Your feel good post of the day. Brooklyn judge slams birther for filing "frivolous" lawsuit, demands he repay court for wasting its time.

Christopher Earl Strunk not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.
Courtesy of Little Green Footballs:

A birther’s lawsuit was born of a crackpot theory.

That’s what an irritated Brooklyn judge said in slapping a preeminent conspiracy theorist with a hefty bill for filing “a frivolous” suit and wasting the court’s time.

Christopher Earl Strunk sought to have President Obama disqualified as a candidate. The author of some 20 other lawsuits — most of which have been dismissed — Strunk was ordered to pay $167,707 in attorney fees plus a $10,000 sanction for the 2011 lawsuit that named Obama, New York’s Board of Elections and a list of others as defendants.”If the complaint in this action was a movie script, it would be entitled ‘The Manchurian Candidate Meets The Da Vinci Code,’ ” wrote Judge Arthur Schack, calling the allegations, “fanciful, delusional and irrational.”

When the judge dismissed the suit a year ago, he blasted birther arguments that contend Obama isn’t a natural-born U.S. citizen.

Schack also mocked Strunk for claiming a “massive conspiracy to defraud American voters (that) was perpetrated by hundreds of individuals, at the behest of the Roman Catholic Church and especially the Jesuits.” He imposed the fees for three law firms that opposed Strunk’s lawsuits.

Well, that should put a smile on MY face for the rest of the day.

I loved this part, " If the complaint in this action was a movie script, it would be entitled ‘The Manchurian Candidate Meets The Da Vinci Code."

THAT is gold.

    Re: budget

But it is like a business's budget and it's clear as day most of our elected leaders have no insight into how businesses are ran, hence democrats disrespect for them and th emillions of successful business owners, who ironically pay their wages ans fed taxes

    o/t

    From philly.com:

At 5 p.m. Friday, Archbishop Charles J. Chaput will celebrate a Mass dedicated to Terri Schiavo at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul. Sarah Palin will speak afterward at a fund-raising dinner at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. A ticket is $150, and 350 have been sold; $25,000 gets you a visit with Palin, but no takers so far, Schindler said.

They have jacked the price for the private meet and great from 1500$ a few weeks ago to 25k$. Methinks Sarah is nervous about what Philadelphians would want to meet and greet her lol , so she made it unattainable for most.

350 tix at 150$ a pop is only 52,500$. After her fee and expensive and renting a pricey venue - these people can't be making a dime

That or the fundraiser realized that not enough tickets were selling to cover Palin's expenses so they upped the ante in the hopes that a few suckers would bite.

    2. I hope that ghoulish meet-and-greet is a disaster, and the attendants are mocked from sea to shining sea. I’ll do my part.

I think that it is particularly reprehensible to use the memory of Terri Schiavo to raise money for what? Sarah Palin? Anti-abortion politics? Neither the Catholic Church nor Sarah Palin should try to cash in on what was a family tragedy years ago.

Maybe someday someone in Sarah Palin's family or in the archbishop's family will be "brain dead" and the ventilator and feeding tubes, etc. will have to be disconnected. Let's hope that all of their family members have made medical directives about end-of-life issues. Even with the instructions it is not an easy decision for anyone to make and certainly no one should ever even think of wanting to cash in on it.

So if this a fund-raiser (for what, who knows?) and in honor of the late Schiavo, what is it that the hateful Sarah Palin can add to the occasion? Her one speech is about hate of the President, government, and currently, political advisors. I guess she could roll out her 'sanctity of life I am a hero because I had a DS baby I could have aborted' Women of Grace speech again. But really, she has nothing of value to add to any issue. And wanna bet she wears the hooker shoes and a short skirt with her 'girls' hanging out of a tight shiny blouse? Such class. Such dignity. Such a waste of air.

What did the Teaparty/crazyDroid/zero-information folks think was going to happen when a charismatic Harvard trained black guy was up against a cranky deluded old fart like McCain?

Where were these nutcases when GW Bush was driving us over the cliff edge of financial ruin, putting unnecessary wars on the credit card, and bloviating idiocy like "mission accomplished" in his bulging codpiece?

Claming President OBama is a Muslim agent of the devil,, born in Kenya, and has 666 tattoed on his arm is just insanity defined.

When you hear the rill 'Muricans from the heartland claim how exceptional we "Muricans are, I hear my friends in Europe saying:

"you're exceptionally religious, superstitious, pig ignorant,, fat, culturally blind to the rest of the world"

Just spend 15 minutes at the "people of Walmart" website.

“fanciful, delusional and irrational.” . We need more judges like him, cut out the bullshit and save the trial time for REAL cases.

    Thanks, this made my day!
