Regardless of what they might say now, there is NO WAY the people at Fox News are happy to see the return of Sarah Palin.

"Didja miss me?"
Courtesy of the Washington Post:

On page 280 of his highly readable book “An Atheist in the Foxhole,” former Fox News “mole” Joe Muto details how Palin came to be regarded in the Fox News newsroom:

[H]er abilities as a pundit left much to be desired. She conversed entirely in shallow, empty platitudes, as if she’d just memorized a list of talking points instead of actually boning up on whatever issue was on her plate. … A few months into her tenure, O’Reilly exploded with frustration when he was told for the third time in a row that Palin wouldn’t be available. “I don’t know why this woman refuses to help us out,” he vented. “And when she does come on, she doesn’t say anything. It’s just the same BS talking points every time.”

Even the “conservative true believers,” writes Muto, came to admit over time that Palin was “every bit as uninformed as her liberal critics had charged.”

Another insight on Palin comes from Muto’s book: She “tended to play hard to get,” he writes, stiff-arming requests for appearances. She also allegedly refused to participate in pre-interview briefings, which “meant that we producers could never brief her on the segment, making it that much more likely she’d get hit with an unpleasant surprise or unexpected question on live television.” So: As unfortunate as this is for Fox News viewers, it’s worse for Fox News producers.

Yeah Roger Ailes might be licking his pudgy chops at the idea of making a few extra dimes for having Palin back to attract anger and derision from the Left, but one has to wonder if it will seem worth it when his whole staff and on air "talent" mutinies.

She is a abscess on the ass of Amerika and its time for her to be popped! So we can heal from her toxic spew.

I don't know why Muto seems to be so surprised at her refusal to meet ahead of time for pre-briefings. She did the same damned thing to McCain!

I think its hysterical that FAUX has gotten Palin back---especially because of the story of how Ailes has lost his mind to paranoia and was caught by Murdoch working in a closet because he thought he was being bugged.
You gotta love those conservatives when they go nuts. They rehire crazies like themselves. Or maybe Rupert isn't paying attention because of the destruction of his marriage. Or maybe he wanted Roger to rehire Sarah Boo Boo because of the destruction of his marriage. Whatever---FAUX implosion, especially if dumb sister Sarah is being allowed to bleat to the sheep, again.

I recently read Murdoch thinks Ailes is crazy but he is amused by it all. I would think the bottom line is ratings for any media executive. May there be leaks to inform about the contract and more inside information. I can't see how Sarah Palin can be of any worth except to stir up trouble, distract, cause chaos and confusion.

The excerpts from her old Fox appearances that showed up this week are hilarious -- not because she failed to do her job in each of the appearances, but because that was the only way she knew how to do her job: calling people names ("Nancy Pelosi is a dingbatl" "Barack Obama is a sociaist") seems to be her only "thought" about the subject at hand.
She couldn't come up with concrete answers and solutions to the problem being discussed, only platitude after platitude about "freedom," "precious freedom," "Our Founders" -- you get the picture.
Tea Party = good. Democrats/Communists/Socialists = bad. A completely black and white world.
Even her small band of true believers are going to tire sooner or later of the odd-looking woman with lopsided hair going on and on about our wonderful country without going beyond the obvious.
As someone said yesterday: when she first appeared in 2008 she was a captivating bomb thrower. Now there are many more bomb throwers, and they're in positions of power. Plus, their "solutions," valid or not, are real. They, too, will get tired of having Palin on the air when they need all the publicity they can get.

Her act is old and it will get older and staler the more she tries to keep up with the crowd. She'll be back in Wasilla with nothing to do before the year is out.

I can tolerate her by ignoring her. But the ones who really want her to go away are those who want to retain the moderate Republican votes that she has repelled by being a Shill for Right Fringe Republicans. I used to be one of those moderates. But now I'm firmly a centrist Democrat. I don't want Sarah advocating for any of the issues that I support, because if she does, we are on the wrong side. She's Toast.

  8. This is about money, period. The only thing that matters to Roger are clicks and eyeballs. It doesn't matter if someone tunes in to fox to laugh at Palin. It doesn't matter if someone clicks on a fox.com story to criticize Palin. All that matters is that they showed up. Period. Advertisers will pay.

So this is a real win for people that actually care about this country. More exposure of the oozing, seeping, rotting, decaying corpse of republicanism, as exemplified by the hateful, racist, sex-obsessed, ignorant, stupid, rage-filled, spiteful, vindictive rantings of Palin.

Keep it up, republicans. You're doing great! Win over those young voters with this shrieking, aging, batshit crazy old harpy.

Whether it is a guaranteed amount or not, this time, Palin wasn't calling the shots. I think that might have been part of the reason for her over the top looking for a fight get in a dig about manhood attack on Maher. Oh, yeah, she's back at fox, but on their terms, not hers. Hence the baffled rage.

This time, she didn't get to swan into the fox offices as queen bee, with everyone falling over themselves to sign her to a contract no matter how high her demands. Poor stupid dolt, she'll never figure out why.

I feel sad that Palin and her nonfactual word salads are again given an audience to spew her venom and poison issues. Palin is polarizing. She portrays people and issues in polar opposite extremes for her personal gains.
Being informed is useless to pathalogic personalities i.e. con artists. They get big payoffs for lying about themselves and everyone else yet con people they are the only honest decent person.

The good news is the majority of America sees through her smoke and mirrors or realized she is stupid, destructive etc. Some people are dazzled that a housewife or teen mom made so much money success not caring how. Some personalities are like minded that compartmentalizing christianity and lying for personal gain, lying to get things for free is them not being a fool.
Such people admire duplicity or the pulling one over on people.

Sarah, since you're reading here, remember that 58% of Americans have a negative reaction to you. That would be called a landslide for your opponent, if you were running for office. Which you're not and never will be.

The "Queen Esther" fairytale will take you only so far, as your hundred or so followers create a pagan golden image to worship.

You need to tell them, now, that your appearances on Fox remove you from running for any political office. Of course you won't do that, tantalizing them about the door that God's opened for you, and someday --- someday -- dream on bots.

God grew tired of being your doorman, Sarah, and he's moved on to just shoring up his religion, with those who really believe in him and don't take his name in vane. Sarah, you blaspheme every time you use His name.

Putting two and two together, it is the day that the Supreme Court gives the ruling for DOMA and California's Proposition 8. Which to me means, that Fox needed Palin's vile mouth to either celebrate the decision handed down by the court in favor of the Baggers, or espouse her vile anti-gay rhetoric attacking the court. This is the reason I feel that she was re-hired, because, sadly to say, she is the only person that can get away with the verbosity to excite the Baggers, whether in a positive note or bashing the Court. No one in the media challenges her spewing; they only report it.

Those crazies at Fox and Friends are regularly spoofed on Saturday Night Live. Somehow, they manage to stay on Fox. I think that their appeal to Fox viewers is that they are as dumb as the viewers; they can understand the Friends. Sarah will fit right in.

We have no idea what kind of contract was negotiated for Sarah when she was hot and Fox was willing to pay her a million or more a year. They must have realized that she was a joke, but a contract is a contract. A smart lawyer could have written in a renewal clause where Fox had to make a reasonable offer when the original contract was over. That is when they offered Palin a much lower salary, one that she could refuse.

I wonder if that smart lawyer wrote in another clause, one that gave Palin so many months for Sarah to consider the offer before accepting or passing. Sarah must have thought that she could keep her game going by Facebook and Twitter. She needs Fox. As for Fox needing Palin, they said that Palin would appear on both Fox News and Fox Business daytime and primetime shows. Sarah is going to be sitting on that couch with Gretchen, Steve and Brian, four dummies in a row. I can only hope that when SNL comes back in the fall, they have new material for another spoof.

I think she'll be a split screen yapping head in the corner, blathering from her home studio in Alaska (or Arizona). I can't see her actually moving to New York and showing up for work in the morning.

She will not be happy at side by side comparisons of her with Gretchen. She does not play well with others so it will be interesting to see what the other fox employees who actually work at their jobs (however stupid the results) allow to show in their interactions with Queen Pissypants.

Skank has nowhere to go-no one wants her so she crawled back to roger beggin to get another chance. All of the rants on twitter and Facebook was to get followers and attention to show roger she could still bring in the old boys.
Roger will see soon enough that she won't be bringing in more than tens of viewers and that will be the end of this little experiment.

It won't matter if she is scripted and they have five teleprompters and someone with cue cards for her to stay on point-she is an idiot and incapable of keeping a thought in her drug addled brain for more than a second. Look at her speech at the high school with notes-she still couldn't stay on topic and most of the time she seemed like she didn't understand what she was saying.

Nope-this arrangement is not going to last. And hopefully Ailes knows what is coming down the pike for the grifting hillbillies and hired her so Fox News could be the one who airs the dirty laundry live:)

The Republican Party leadership opened a Pandora's Box when they embraced with open arms the irrational, ignorant, intransigent, fear-mongering, xenophobic, conspiracy theory-promoting tea party and the intolerant, sanctimonious, theocracy-driven, homophobic, socially-regressive Christian conservative movement.

Now they are pondering whether to shove these two overlapping extremist factions back into the box and bury it so that the GOP can be viewed by the nation's populace as a party of serious, rational, informed politicians striving to serve the needs of the vast majority of Americans.

    Good luck with that.

A swath of major Republican figures, including a straight flush of 2016 presidential hopefuls, have gathered in Washington DC this weekend for Ralph Reed’s Faith & Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” Conference.

Reed first came to prominence in the 1990s when leading the Christian Coalition, a faith-based activist group that was heavily influential on Clinton-era Republican politics. Many have characterized the Faith & Freedom Coalition as the Christian Coalition for the Obama age.

Featured speakers at the conference range from Texas Governor Rick Perry to controversial candidate for Virginia lieutenant governor E. W. Jackson, while a who’s-who of conservatives, including Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum, and Marco Rubio are also in attendance.

The conference gives national GOP figures a chance to bolster their evangelical credentials, especially on issues like gay marriage and abortion, but also risks aligning the Republican Party with narrow social conservative positions at a time when the party is seeking to rebrand itself as more moderate and inclusive.

Sarah Palin Takes A Pay Cut and Does the Walk Of Shame Back to Fox News

After getting dumped by Fox News, and promptly falling flat on her face and into oblivion, Sarah Palin went crawling back to Roger Ailes and got her old job back for likely a lot less pay.

The press release made it all sound like sunshine and kittens. Roger Ailes said, “I’ve had several conversations with Governor Palin in the past few weeks about her rejoining FOX News as a contributor. I have great confidence in her and am pleased that she will once again add her commentary to our programming. I hope she continues to speak her mind.” (Translation: Palin was out of work and getting desperate for attention, so Ailes did a little bargain hunting.)

Sarah Palin said, “The power of FOX News is unparalleled. The role of FOX News in the important debates in our world is indispensible. I am pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at FOX.” (Translation: Look at me!! Look at me!! Look at me!! I’m back on the TEE-VEE.)

You may be thinking, okay, but how do you know Palin took a paycut to come back to Fox News?

    more

...Sarah Palin desperately needed to be back on Fox News. She had fallen completely off the right wing map. Palin was starting to get a taste of former failed vice presidential nominee obscurity, and she didn’t like it. Sarah Palin is incapable of feeling shame, so she probably sees getting her old job back as a win.

This should be confirmation that Sarah Palin never was a star or a political force. She can’t make it on her own. Palin has always needed to be propped up. Ailes realized this after he foolishly paid her a million dollars a year for nothing. I suspect that he wasn’t about to make the same mistake twice, so the odds are the Sarah’s days of seven figure paychecks from Fox News are long gone. However, it is a sure bet that Palin will trying to make up that lost income by going full on Dick Morris and shilling for her PAC on a regular basis.

A life full of failure and quitting has turned full circle. But hey, donate to SarahPAC because maybe she’ll run for reals in 2016.

Cable news is pablum for the masses.

It's all about the ratings. Bigger ratings, more ad sells. We all know that. Everyone knows that the reason Glenn Beck has been reduced to his own little corner of the Internet is because other than ads for ripoff Gold Coin sales, he had practically NO advertisers left, so FOX cut him loose.

So someone has managed to convince TPTB at FOX that Palin will increase ratings and thereby increase ad revenue. Well, they may be right. In fact, I'm pretty sure they ARE right.

This is why The History Channel changed its format from ACTUAL programs about History to asinine productions like "Swamp People" and "Pawn Stars". And why The Learning Channel stopped teaching and became TLC: The Home of Honey Boo Boo.

We're searching for BigFoot on Animal Planet, and the Discovery Channel is keeping us informed on the "Amish Mafia".

    Cable News is no different.

Think of Palin as the "BigFoot" of Hannity, or the "Honey Boo Boo" on Greta. Apparently, a large swath of the US likes to watch the weird & crazy -- and Palin is about as weird and crazy as it gets.

Anonymous10:08 AM Sarah Palin Takes A Pay Cut and Does the Walk Of Shame Back to Fox News

That seems to be the Palins way of life nowadays.

Sarah Palin was not invited to speak at the Republican convention so what did Sarah do? Sarah did the Palin Walk of Shame and paid money so she can get a booth real close to the stage so she could be seen but later backed out.

Did Todd Palin cheat on Sarah by having sex with his girlfriend prostitute Shailey Tripp? After Shailey went public with it Sarah must have wanted to leave Todd because it looks like Todd had to do the Palin Walk of Shame and had to become Sarah's mule by having to carry her purse, hold her umbrella, appear at a high school graduation for 27 graduates, tape dollar bills under folding chairs and do whatever else Sarah demanded of Todd.

Levi got fed up with his fiance Bristol and broke off the engagement. Did Bristol miss Levi boning her the way she's been accustomed to and had to do the Palin Walk of Shame back to him? Levi took her back but broke it off again.

Bristol had to do the Palin Walk of Shame to ABC and accept their offer of being humiliated by having to marry her sister and being wife swapped to a 80 year old woman just to get back on reality tv.

What about Bristol's Palin Walk of Shame on DWTS when she had to wear her gorilla costume and let Mark dry hump her on the floor in front of her parents and America?

Sarah had to do the Palin Walk of Shame back to FOX and take a cut in pay which is better than getting nothing from her Facebook job.

Sarah wasn't invited to McCain's son's wedding so Sarah had to do the Palin Walk of Shame and accept Republic High School's graduation invitation to make it appear as if she had a previous engagement.

Was Sarah forced to do the Palin Walk of Shame and fake a pregnancy? Was Trig really Bristol's baby but Sarah couldn't face her oldest underage daughter being a pregnant Sophomore?

What about Bristol's pregnancy with Tripp? Levi said Sarah offered to adopt Tripp. Was this another underage Palin pregnancy that Sarah offered to do the Palin Walk of Shame again?

What about Bristol's story of having mono and was sent to live with her aunt. Did Bristol have mono or a bun in the oven? Was that another Palin Walk of Shame to avoid having the governor of Alaska having a pregnant teen being seen?

What about Sarah's Palin Walk of Shame hunting fiasco? The world got to see the great White Alaskan hunter Sarah miss hitting a herd of caribous by blaming her rifle and having daddy reload her rifle.

LOL, Sarah had to do the Palin Walk of Shame again by having to go on her Facebook and save face by announcing the story that high school dropout Willow graduated high school early so she could go to hair school. That was a good one.

What about Sarah having to do the Palin Walk of Shame about Sarah raising a combat vet? After Sarah was caught lying she had to stop telling that lie that Track was a combat vet and changed her story to Track is her tattooed warrior.

After Sarah was caught lying again she had to stop announcing she is an energy expert. Another Palin Walk of Shame for Sarah.

Them Palins sure has been doing a lot of crawling and walks of shame. What a pity.

That's what cracked me up most of all concerning "So proud of Willow!" It's called "beauty" school, not hair school, you @ssclown!

Yup Randy that's how America picks a president. Justin Bieber has a chance to be our president as well.

If your learnin' with numbers matches your learnin' with ABCs (they are = they're, not their), that's 35.9 mil.
