Can't help but notice neither have a track record on income growth worth writing home about. Which, in my view, is one of the most urgent needs in our country. Incomes simply aren't keeping up enough with prices for housing, energy, and food. It's a big reason why our savings rate is so low and why we've turned to credit on such a massive level these past couple of decades.
