Lawrence O'Donnell addresses Mitt Romney's investments in a fetus disposal company.

This is not the only place where the story is showing up.

New York magazine, the Atlantic Wire, and the Examiner are also hot on the trail.

If this continues to receive attention from news outlets it could prove to be a very difficult stumbling block for Mittens to overcome.

Personally I waiting to see Mitt's reaction the first time a reporter gets the opportunity to ask him about this. The guy has NO poker face.

  1. No poker face is right. His face telegraphs the emotions of a petulant child and when asked questions he doesn't want to answer, he is tense and awkward. He has the demeanor of a spoiled child who has never wanted for anything. I saw a clip of him being heckled, he was stunned and there was a long awkward pause. He is used to being the "king."

Apparently he is unaccustomed to us serfs speaking up for ourselves. Witness his previous conduct while governor: he did not socialize with his 'underlings' in the legislature and had his own elevator so that he would not have to encounter them going to and from his office. He is the Patriarch and must be obeyed without question at all times, it seems.

I truly hope that Romney continues to be the republic candidate and that no one comes forth and defeats him at the convention as he should be pretty easy to beat, in part because of his HUGE lies about just about everything in his life. He is a dirtbag of the highest order. This idea of making money on dead fetus should create a firestorm amongst the teabaggers.

If it wasn't for the fact that Romney is a hypocritical, scheming, lying, empty suit--he wouldn't exist at all . . . .

Mitt needs to show us his tax returns. I'd like to see how else this lying sack of crap made his money while claiming to be "severely conservative".

I hate to have to tell you this but the big Romney story today is his idea of declaring a truce. Follow that up with a visit to Redstate and Cons for Palin to read the antics they're going through now! Some even thinking about Romney not being their man after their convention of hate!

I think they are hoping it just goes away. It's got to be embarrassing when Levi's story at HP gets twice as many comments as another article about Brisket. Sucks to be Sara and now it sucks to be Brisket.

I would pay to watch the two of them in a temper tantrum at Lake lu-seal - throwing shit hither and yon. What ever became of the Briskets blog?

LOL...Since The Daily Show and Colbert are reruns tonight perhaps a live blog on the Bristol show could be fun since I think it is featuring Queen Esther at CPAC?? How bout it Uncle G?

I just watched it, epic fail! Beefy manages to bake a cake from scratch in her new, real American, Ikea kitchen. With her spoiled "hellion" son, because she "can't discipline him, that the FATHERS job") "Scratch" apparently means "From thin air", because there's no flour, sugar, eggs, milk, etc in sight.
The surprise party for Mom is at the bone collecter, includes a "family photo" with Trigg number two, bratty hellion Tripp, Brita and her daughter, Fallopia, Willow ( streaked hair dye accident), Made up Piper with big hair, and Whining Beefy being bitchy.

Todd gives her advice, to remember Sarah was the disciplinarian "all those years I was working on the slopes"

They bring Tripp to a gun store to buy Sarah a pink pistol, because she has so many guns, but not one of them is pink.

Apparently, they cut out the CPAP speech and did a quicky edit job. Can't wait for Gina's review!

I noticed that Stericycle has a medical waste management facility in Salt Lake City, home of the LDS church. But check out this whacked out conservative link "Campaign To Stop Stericycle - reproving and exposing Stericycle for its abortion collaboration".

    http://www.stopstericycle.com/

They even attack truck drivers with rocks. I clicked on the tab labeled "Blood Money Profiteers" that lists profiles on Stericycle's executives and board of directors. I did notice that one very prominent name is missing...

Steri is a very dirty company - I recall many conversations around the OR's I used to work in about Steri and their business model. None flattering.

Thanks for the link, Colleen. Can't wait for this to blow up in Romney's face, hopefully it'll go viral and stay in the news past the holiday weekend.

Stericycle is filthy. My mom's a dialysis patient, and her center refuses to use them ever again. When they picked up the "medical waste containers" (Cardboard boxes with cheap red plastic liners), the staff had to clean up the medical waste that trailed behind, through the center, onto the sidewalk, and in the street.

I can't imagine them handling chemotherapy waste, or even regular trash.

Oh and back in Jan. 2012 Huffpo did report on this story saying, "But at a time when Romney is attempting to sell South Carolina voters on his pro-life record -- running values-themed radio ads and defending himself from attacks that say he governed as pro-abortion lawmaker -- the link between Stericycle and Bain could still cause him problems."

    and

"More than suggesting Bain's indifference to the abortion debate, the story the firm's involvement with Stericycle illustrates how the private equity chapter of Romney's career has complicated his political ambitions. Every company Bain has invested in has a story of its own, whether it's the use of generous tax breaks and government subsidies to build a steel company in Indiana or the rapid growth of Staples."

base will not like it but they will vote for him anyway because they will never vote for obama.

the question is will the moderates care - probably not.

  13. This type of story is key to alienating Romney from the GOP's Evangelical base. Keep hitting him on this - this alienation works to keep the GOP base home on election day.

"Anybody but [insert President here]" is not a winning strategy - just ask John Kerry.

This could very well be the real reason he's been so evasive about releasing his tax returns. They might:

    1. show that Romney made an enormous profit from this business and

    2. contradict his claims that he retired from Bain before they invested in the company. (In other words, prove that he's the liar we all know he is!)

He released the returns to the McCain campaign and they subsequently avoided him like the plague. This could be why.

  17. I love that Mitt's 'blind trust' is managed by several of his attorneys on retainer and don't we know that he would NEVER, EVER talk to them or give them any 'helpful' pointers on how he wants his investments handled.

I'm still amazed that Romney agreed to run knowing his empire would be somewhat exposed and that he might actually have to mingle with the hoi polloi.

Keep passing this story along, keep it going. Why do these stories ALWAYS break as a long holiday approaches?

Mitt Romney, Serious Conservative and Abortion Profiteer extraordinaire!

Fox News will break this story with the sounds of crickets chirping.

  20. Watched HLN News video of Mitt Romney shaking hands with supporters and saw his security staff stop a gray-haired lady from shaking Mitt's hand.

Does anyone know if for some reason Mitt is not allowed to touch women other than is wife? Non-Mormon women, maybe?
