Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

I waited all day yesterday to hear what Rachel Maddow had to say about the protests and violence happening in the Middle East. I was not disappointed.
Rachel Maddow can explain a complex international incident like no one else. Maybe she should be an adviser to the White House and the spokesperson. I think a lot more people would be less likely to "shoot first and aim later" if they listened to her!
Sarah Palin Claims Innocence of Muslims Video Doesn’t Really Exist
problem for Palin is that the video does exist. It isn’t a phantom video at all. In fact, you can watch it right here. Of course, the video can’t exist because it appears that the people behind the video are extremist right wing Christians, just like Palin herself. This little bit of information has to be overlooked by Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, and Fox News, because how can they blame Obama for this when part of their own base was responsible for the video?
It is not just Sarah Palin. The entire right systemically ignores their responsibility for everything in order to blame Obama. Paul Ryan routinely criticizes Obama for the economy and deficit while ignoring his own role in obstructing the president’s agenda. Mitt Romney has built his entire presidential campaign around blaming Obama.
Any evidence to the contrary is ignored. It is always Obama’s fault.
Sarah Palin’s comments demonstrate how desperate the right has gotten. The wheels have completely come off the Romney campaign, so all they are left with creating a false reality and hoping that America takes a couple of hits of Elephant Acid and comes along for the trip.
Unlike Sarah Palin’s hair the video is real, and the only phantom at work here is the invisible hand of Roger Ailes that is performing CPR on the rapidly expiring Romney campaign.
Mitt and the Far Right were gasping for air. They bit the lure. The terrorists are celebrating. For what? Succeeding in manipulating the fundie political discourse? Shit, Sarah once did that.
The Far Right and terrorists better enjoy it while they can.
America and our President are making plans.
We will go over there, hunt the murderers down, and kick ass.
Absolutely effing true!!! She can't draw attention to the RWNJ's of her base who are stirring up the pot with hatred and violence. They have blood on their hands...because they knew it was inflammatory and would incite the radicals in the Middle East.
Media for Christ, a Duarte, Calif.-based Christian nonprofit group, applied for the film permit, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported. The charity's misson statement is to "glow Jesus' light" to the world.
How can Sarah Palin get by with covering up for these extremists? Isn't she a pretend friend of Jews? There is a video, it does exist and it is all over the news that it is causing riots and attacks across the Middle East. How can prominent Republicans cover this up?
Far-Right Extremists Tried Pinning Blame for Anti-Islam Film on Jews http://crooksandliars.com/david-neiwert/far-right-extremists-tried-pinning-b
Hannity, Palin, and others can honestly insist the film doesn't exist by differentiating between the film/movie, which has never been seen, and the trailer, which has been seen and is sufficiently disgusting to generate the outrage. They're just careful they don't mention the trailer.
Anyway, individual protesters don't actually have to see the trailer to protest it. It's enough to hear about it from their leaders....kinda like the way Fox News and Republican politicians rile up their followers.
Denar, Libya is to be a AQ training ground after Afghanistan. As I understand so far, there was a small protest over the movie and also the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. The latter group is most suspect.
We need more journalists like Rachel. She is about the only one I pay attention to these days.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree. She is always calm and right on point, without being strident or overbearing.

Ailes is overrated.

I was wondering if there could be some AQ connection to the attacks in Libya et. al. Thanks G for posting this.
ReplyDeleteShould we be more or less worried? Hard to say at this point.

ReplyDeleteHere is a BBC timeline

A senior official in British Intelligence asked in 2001 what will the U.S. do once we've "hit the mercury with the hammer in Afghanistan and the al-Qaida cadre has spread all over the world."

Well, we've certainly gone and done it! Best we reelect the president for our course correction to take.
