2012 A Memory or Two.

Well my friends THAT was quite a year!

I am very proud of what we all did together, and am very grateful that so many of you helped to create a little community here at the Immoral Minority.

We had ourselves some lows that's for sure, but damn did we have some highs or what?

Here's hoping that the year that starts tomorrow has just as many highs, and far fewer lows.

Though I have to say, that when it comes to "highs" it is going to be quite a challenge finding anything to compare with the reelection of Barack Obama.  But hey, ya never know.

    This is great !!

Political commentator Sean Hannity was one of the big losers in the 2012 election

The right-wing Fox News host lost half his audience in the weeks after Obama's win

In a fitting coda to 2012, we’ve learned that the ratings for rock-ribbed conservative Sean Hannity cratered after Barack Obama won his second term, with viewers tuning out the Fox News Channel talk-show host in droves.

According to Nielsen numbers, Hannity lost around half of his audience in the weeks after the election, while his Fox News colleague Bill O’Reilly — who steadfastly refuses to identify himself politically as a conservative — (lost 30% of his audience).

    So what happened to Hannity?

The going wisdom is that viewers who basked in his preelection anti-Obama rhetoric tuned him out when they were stunned to wake up on Nov. 7 and discover that the President had won a second term — a scenario that Hannity had all but promised could never happen.

  3. Thank you, Gryphen! That was beautiful. We certainly accomplished something pretty wonderful and extraordinary in the US this year! We, the people, took our government back when we reelected President Obama for the next four years! Thank you, Gryphen! That video made me tear up. I'm so proud of our president and so thankful that over 50% of us voted for him despite the lies and dirty tricks of the Republicans. I'm grateful for this site and others where we can come together. Best wishes to all for a happy new year.

Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama Most Admired in 2012

Americans name Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama as the Most Admired Woman and Most Admired Man alive in the world today. Clinton has been the Most Admired Woman 11 years straight, Obama the Most Admired Man five years in a row.

Amazing, and a triumph of the 100% who were so callously termed "victims" and "took no responsiblity for their lives" by a ultra-rich white man.

He (Romney) who never had to worry about a lost paycheck, a lost job, an illness that he couldn't pay for, a private school he couldn't get in to, or a retirement eating cat food in lieu of paying for prescriptions.

Being an atheist conservative, I'm not 100% on President Obama's side on many issues, but I still voted for him.

If there is one thing the US Constitution guarantees us, it is freedom of religion, and freedom from religion, and a secular nation.

The President's election was a victory over the darkest of the ultra right's fearmongering, racial divisiveness, and their thinly veiled attempt to incrementally institute a theocracy.

Great video, and thanks for all you do Gryphen..
The IM community is great resource, and we have serious hopes for more victories in 2013.

Seeing this made me feel good, simply because I was afraid the President never saw evidence that a LOT of us really appreciate him.

The obscene HATRED spewed by the rightwing nut fringe is so 'loud' that it seems that is all anyone ever hears.

I think we'll hear a lot of "Well, okay, he wasn't THAT bad," comments, by the end of his second term.

Not exactly the ringing endorsement he deserves, but it will be such a relief to finally hear the end of the whining and bitching, and all the lies.

Blaming him for bad weather, and every death that occurs here and abroad, and every lost job, will stop, mercifully.
