Forbes names President Obama "The World's Most Powerful Person." Do you hear that Republicans?

"Who's the bad ass? Why I'm the bad ass, thanks for asking.
Courtesy of Forbes Magazine:

To compile the list, we considered hundreds of candidates from various walks of life all around the globe, and measured their power along four dimensions.

First, we asked whether the candidate has power over lots of people.

Next we assessed the financial resources controlled by each person.

Then we determined if the candidate is powerful in multiple spheres.

Lastly, we made sure that the candidates actively used their power.

U.S. President Barack Obama emerged, unanimously, as the world’s most powerful person, for the second year running. Obama was the decisive winner of the 2012 U.S. presidential election, and now he gets four more years to push his agenda. The President faces major challenges, including an unresolved budget crisis, stubbornly high unemployment and renewed unrest in the Middle East. But Obama remains the unquestioned commander in chief of the world’s greatest military, and head of its sole economic and cultural superpower.

Oh yeah!

I think we should send this article to every obstructionist teabagging Republican politician in Washington and remind them that THIS is the man that won the election, THIS is the man with all the power, and THIS is the man to whom they better start showing some damn respect!

No more obstructionism, no more yelling "You lie" when he addresses Congress, and no more of this kind of shit:

The man has earned a second term, he demonstrated his ability to do the job, and he has earned the respect of the entire world.

    primary guesses

---visiting her rapist son that is in a state mental facility for life
-visiting her other rapist son who is not locked up for life
-getting plastic surgery(wouldn't she end up with a beard if they pulled enough up to get rid of the wrinkles?)

She's in Afghanistan visiting the Arizona troops. It's been confirmed.

She's probably running away from this episode of out of control behavior.

Gee...wonder who's footing the bill for that trip? And why, pray tell, would any governor need to make a visit to Afghanistan unless she's attempting to improve her foreign policy cred?

      an Arizona tax payer

Your last question leaves me speechless- and gasping for breath! ROTFLMFAO-!!!!!

      Wild Tortoise

    5. Anonymous6:29 PM

She belongs on a bar stool in an RV Park, not in the State House. And yes, as an AZ tax payer, I wonder too who is paying for this fiasco. Jan Brewer has no creds period and it started in elementary school. Why, AZ, WHY?

    6. Anonymous8:09 PM

I also read Jan is eyeing a PRESIDENTIAL RUN!!

      Tooooo good to happen

    7. Anita Winecooler9:31 PM

Haven't the Afghan people suffered enough?

  2. Anonymous3:16 PM

He's powerful politically despite this shit. He's powerful personally because he rises above this shit. Every time they show their asses, he stands taller.

  3. Of course they already know this and that is why they are so crazy. Can't stand it.

  4. Sally in MI3:34 PM

Yup. Bested by a black man. Over and over and over again. Have a nice pity party over that holiday ham, GOP. But first, pass the damned Jobs Bill and the tax bill. Then go home and cry to your constituents about how the President refuses to cave into your demands. Thank goodness! And get ready, 'cause it looks like Hillary will be ready to rock and roll in 2016. Buh bye Tea babies.

  5. Anonymous3:39 PM

And it kills me that today the Republican controlled/led House went into recess EARLY. They are so overpaid! Their constituents should hound them back into DC.

Unfortunately, it is not the world which he has to impress. He had most of them in 2008! The only people he needs to impress are physically and mentally incapable of being impressed by this man.

Who do these idiots find impressive? That sick bastard John McCain who is too stupid even to acknowledge he and the rest of the Senate had already said EXACTLY what Susan Rice had said - in an official Senate vote! HE calls that measure "Honoring four Americans who died for their country" and refuses to accept the wording he voted for being crammed in his face!

The sooner shit like that is composted the better off we all will be.

  7. Anonymous3:52 PM

Somebody should have yanked Jan Brewer's fuckin dentures out and given her a slap in the fuckin snoot.

    1. The Prez looked straight at Jan Brewer when she started her deranged alchy act, with his laser vision and made her face melt.
      Obama for the win!

  8. Anonymous4:18 PM

There are so many Republicans currently in Congress and some Republican that are governors across the nation that I'd love to knock silly! I agree w/3:52 about Brewer. What an ugly, ugly (physically too), vial woman - much like Sarah Palin.

People across the nation are sick and tired of the Republicans and their party. They are horrible representatives of the USA! Vote them all out of office next go around folks and get some new blood in their seats. Boehner, Cantor, McConnell, Mint, Ryan and on and on.

  9. Anonymous4:18 PM

And I voted for him both times. I am SO proud of him.

    2. Anonymous3:21 AM

Dude -- how jealous are you that I got to vote for him two extra times! For senate and the senate primary! I still can't believe that it was about eight years ago when I first heard of him. His name started to appear on bumper stickers. I was skeptical -- I said to my then BF, Your name is OBAMA and you want to be a senator? Good luck with that! Ha! My honey said, no, no, he's actually really smart -- you can tell why I'm still with him. He, the BF, us my hubby now!

  11. Caroll Thompson8:27 PM

I have said this before and I will say it again: President Obama is the best in my lifetime. And we Dems get to look forward to Hillary for 2016. Life is good.

  12. Anita Winecooler9:39 PM

I always sensed he was destined for greatness, when he won the Nobel Peace Prize, I knew the world saw what I did. And we have four more years to look forward to, and I'm sure the pedantic Republicans will still be stuck on stupid and we'll get another Democrat in the White House.
It just keeps getting better and better.

Re: Brewer, who knew that there were dry out clinics in Afghanistan! Did Halliburton build them?

  14. Anonymous6:34 AM

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) made an unannounced trip to Afghanistan this week to meet with military personnel, and said that the visit had opened her eyes and perhaps even softened her earlier opposition to President Barack Obama's timeline for withdrawal from Afghanistan.

According to Howard Fischer of Capitol Media Services, Brewer told reporters in a phone interview from Afghanistan that she had entered the country believing the president's plan to withdraw combat forces by September 2014 was too hasty.

"Today, I don't feel that way," she said, according to Fischer. Brewer went on to say that she'd defer to the experts on the broader considerations of the timetable.

"I feel very, very confident that they are doing what [commanders and service members] believe is right ... and they are doing it the right way," Brewer said.

She also called the entire experience "surreal" and said that its easy to "forget that everyone is carrying real guns and they are putting their lives on the line."

"You know that but until you actually see it, it's very different," she added. "It's the real deal."
