Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
Toomey is my senator, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, but he has earned my grudging respect. First for working with Manchin on the background check bill and now for speaking truth to the GOP obstructionist bastards. I just might have to unblock Toomey's emails.
Pat's one of my senators, before they voted, I wrote him and asked politely for him to vote for the bill. When he did, I sent him a thank you letter. I also signed petitions and called the democrats along with the republicans who shit their pants.
Thank you, Mr. Republican, for finally saying it out loud. Everyone has known it but no one would say it out loud. I hope this remark doesn't just disappear at the start of tomorrow's news cycle - this needs to be talked about. That remark could be the end of this guy's political career. Or maybe it will make a hero out of him - I don't know. Will the American public finally put it's foot down with this do-nothing Congress? It will be interesting to see what happens next.
I would call that treasonous! Those corrupt bastards have forgotten who they are supposed to be working for - the American people - and pledge allegiance to the special interests who finance their campaigns.
Finally...someone actually announces the truth...the truth that we all have known since 2008. Those fucking Rethuglicans are going DOWN big time. And I can't wait to see them rot in the bright daylight o honesty.
I assume many have been following this story. Last night, whoever handles the Netflix (US) Twitter account posted the following:
Netflix US @netflix #SarahPalinFilms "Iron Sky" http://nflx.it/11AZvLR pic.twitter.com/sPWQTQ8Bdl
The link takes you to a comic-book style movie about a Palin-like president. After the Nazis were defeated in 1945, they fled to the moon... From Wiki: "The film opens in 2018 with an American manned landing mission returning to the Moon. The lander carries two astronauts, one of them a black male model, James Washington, specifically chosen to aid the President of the United States (Palin parody) in her reelection (various "Black to the Moon" word-play posters are seen in the film, extolling the new Moon landing)."
Not a film I would have noticed (though now I'm considering watching it for the lulz, if there are any).
However, this tweet got the flying monkeys' propellers on their beanies a-twirlin'!
The minions at the peepond are actually trying to convince other members to cancel their Netflix subscriptions. I believe 2 have done so to date, maybe 3.
Blah, blah, blah... usually fake-victim crap.
And it's all the more funny considering THIS was posted on Breitbart in February: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Hollywood/2013/02/09/Top-5-Reasons-Conservatives-Should-Champion-Netflix-Streaming
Those poor lackeys must be running in circles, trying to decide what to do... hoping sister sarah will tweet them with instructions.
I don't understand these politicians. Seriously, as a voter, how much would you love it if your senator came out and said, "Some things are more important than politics and I'm more than willing to lose over this vote"?
Seriously, who advises these people? A secret cabal of Martians? Everything they do completely defies human logic.
If I remember correctly, the lead traitors who are committing this fraud against the people who elected them actually met to plan Obama's political demise during his first inauguration. To call them pigs insults the porcine clan. They remind me of the sociopathic kids who fire up cats and shoot dogs for sport. Bastards.
Gee whiz. Some of us have been saying since January 2009 that the Republicans in the Senate have absolutely refused to cooperate with President Obama for no reason other than his party affiliation. Toomey among them. This is not news to many Americans, Mr. Toomey, although it may be news to you. Now how about cooperating with the President on other issues - like stopping the sequester nonsense and moving the country forward. Beaglemom
Jon Stewart had a really hard interview on the show Wed night...Kay Baily Hutchinson, her seat went to the newest asshole on the hill, Ted Cruz. He is such a master of grace I swear, you know how disgusted he is with this Senate, and listening to this woman describe Mitch McConnell's leadership command at the beginning in 2008, (WE WILL STOP EVERYTHING OBAMA WANTS....EVERYTHING!!!!)....it really didn't have an effect on the Senate. OMG she said that with a straight face and kept complimenting him with working with Biden. In the end you knew she was disgusted herself, like all the rest of them bailing out after decades....not an easy gig anymore. Just like hearing Sandra Day O'Conner FINALLY admitting they totally fucked up giving Bush the job. Did you see that scumbag Scalia at the WHCD Sat night? This country is the joke of the world...not the shining light on the hill. Sorry for the drama but now the news is full of the bombers 3 friggin friends..overload.
This is news?!?!
ReplyDeleteNo, but it is rare for a Republican to say it out loud.
Deletehrh You get a drink with Mitch McConnell.
Deletehrh:
Deleteare you smokin' somethin' good? gimme some!
yes Her Royal Highness, it this you sarah as hrh?
DeleteEvery one of those Bastards should be voted out.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't pass because a majority actually read the bill. Not that this is common practice in Congress.....
ReplyDeleteFormulate a background check bill on background checks, and not chaff....and you might see it passed.
You want to try reading what Toomey said one more time? I think you missed the main point completely.
DeleteTo clarify: NOTHING this President wants will get by Congress if the Repubes have any say in it!
Thanks for your deep insight. Dos Equis night tonight?
DeleteHow so? Or do you just believe the McConnell and company BS about background checks?
DeleteI read the bill. Give it a try.
DeleteRead it all you want. The fact STILL remains that even a perfect bill would not have passed - simply due to the above statement.
DeleteTHAT is the crux of the matter here, NOT what was in said bill.
Toomey is my senator, and I can't believe I'm going to say this, but he has earned my grudging respect. First for working with Manchin on the background check bill and now for speaking truth to the GOP obstructionist bastards. I just might have to unblock Toomey's emails.
ReplyDeleteDon't give him too much credit, he did try and walk it back almost immediately after he got some phone calls from other GOPpers.
DeleteTraitors and assholes. Those halfa motherfuckers should be horsewhipped.

ReplyDeleteWow that's a thoughtful method of decision-making for legislation isn't it.
ReplyDeleteFinally...someone actually announces the truth...the truth that we all have known since 2008.

It's called "treason."
ReplyDeleteWhy is ANYONE surprised? Third world country, here we come. Because he's black.
ReplyDeletei've got one word : cocksuckers
ReplyDeleteKOCHsuckers you mean.
DeleteIf you haven't been outraged ever since the obstruction began, you simply have not been paying attention.
ReplyDeleteThis has been going on since Obama was elected. Not exactly news.
