Are we finally able to make this claim? Update!

With Palin losing her job at Fox, Nordquist watching his control over the Republicans fading fast, and Teabaggers losing their political positions by the truckload, are we now at the point where we can take a fork and stick it into the Tea Party?

Update: It looks like the Fiscal Cliff bill was passed by the House tonight.

This courtesy of CNN:

With bipartisan support, the House approved the fiscal cliff bill late Tuesday night after Republican leaders ultimately decided not to try and tack on an amendment to the Senate version of the legislation.

Certainly not exactly what either Democrats of Republicans were hoping for, but if anybody comes out the biggest losers on this it is the Tea Party. They went to Congress for the sole purpose of obstruction, but it looks like they were steamrolled on this one.

  1. Grover is spinning what is happening in DC today to make it seem as if he and the Republicans and the Tea Party got almost everything they wanted, like making the tax cuts permanent for the "middle class" (those making under $450,000). Like it was his idea all along. Are we supposed to forget just how hard he fought this all along?

Yeah we know. The repubs wanted the tax cuts to remain for everyone and they had to give up for those over 400K. That's going to be a hard one to counterspin now.

Steele today was PO'd on the deal as the tax cuts weren't paid for. WTF???

The man is devoid of a brain in that he conveniently forgot that according to his Rethug Bagger party -- they didn't need to be paid for according to the last extension.

We are almost there. West is toast, Ryan is too radical, Nordquist is done, Sarah is too busy making a fool of herself with pictures on Facebook,
and Bachman is even more Batshit crazy than before.

I think that is probably wishful thinking on our part.

You will still have to wait for all of the prejudice against minorities, LGBT community, other religions, other cultures, anyone who is just a little bit different. Maybe in another generation or two.

Bachmann was just re-elected. She just asked her fellow congress members to follow her and refuse their pay raise that was just offered to them. I think all of them should be given a pay CUT. I think Fox will still have Sarah Palin on with Greta but that is not prime time. O'Reilly and Hannity shows are toast. Fox will be looking to replace them soon.

Palinbots over at Sea4Pee believe that Sarah or Bachmann should be the next House Speaker. Could Sarah even be eligible for House Speaker since she's not an elected Congresswoman.

Unfortunately yes, anyone can be speaker of the house. You just have to be nominated and voted on.

      Boner has already been outed.
On NPR the other day they said something like he's no longer in charge?
If Dem will be Nancy if R will be Cantor.
Then we have another problem if Cantor.

You forgot to include Walsh, the congressmen from Indiana. I was happy seeing him kicked out of office as I was with West. Although seeing West's behavior after the election adds a little more satisfaction and entertainment to his loss.

Walsh is from Illinois, please we have enough weirdo's in IN (Mourdock) so we don't need another one attached to us.

Wow, he did? I for one thought Pres. Obama's comments (and mild warnings) were good; and he seems very tired.

Full transcript of President Obama's post- fiscal cliff agreement -

"Now, one last point I want to make -- while I will negotiate over many things, I will not have another debate with this Congress over whether or not they should pay the bills that they've already racked up through the laws that they passed. Let me repeat: We can't not pay bills that we've already incurred. If Congress refuses to give the United States government the ability to pay these bills on time, the consequences for the entire global economy would be catastrophic -- far worse than the impact of a fiscal cliff."

There is something very strange about Sarah Palin's Facebook New Years Greeting. There are two of them, posted an hour apart. First the commonsense constitutional conservative bible verse paragraph, and then the exact same thing following by photos of Todd holding Trig, Trig (four and half or almost five) eating baby food from a baby spoon, and two pictures of Piper. None of the photos are flattering. Piper driving a car. I didn't realize that she was old enough to get her license. But, why would Sarah need to post two greetings-- especially since she had been silent for longer than Sarah is usually silent. Hmmmmmm

Easy: she's the one in charge of her Fakebook and she screwed it up. Remember her psycho tweets after she quit as governor and had no staff to do her tweeting?

Bekki is probably out of a job because Ma Palin now needs all her PAC $ for herself, to make up for the million-dollar-per-year loss from FUX.

Whoever is photography editor of Sarah Palin's post should hand in his or her Kodak Brownie. The pictures are so random, so out-of-contect, and, especially, so unflattering to the subjects. What message are we supposed to take away from barefoot-man-at-Christmas, Tripp looking alone and downcast in a deserted "Christmas" scene, Piper at the wheel, poor Trig next to the dog whose tongue is hanging out, waiting for the baby food, Trig on Todd's lap not wearing glasses or hearing aids?

Even Ellie Mae, Jethro and I figured out how to compose flattering pix of ourselves, then point and push the little button on the camera. We don't have the postage money to hire a fancy brancy to put words into our mouths, but we know our Bible, and we suspect someone who needs to throw in Bible-de-gook telling others what they should do.
A woman without a college degree that she can prove, married to a barely-high school graduate, who's produced five kids, the eldest three of whom couldn't get through high school, the next one being home=schooled or something (on SPA she couldn't spell or do math) and a Down child without the care to help him eat and see and hear: well, if this is "living vibrantly," I'll go for contemplative, mature and responsible any day.
You all have a great New Year, gosh darnit.

The answer is pretty simple once you realize that Sarah Palin has Dissociative Personality Disorder. One personality asked Nancy French to post the first post. Then another personality posted the disjointed pictures post.
      See?
      Easy.

  19. The Tea Party people act on emotion; fear, anger, hatred of Obama. This ensures that they are irrational. This latest defeat will only fuel those emotions in them. They have already revealed themselves as incapable of addressing the issues of this country with sane, concerned, rational maturity. The establishment Republicans during McCain-Palin campaign allowed their ugliness to swing these snarling ideologues into a solid voting base. Now the same Republicans are stuck with a bunch of recalcitrant fools, and the adults in the party are getting fed up with having to cater to them. The GOP will either implode with stupidity, or gradually wrest the power from the destructive Tea Party faction.

Meanwhile, the majority of people in the nation aren't having their nonsense, their petty tantrums, their unreasonable willingness to actually serve this country, (i.e. honor their oath of office).

The Tea Party has lost any credibility to all but their own diehards. They'll continue to make noise, but who will listen?

    1) Did I miss the part where she didn't get her Fox contract renewed?

    2) I went straight to Facebook, and there's only the one entry. Did anyone take a shot of the one she has now erased?

Go to this link: http://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin Both posts are still up there. Second post with photo of Trig and Todd in left hand column. A little further down, in right hand column, original post without photos. In both cases, you have to clip on "continue reading" or "see more" to see the entire paragraph (and photos).

Explanation? The Ghostwriter put up the post and emailed a copy to Sarah. Sarah didn't bother to check first and put it up along with photos. Maybe.

Unfortunately we still have the Koch Brothers, the architects of the Tea Party, and Grover Norquist who will exert pressure on those who caved in. They may be quiet for a few weeks but they will be doing their best to continue to destroy the country.

One of the very best things in the bill, which none of the media seems to care about enough to even mention it IS....... no automatic pay raise for these sorry assed politicos and there isn't a damned thing they can do about it! Score another WIN for our brilliant president. LOL LOL LOL

I asked on dim-bulb's facebook page how the contract negotiations with Fox were going. Snark, of course. Here's the answer I got:

"Many conservatives are hoping she won't renew her contract so she'll be a free agent and able to appear on other networks, etc."

So, that's going to be their line when she is no longer on Fox. She freed herself from encumbering responsibilities so she could be more "rogue". Just like when she quit as governor.

I wish it was true that the Tea Party was OVER. It is so destructive. But I was listening to a report on what the GOP gerrymandering has done. It has diluted the Dem vote to such an extent that the GOP nut-jobs in congress do not have to worry about being re-elected? How did this happen? If there were more votes for Dems in the house (adding them all together) than for GOP reps how is it that the Dems have no influence on gerrymandering? I am alarmed by this and confused. Anyone know what can be done?
