Final thought for the night.

I think that a lot of our politicians these days would be well served to keep these words in mind.

As a matter of fact so could we all.

Risk analysis is not cowardly, in fact it's the mark of a good leader. A dead hero is not a leader.

      Anonymous coward says what?

If you're referring to Jesus, you're just being a bigot. If you're referring to MLK, you're just being a racist.

Either way, judging by your shallow comment which is off-topic, you obviously are lacking the abilities of critical thinking and reading comprehension. Plus, you're nothing but a coward, and I have a strong suspicion that you're one of our regular lurking trolls, THE Creepy Chuckie, Jr.

If you don't have a cause that you personally are willing to give your own life to advance, you're not much of a man. Not in order to be a hero--- that's the kind of immature thinking that goes with the Palin/Heath grifters--- but to do the right thing, regardless of the blowback.

You sound like you have no principles or moral compass. So who the fuck do you think you are to be someone who can define the qualities of an effective leader? I'll answer it for you. You are nothing, and no one who matters. Just like the crowd you run with. Any of 'em. All of 'em.

Whenever I read one of his quotes it reminds me of President Obama at the dedication of his statue.

    The dream lives on...

Oh, but Gryphen, today's politicians DO keep that idea in mind, albeit slightly modified. THEIR question would read: Is it right - FOR ME?

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
