There was a new SNL on last night, with a NEW actor playing President Obama. And it was AWESOME!

Okay, I actually laughed myself sick watching this.

Brilliant, and I really like the new guy playing the President.

They also did a riff on Clint Eastwood and his chair. But it was not nearly as good as this cold opening. In my opinion of course.

He may look more like the President, but Fred is way funnier.

Excellent article. Romney is running on being such a super businessman, but if anyone wants to know how deplorable Romney's leadership and organizational skills really are, you need to read this.

"(The) blame goes straight to the man running his own campaign: Romney himself, according to a number of people in and out of the campaign."

I think that guy did a very good job as obama. it was pretty darn good as his first "official" obama impersonation, he's going to refine that and be even better. I really liked the beginning with fred amisted, kind of like a passing of the torch, since he used to be the snl obama impersonator.

and of course, jason sudekis was excellent in that skit! love him!

  4. OK, but not great. He might gat there though.
Vaughn Meader set the standard, although I think Dana Carvey's Bush Sr. Is wonderful.

    I'm blown away.

The Russian spaceship that was docked at the International Space Station returned to Earth moments ago bringing back 3 astronauts, 1 of which is a NASA astronaut.

What totally blows me away is that the space capsule undocked from the Space Station at 7:09pm TONIGHT and has landed in Kasackstan (SP???) at 10:53 pm TONIGHT. Less that 4 HOURS to return to Earth. I watched it undock and watched it land.

    Holy Crap Batman!!

When I first read the time schedule, knowing it takes a few days for the Shuttles to return, I thought it must be something to do with the International Date Line and it really meant the next day -- then I realized -- can't be as if you cross the line if it's Sunday here, it's Monday there. Less than 4 freaking hours!!!!!

That's less time than it takes to go to the grocery store and back!

Just for giggles, a reporter should ask RMoney why are we hanging around the Russians in outer-space. I suspect a dear in headlights reaction.

  6. The skit was hilarious. The impression of the president was funny. But what's up with the crooked mouth? That's something characteristic of Cheney or Palin...NOT Pres. Obama.

New Obama was OK, not great but certainly funny. The musical guest was not my favorite...decent but too much like Maxwell without being nearly as awesome as Maxwell. The best SNL skits are the political ones, and I can't wait for their primetime special.

Jon Stewart & Colbert are back on Monday. Will be interesting since Mitt stepping in it again this past week!! These guys should not be allowed to take a week off from now until after the elections!!

President Obama is on Letterman Tuesday.

I sat there, a bit dumbfounded at all the "the economy is so fucked" stuff.

Everyone realizes, don't they, that the unemployment rate NEVER goes below around 6%, right?

The stock markets (world wide) are doing just great.

Profits for large corporations have never been higher.

The only thing keeping everyone from declaring it a "victory" is that it would make the President look as if his policies are working.

That, and the fact that those corporations are hoarding money, instead of re-investing it in American jobs, as they normally would, in this type of economy...again, to make progress look slow.

Gee, if we only had a Walter Cronkite to wake everyone up to this.

i am with you. the stock market clearly thinks things are doing better. i am still very concerned for young people and the very high unemployment rate for their age bracket.

I remember many years ago (actually many, many years ago) when full employment was redefined as 5% unemployment. So if a government is willing to accept that there will always be at least 5% of the population unemployed, then it should be willing to bear the burden of helping those people with food, housing and health and work to make them part of the ideal 95% employed.

Funny! They did a great job about Romney. Lol about Romney being a gift and secret weapon.

  11. The thing that struck me as so funny is that it is merely a slight exaggeration of the truth. It was painfully funny - if one is a RMoney fan. Fred Armisden gives the best Obama, but this new guy shows great promise. Sudekis is perfect as the Mittster. SNL should have a field day with this election.

This guy's impression of our President sucks. I don't see at all what's funny about this skit. Couldn't watch more than about 1-1/2 minutes. FAIL.
