Imagine a World Without Hate.

It takes a moment to recognize the brilliance of this video, but once you do it hits right in the feels.

I think it was seeing Matthew Shepard that caused the catch in my throat.

Someday.

Thank you for posting this thought provoking video Gryphen.... .you always seem to give us some hope along with the dreadful facts. I would include the Kennedy brothers along with many others as we remember the powerful leaders we lost. I have just watched Hubris again...the after show discussion is really good, different people this time. The one thought I keep having with this 10th year detailing all the lies, the incredible lies by Bush...is Cindy Sheehan. Remember that mother who was relentless protesting Bush and the war even in front of his ranch, getting arrested countless times. The death of her only son was so profound she was driven for months giving up her life, job, everything to keep protesting both wars. I can't help but wonder what all this news does to her, the truth being told her son died for nothing. How is it all these war criminals continue living with tons of wealth and profess no regrets. Martin Bashir made the comment about Tony Blair, he can't show his face in England because of the hatred over his part in all this. Why is it only the good die young and these monsters go on?

Hubris was even better this time with the discussion.
I thought of Cindy as well. She highlighted the sheer cowardice of GW Bush.

That's what bothers me most. How these cowards have no consciences whatsoever. They actually wrote books and tried to profit from what they did while "rewriting history". Cheyney has a reality show, what's next????
How many pints of blood were shed? Soldiers, civilians and innocents?

Thanks for the video; I cried. It's a good time to contemplate the damage we suffer from hate and violence, as President Obama gave his speech of optimism for the Middle East.

But it's our own country's violence and hate that is also out of hand; and with the proliferation of guns and lack of training in non-violent solutions to problems, it is difficult for victims to feel confident to stand up to the bullies and hate groups, and for what we believe is right.

John Lennon himself killed by a gunman - do we see the irony yet? Have we made any progress since then?

To accomplish this the blogosphere and any outlet where people are allowed to anonymously spread slander and attacks would have to cease to exist.

    2. C for P would definitely have to be taken down - being they attack their President every second post. laugh a minute over there - they have pictures of the woman who has NO idea how to dress - what is appropriate clothing - even at a sports game.

Tell it to your Queen Sarah who showed up in public wearing a chick-fil-a shirt in support of discrimination against homosexual people.

  6. Jewish tradition says humans live on earth only as long as it takes them to build their souls. Matthew, beautiful and much-loved boy, must have completed his journey on earth, building his soul, before he was killed by barbarians who didn't know what they were doing.

The angel Raphael, God's healer--again according to Jewish tradition--would have caught Matthew as he passed.

I've watched this video a few times already. It is so profound and touching. John Lennon was brilliant. His words still inspire.
