vice President's speech at the NAACP today.
Like I said earlier Biden knocked this out of the park.
The audience might have been a little disappointed to first learn that the President himself would not be making an appearance, but by the end of this speech I don't think ANY of them felt let down.
Listen at the end of the speech, they booed the Vice President as well, only they booed HIM because he said he was going to wrap it up and end the speech. That's how good it was.

Take THAT Sarah, you FAILED V.P. candidate. "O'Biden" is what a 'rill' Vice President looks and sounds like. You're just a sad, drug-addled, over-nipped-and-tucked, mentally-ill, traitorous has-been. And your daughters are a huge embarrassment. The rotten apples haven't fallen far from your crazy tree ... Buh-bye.
ReplyDeleteRemember, remember, the sixth of November! Democratic LANDSLIDE!!
Amen to that!

You tell her Dkey!
DeleteI love me some Joe Biden!

DKey - why hide behind mushy rhetoric and vague euphemisms? If you have an opinion to share about the Screechy Wretch(tm) just put it out there in plain language so everyone knows where you stand!
Delete(sorry, couldn't resist... well said, by the way)

Thanks, Beldar! You're right. I DID hold back. Ha! Peace, friend.
DeleteWhat a difference a day makes.
ReplyDeleteI'd be lying if I said that speech didn't give me goosebumps! Joe knocked it OUT of the park with bases loaded.
ReplyDeleteCompare and contrast meh'tt and Joe. Same venue. Same crowd. Amazing.
Obama/Biden '12
Excellent!
ReplyDeleteObama/Biden 2012!!
I think it was a really good choice to have Biden speak to the NAACP in contrast to Romney....white guy vs. white guy....it will make it harder for the Romney campaign to claim racial bias.
ReplyDeleteExactly! My spidey senses are telling me this could be yet another brilliant move from our ninja chess-playing President. Always one step ahead...
DeleteGreat speech but I disagree with VP Biden on one point - the Republicans ARE bad guys. I don't know how else you can cut it. A fundamentalist religious evil has taken over the party and the only response from a Republican who ISN'T a bad guy is to change parties.
ReplyDeleteFucking brilliant!
ReplyDeleteGryph -- Thank you so much for posting this. One of the many reasons I love you.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that guy. Love, love, love Joe Biden.
ReplyDeleteHe is one superb, SUPERB, speaker. I love that he's got the President's back.
And I agree with one of the previous posters. MSNBC First Read had some blurb about how President Obama disappointed the NAACP not showing up and it was a mistake, yada, yada, yada.
But the poster above made a great point--hard to whine racial bias when another white guy shows up and kicks your conservative, whiny butt!!!
My daughter's second 2 words were "Joe Biden" when asked "Gracie, who works with Barack Obama?" She was 20 months old during the DNC in 2008 and her first 2 words were "Barack Obama."
We love Joe Biden here in our house!!!
Thanks for posting this, IMHO, smackdown of the Mittster.
I love the fact that Vice President Biden talked about the conspiracy to obstruct. Treason at the very center of our nation. Consider the fact that the Republican House has not voted on a single jobs bill since taking office in January 2011; every jobs bill has been lost in committee. And they still have the gall to talk about the need for jobs!

Egg Freakin' ZACK-lee! How the Tea Partiers who claim to have elected their gang of witches, goblins, and town fools to congress in 2010 on the platform of nothing but JOBS JOBS JOBS do not feel completely DUPED at this point, is revealing that they had no such agenda in the first place.
DeleteThey simply do what their masters instruct them to, quite obviously.
I always thought the man to be different from the run-of-the-mill politician, but have never before heard VP Biden in a full length speech.
ReplyDeleteHe had all of the cadences, the emotions AND all of the facts to keep his audience in the palm of his hand! Well done, Sir, well done! You have my admiration.

Watch: Biden At NAACP Says ‘Election Will Come Down To Character, Conviction And Vision’

Somewhere Sarah Palin is wrenching her mug into one of her trademark ugly fright-faces while the bile boils over in her black little shriveled heart.

And that thought brings a smile to my face!
DeleteIt's late night here and I really didn't want to listen to a 26 minute speech. I did. I'm very glad I did.
ReplyDeleteWhile his style is very different from the President's, Vice President Biden was just as effective in moving and inspiring the audience. He looked extremely comfortable and seemed to be truly enjoying the opportunity to share his and the President's vision. I particularly liked how he repeatedly contrasted the vision of the Obama White House with that of the Romney White House (heaven forbid!).
Nicely Done, VP Biden, and I hope to see you and President Obama standing on the podium, taking the oath of office next January.
That was sheer genius!
ReplyDeleteJoe Biden knows how to deliver a speech. What I loved most was his use of "those people" at the end. Instead of calling Mitt out for the racist overtones, he flipped it on it's side and used it in reference to them.
Obama and Biden 2012!
When it was over, i stood and cheered and repeatedly flicked my bic!
ReplyDeleteI want the America as seen in Barack and Joe's vision.
