Republicans launch "Stop Hillary 2016" website. Looks like somebody's getting a little nervous.

Courtesy of TPM:

Hillary Clinton hasn't even announced whether she is running for president yet, but a Republican super PAC is already taking preventative measures.

America Rising launched a website Thursday, StopHillary2016.org, which solicits money from donors to "prevent Americans from ever having to see another Clinton in the White House."

The PAC's executive director, Matt Rhoades, who had managed the Romney campaign in 2012, wrote in a new fundraising note, according to CNN, "President Obama started his reelection campaign on his first day in office. I saw firsthand how big of an advantage that four year head start gave him in 2012."

"We can't allow that competitive advantage [to] occur again," he continued.

Hmm, it looks like the Republicans are finally starting to realize that their Benghazi conspiracy theories will not have any effect on Hillary's chances in 2016.

That sucking sound you hear are GOP assholes slamming shut in abject terror.

    Competitive advantage doesn't occur when you have no better alternative, none, and I mean NO ONE Republican / Tea Party / Conservative is a stand out as a viable candidate.

    As for the effectiveness of this PAC, I'm sure it will be as smashing a success as for what Joe Miller accomplished in his "Anyone But Romney," project after his major spanking against a write-in candidate.

    But...but...but...BENGHAZI!

    Even if she personally ordered the death of four Americans, I think she would win. Because let's face it, her competition is, Ugh, Another Bush, Curly Sue Conspiracy Theorist Paul, Kenneth the Cuban Page and Ted the Cuban Conspiracy Theorist Who Isn't Even Eligible. There's also Kenneth the Indian Page and Fatty McAngry Face Who'll Probably Lose Points With The Base For Shaking the Negros Hand, Tex McStupid Racist Closet Case, Crazy Eyes of the North and Crazy Eyes of the South (because you don't hear about her but I bet Jan Brewer throws in her hat.) There's also That Dick Face Cheesehead Union Buster Who Has Overseen the biggest drop in state statistics in US history. Personally, I think it will come down to Dick Face. He's the right combo of crazy and "electable." Also -- he has Republican President Hair, which seems to be the most important thing.

      Actually, I'm going to amend this to Marco the Cuban Bieber! I think he's more like Bieber than Kenneth the Page who is nice and kind and caring. I'll give Jindal the Page thing because he's got the voice and also comes off as a goober.

    This is priceless. The guy who couldn't even get Romney close to the President is now sucking money away from the 2014 race? Please proceed, GOP.

      In politics, you have to be willing to do a few shit jobs between elections in order to have steady work if you're not a candidate.

      Bottom line: It's a job that he can get paid for. Plus, they're using all of these scare tactics to drum up support and ensure high traffic for the 2014 mid-terms.

      Right now they don't really care whether or not she's running, because even if she does run, the money will be spent on the 2014 mid-terms because there's no way that Hillary would formally announce before those elections anyway.

      This is just another ruse to separate stupid people from their money, and it will work inside the Repug echo chamber of constant talk of scandals and fear.

    Lowest unemployment in 30 years;

    Raised education standards, increased school choice, and doubled education and training investment;

    Largest expansion of college opportunity since the GI Bill;

    Connected 95% of schools to the internet;

    Lowest crime rate in 26 years;

    100,000 more police for our streets;

    Enacted most sweeping gun safety legislation in a generation;

    Family and Medical Leave Act for 20 million Americans;

    Smallest welfare rolls in 32 years;

    Lowest poverty rate in 20 years;

    Lowest teen birth rate in 60 years;

    Lowest infant mortality rate in American history;

    Deactivated more than 1,7000 nuclear warheads from the former Soviet Union;

    Protected millions of acres of American land;

    Paid off $360 billion of the National Debt;

    Converted the largest budget deficit in American history to the largest surplus;

    Lowest government spending in three decades;

    Yes, I agree, God forbid we ever had another Clinton in the White House !

      Congress has the true legislative power, the final 6 years of Clintons presidency Republicans had majorities in the House and Senate.

    Sure. You keep telling yourself that, Sparky. That's why Romney lost. It had nothing to do with the fact that Americans didn't like him, his character, his contempt for hard-working Americans, his party, his party's platform...

    You keep telling yourself that because as long as you think that is the problem, you will not be able to fix your party or your candidates.

    The GOP will treat Hillary Clinton just as viciously as they've treated President Obama. The racism will simply shape shift to sexism. And it will be ugly. If Hillary Clinton chooses to run, she'll need the support of all of us who do not want another Republican president in our lifetimes or at least until they learn that there are 99% of Americans out there who deserve representation too. And that will probably take longer than any of our "lifetimes."

      it is not racist to disagree with Obama's policies and lies. Nor would it be sexism to disagree with the lies of Hillary.

    So once again, rather than combat their opponents with a positive platform that resonates with the country and well thought out plans for fixing the problems we face... they're just going to go negative and try to smear the other guy and hope we hate their guy less.

    Brilliant GOP, you've learned NOTHING. Keep up the good work!

    Republicans are terrified of Hillary, and for good reason. Against their field of frauds and lackwits, Hillary strides like a Titan. Do they really expect Rand Paul to do better than looking like an errant school boy debating the former first lady and secretary of state?

    Many of us look forward to it, to watching Hillary metaphorically slap Paul around. The ever-quotable Paul seems to be doing all he can today to set up his humiliating political demise tomorrow.

    ...And if she gets the nomination….

    You do the math. The calculus is simple enough.

    The Republicans know this as well as Democrats do. So everywhere the question comes up, how do we stop Hillary in 2016? Since the obvious answer, be better leaders/do a better job now is off the table, you see suggestions like, prove Hillary is a pathological liar.

    That’s an interesting proposal on behalf of the worst group of pathological liars America has ever seen. If you look at Darrell Issa and Trent Franks and Rand Paul and John Boehner and Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, you could submit them to the worst the TSA has to offer and you won’t find a single truth among them.

    Honesty is not a high priority for ideologues.

    The Republicans may have convinced themselves and they may have convinced their base, but that is not the crowd they have to convince. And liberals are overwhelmingly behind Hillary. So, unfortunately for Republicans, are Americans in general, as polling demonstrates, and even young Republicans are being alienated by GOP extremism.

  12. I'm really glad she is keeping a relatively low profile right now. She deserves a rest, and if/when she declares, she'll be ready to come out swinging.

    Mitch McConnell Realizes IRS Scandal Is Over

    ...
    McConnell’s speech is an attempt to reframe the issue in a way that it can survive the utter absence of incriminating facts. One method he employs is to flip around the burden of proof:

    'Now we have an administration that’s desperately trying to prove that nobody at the top was involved in any of this stuff, even as they hope that the media loses interest in this scandal and moves on …'

    Got that? Before Republicans were going to prove that Obama’s administration was involved. All of the evidence suggests it wasn’t. So now McConnell is framing the question as Obama trying to prove he wasn’t involved. Which, of course, he can’t. For that matter, McConnell can’t prove that he didn’t mastermind the IRS. You can’t prove a negative.

    Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) came to the American Enterprise Institute on Friday to give a speech on the First Amendment, but the most memorable moment was his awkward exchange with Norm Ornstein, a centrist political pundit who has apparently irked McConnell over the years.

    Ornstein, also an AEI scholar and congressional expert, was among those who rose to ask McConnell a question after his speech. As soon as he identified himself, McConnell let him have it.

  15. Of course he starts off lying, but what can we expect from one of the lying mormon's staff.

    So now romney the loser lost because President Obama had a four year start. FOH That is very weird, funny and ridiculous at the same time. Only a dumbass gop can come up with this ignorant shit.

    All they are doing is wasting money like rove did during the last election. I hope his donor list have some heavy hitters like rove had. Plus they have to be just as stupid to give their money away to a losing cause again. Good luck with that one, pal.

    I don't care how many years ahead the gop start to discredit the honorable Hillary, it won't help and it definitely won't work.

    gop are so lost that they never see they are their own worse enemy.

    Now on to the insufferable bitch post...

    The staggering thing is how you liberals show your supporter. Even after all the lying that the citizens were feed by the Obama administration from Obama to Hillary, to Carry and Rice, Holder and Janet Napolitano... you all will still defend and support the party of constant lies, disseat, American division and Constitutional attacks to personal liberty and freedoms.
