Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

President Obama is listening.
By the way I saw this and thought it belonged here.
Listening is the key to positive human relationships. And as we see, it is the key to positive leadership.
Thank heavens, after many frustrating years, we may have a President who truly listens to the voices of the populace, and who has the intelligence to act on what he hears.
Did he have to say "common sense?" Well, I'll tell you one thing, he has more of it than a LOT who claim they do. AHEM.
I hope this is an HONEST bi-partisan effort but I don't hold out much hope. There's too much $$ involved and it it SO sad, like watching a slow train wreck what is going on in this country.
You know, I may be going out on a limb here...but excuse me, I'm almost 60 years old. Give me my two minutes!
I've been following politics for a long, long time and I believe that we are witnessing a president that will definitely go down in history. And no, not because he is half African and half white...No, I think it is something a whole lot more profound than that.
Barack Obama is a special man, born of special circumstances; who has risen to where he is now because of his core values, principles...and sheer determination to do something better for himself and the country where he was born and that he loves.
No, wing-nuts...I'm not saying this is the second coming of Abraham Lincoln..but I believe this is a man what will go down in history, not because of the color of his skin, but because of his character. His intellect, his determination to do what is right for his fellow Americans. This isn't a man who just wanted the title of 'president.' He has proven that he really wants to change things, to bring about change for his fellow Americans, those that aren't the 99 percent..
We are witnessing an immense history right before us. Let's keep our president and his family in our prayers and thoughts.
He's one persistent and patient man. I love how he gets people engaged to pay attention and act. He sees the big picture. I think today's announcement by the NRA just strengthened his resolve.
Gryphen, thanks for the video. I was busy yesterday and didn't catch much of this issue. Now I have the link to sign petitions for assault weapons ban and WBC. Much appreciated!!

Comforting words from a great leader. I sleep better at night knowing that Barack Obama is our president.

Well said.
DeleteOh... and you couldn't be more correct, by my similarly aged lights.
DeleteNasty, I have to add my two cents to that, too, including the age part.
DeleteRIGHT ON!!!!!!!!

I wonder if anyone paid attention to all the signatures on the Westboro petitions to revoke their tax exempt status and declare them a hate group.
