President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's interview on 60 Minutes from last night.

Part One

Part Two

I will resist any urge to tell you what I think this is all about, and instead simply provide this platform for all of you to discuss YOUR impressions.

However as you discuss I WILL offer a somewhat interesting image from our friends over at Politicususa:

Take it for what it's worth.

If she were my sister, I would tell her that if she wanted to continue to have a relationship with me she would have to stop with the crazy talk. Let her know that her ignorance and fear mongering is something you are not interested in condoning. Sorry if that sounds harsh; but, sometimes that is the only way to get through to people whose opinions are not based on reality.

Thanks for this, Gryphen! In my area, 60 Minutes was preempted for...talk about golf. There was no actual golf to watch, just pictures of Torrey Pines' beachfront and the sound of idiots yammering on and on and on about golf.

  3. I saw the interview. Yes, of course Sec. Clinton is going to run for president in 2016. What astonishes me most is not her nor the president (not that they don't astonish me, in a negative way) is Bill Clinton. He bold-faced lied to the American people. Got officially impeached. And is more popular than ever. Talk about immoral morals - what's up with that?!

The entire blow job impeachment was a fiasco of the highest order. What a man does in the privacy of his own love life is between him and his partner(s), same for women. However, Bill did lie about his affair, and that's what did him in, the lying. He's a likable man though, undeniably.

Most of us don't sit on some sort of "moral high horse" oh but if you do, and you feel that you live a life above judgement, then by all means, judge away. Your God just looovveeesss it when other people do the judging for him....

BTW, did you consider it a moral felony when Mitt Romney "lied for the Lord" from coast to coast for over 6 months while campaigning? Did that pass your little morality standards test?

I don't care who sucked off Bill Clinton, and neither should you.

    2. Yes, jesse, by all means let's vilify a man who has done more good for the world than anyone I can think of, because little Newt, in the midst of an affair with Calista, saw an opportunity to try to bring him down and couldn't resist. And how much did Ken Starr make on the deal? The whole thing was a circus of the GOP's making. And I'm sure that you are as incensed as we are about Vitter's prostitutes and Joe's failure to pay child support. I see you were first in line to ask THEM to resign.

Let's see. Bill lied about consensual sex with an adult, just like Newt, the guy in Nevada, and a few others. (BTW, Reagan, icon of family values, divorced his wife to marry his pregnant mistress) I'm not condoning it, I'm just not seeing the national security issue.

Bush-43 lied about WPD to his Secretary of State and the nation which got us into a war and killed thousands of people.

Romney lied to somebody, frequently but it's hard to know when he was telling the truth, and when he was lying. Don't know what he really believes.

    1. The Queen! The Queen! Of course, she has to manipulate the primaries so she never has to do one of those gotcha debates, a TV interview anywhere, or deal with those nasty reporters who ahte her family so much they 'make stuff up.' Otherwise, no problem!

Well, Marco Rubio has believe it or not, already been to Iowa, twice!
I know some on the Republican side are pulling for Christie or Bush (Jeb, not his idiot brother again).
Rubio however fills their idea of reaching out to minorities.

The current darling of the party Marco Rubio is probably the front runner but don't count out the wannabe darling, Bobby Jindal. No doubt there will be a push to draft Christy as well as Susana Martinez of NM and yes, the darling of the Tea Party, Nikki Haley. I also would not count out a run by Paul Ryan...he seems to be getting a bit more face time since the new year.

Palin's PAC ends 2012 with nearly $1.2M on hand

Sarah fleeces her ignorant bots to the tune of millions:

Palin’s leadership political action committee, Sarah PAC, finished the year with $1.2 million in the bank, according to a report to the Federal Election Commission covering roughly the final month of the year.

In all, a POLITICO analysis of FEC filings found, Sarah PAC spent $1.5 million on fundraising in 2012 — accounting for more than 60 percent of all its spending and far outstripping the $236,000 it donated to candidates.

Palin has used the PAC to maintain a small political staff, travel the country speaking to political audiences and build a donor list.
It will become even more important for the former Alaska governor if she intends to keep a foothold in politics, since her split last week from Fox News after three years as a paid commentator on the right-leaning network deprives her of her largest platform. Additionally, Palin’s political star power dimmed since her 2008 GOP vice presidential campaign has faded into the past, and the tea party movement that embraced her has seemed to lose steam.

Sarah PAC paid $585,000 in 2012 to a small team of consultants — including speechwriter Rebecca Mansour, finance director Tim Crawford and coalitions activist Pam Pryor — who form the backbone of Palin’s political operation.

I didn't get the feeling this was anything more than warding off any suspicions that Hillary was resigning due to a conflict between the two of them or anything to do with Benghazi. It was certainly fun to watch.

60 Minutes also had a masterfully done report on Lance Armstrong's fraud against the American public, how he used intimidation and powerful connections to protect himself, and how he lied during the Oprah interview.

Wasn't Palin's fraud more potentially damaging to the nation and more worthy of investigation than that of an athlete?

  9. If this is an unstated endorsement of Hillary for 2016, what does that say about Obama's opinion on Handsome Joe Biden?

And Hillary may not want to run either. It is less than two weeks since the inauguration. I'm willing to put off agonizing about 2016 until 2015. Let's get control of the House again in 2014. First things first.

    Sarah Palin,

Please listen to President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton discuss how they don't have time to dwell on criticism because they are too busy working to better our country. This is how adults operate.

    Thank you
