The reason that conservatives never have their facts right.

Just in case you thought this was a joke, let me assure you it is not.

Some of you may remember that the website was started by Andrew Schlafly, son of Phyllis Schlafly, after he determined that Wikipedia was too liberal. In other words it offered actual facts with citations to back them up.

So ever since2006 Schlafly has been offering up HIS version of truth.

What we in the reality based world call "lies."

By the way here is how Conservapedia defines the Bible:

The Bible is a collection of the most logical books and letters ever written. It includes the most beautiful book ever written, the Gospel of Luke, and the most profound book ever written, the Gospel of John.

Yep nothing slanted or nonfactual about that!

If the Republicans can keep people ignorant, then they might get some votes from those people. Dumb people are easier to control. That is why they gutted the teachers' union in Wisconsin. That is why they want to teach creationism instead of evolution and science. Students who don't know science will get lower scores on their SAT tests and they won'[t get into college. They made sure that college loans and Pell grants would be limited, limiting your chances of going to college. (That dollar taped under each graduate's chair won't buy enough pens to make it through a semester of college). They don't want people to think, and to keep them off balance, they use scare tactics to keep people afraid, very afraid. Sarah Palin keeps the message alive. "You don't need no elite fancy pants education. I didn't care about school, and look how famous I am." Sarah is too dumb to know just how dumb she is. She fits right in. And, frankly, her people like her like that. When Sarah speaks, they think that they understand her.

It is also why they are defunding liberal arts schools and programs in favor of online courses at red state universities. You don't get to be a liberal progressive from an engineering course, but those damn philosophy courses make people THINK, you know?

And this is why the Conservatives lost the Presidential election in 2012 and why they will lose the next Presidential election in 2016. Remember how Karl "Turdblossom" Rove had the meltdown on Fox the night of the election. He assured Mitt that he had the correct polls and he was going to win. Awkward!
That's right Conservaturds go ahead and be stupid.

Oh come on G! Math and science are just too gosh darn HARD and no self-respecting American should have to put up with spending valuable TV watchin' and video game playin' time trying to learn them! Simply label those subjects librul lies and let good folk move on with their lives. Look at the Palins -- people wonder how much outside help it takes to get these single brain-celled individuals washed, fed, and dressed, but they're rollin' in cash!

Think of the money we'll save by abolishing this book learnin' nonsense -- instead, we'll allot everyone a big bag of Cheetos, a 2-liter of Mountain Dew and their choice of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians,' 'Bridezilla,''Bad Girls Club,' 'The Real Housewives of Wherever,' or 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' DVD box sets.

Gryphen, if you spent less time beating up on poor defenseless religion and just a LITTLE more time actually reading the Good Book, you'd be a much thumpier kinda god-fearin' fella. And by Good Book, I do NOT mean Fifty Shades of Taupe (or whatever that sex book is called)

No, I'm referring, of course, to the ACTUAL HANDWRITTEN - or possibly dictated - word of the Creator of the Universe! (it's just so cool that after creating, you know, the ENTIRE FREAKING UNIVERSE, He wisely concluded that to REALLY impress the frail little two-legged creatures on planet Earth, He better come up with some fancy wordifying if He had any hopes at all of commanding their awe and respect. And fear, also, too.)

If you dont have time to read the whole bible tonight, yay, verily, can I at least implore ye to read Excretions 20:13?

Everything you need to know is in that one verse, which I would quote for you here, if I could recall any of it off the top of my head. But, yeah, it's pretty awesome.

Don't forget about Convolutions (BR) 5:49. It says knowledge is good, which is often misinterpreted as 'Go ahead and put your Peter in a meat-grinder. It don't really hurt that much.'

Dear Pastor Dr. BJ Conehead... I have a sneaking suspicion that you aren't who you portray yourself to be. Why, you ask? Well, no halfway self-declared religionist would know the ambiguous word " Taupe" because, well because the world is all Black and White, and White is the one and only Good.

Oh, you just made my day. Once again! Laughter is still the best medicine, even if is triggered by gallows humor! Thank you...

They're probably doing it with no background or extensive training in either Greek or Hebrew. Such proficiencies would probably be considered as 'elitist' by them. But then, Joseph Smith and the other Mormons who didn't know anything about either of those languages also 'rewrote' the Bible for their own purposes, so this is nothing new.

They and many others are living out Karl Rove's prediction when he said, "we will create our own reality." That always struck me as one of the scariest things Rove ever said, and I took it to mean just what has occurred: "we will lead our people off the cliff of facts and logic into an abyss of utter falsehood and delusion on every subject." There is NO WAY you can negotiate with a person who is living in their own alternate reality. The large-scale devolution into this process by the right wing explains why politics (and often human relationships involving such persons) in America is now unfixable.

Book of Mormon = the Second Coming will have Jesus land on a rock in a cornfield in Missouri. Etc. Go to youtube and watch the secretly taped film of the magic moment when a Mormon man shakes God's hand through a white curtain. And this isn't 2,000-3,000-year-old myth, but plain old American hokum, a Ponzi scheme draped in mystical "revelation" to an illiterate farm boy who wanted to have more than one wife. Study up on Mormons and their extra-planetary afterlife. It will give you chills to think that one of their true believers actually got within a few million votes of becoming the Leader of America and the Free World.

These Conservapedia jokers are brain-washed cultists as well.
They aren't "Christian" -- they're just part of a nasty cult that wants to exclude anyone who won't march in step with their rules and rulers. It makes life so much simpler for simple people to be told what to do and what not to do, and to claim that "God" is the boss. They give up their freedom in order to become powerless followers. But not so powerless that they don't want to coerce everyone else into their Klan.

Maddow Eviscerates GOP’s Obsession With Sodomy, Voodoo, Satanism: ‘This Is What Party Is Like Right Now’

    ...Maddow argued:

“This is really is what the Republican Party is like right now. Even after the 2012 elections, and the supposed nationwide tip-to-tail diagnosis that the party needed to re-brand, maybe take it a little easy on the fire and brimstone hot sauce, at least for the next few elections—even after all of that, this is who they are. They are more like this now than they were last year, and than they were the year before that. This is not the Beltway-narrative media about what’s going on in American politics right now, but it is exactly what is going on, if you watch how they behave and who they are and what they say in public.”

Bachmann, Gohmert, & Steve King Appeal Directly To Beck And His Audience: ‘We’re Losing Badly…’

With immigration reform still going through Congress, a number of conservative Republicans are not happy with how their party has jumped on the bandwagon to fight for a bill that concedes the argument to the Democrats. Michele Bachmann, Louie Gohmert, and Steve King made a joint appearance Thursday on Glenn Beck‘s show to lobby him and his audience directly to stand up against a bill that they say is only getting bipartisan support because of how progressivism is spreading throughout the Republican party like a disease.

Michele Bachmann: If ‘Amnesty’ Passes, We’ll Never Again See Another GOP President

According to Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), if this current iteration of immigration reform passes through Congress, there will never again be a Republican president; and, instead, the United States will be governed by a permanent “liberal progressive” majority.

Speaking with WorldNetDaily, Bachmann warned that while her beliefs “may sound melodramatic,” she insists the dire consequences of immigration reform would be “that big and that important” to warrant sounding the alarms.

“This is President Obama’s number one political agenda item,” she said, “because he knows we will never again have a Republican president, ever, if amnesty goes into effect.” She added:

“We will perpetually have a progressive, liberal president, probably a Democrat, and we will probably see the House of Representatives go into Democrat hands and the Senate will stay in Democrat hands.”

This liberal majority, she added, would be based on the “permanent progressive class” created by giving “amnesty” to millions of illegal immigrants currently residing within the United States. As a result of this new voting bloc, she suggested, “you will never again be able to see our country return to its constitutional foundations.”

Obamacare, Public Opinion, and Conservative Self-Delusion

One of the more important conservative beliefs about Obamacare, running right alongside the certainty that the law is a disaster that will fail in every respect, is the belief that Americans share their antipathy to the law. It certainly is true that the Affordable Care Act has a bad reputation, and the latest poll showing that support for Obamacare has dipped prompted the same wave of conservative gloating that results from every such poll. But looking even an inch beneath the surface reveals a public more frustrated and confused by Obamacare than opposed. Its specific elements poll well, though they’re the least known elements. Four out of ten Americans don’t realize the law hasn’t been struck down. A new poll out shows that the public, by a ten-point margin, trusts Democrats over Republicans on health-care issues. By a 52–34 percent margin, they want Congress to implement or tinker with the law rather than repeal it. The nearly ubiquitous conservative belief that the public shares its passion for repealing Obamacare is a spate of self-delusion.

That overconfident delusion is the subject of Ramesh Ponnuru’s long National Review essay pleading with conservatives to stop believing their own bullshit. Ponnuru faithfully affirms the general outlines of the right-wing case: Of course the law is terrible, of course it won’t work, of course it must be repealed. He even repeats the misleading line that Max Baucus warned the law would be a "train wreck." But Ponnuru gently warns that the failure might be slow to arrive, and perhaps not the Greece-esque national catastrophe conservatives have talked themselves into expecting. His account of what conservatives expect to happen, furnished from within the movement, is actually frightening:

A few conservative lawmakers have speculated that the law will crash so badly that the Democrats will themselves demand repeal in the next couple of years.

A few Republicans who believe that these effects should not be put off: that Americans should suffer them so as to see the failure of Obamacare with their own eyes. Only then will they turn against the law and its supporters with the requisite passion to undo it.

Ponnuru argues that Republicans must also get serious, finally, about replacing the law with something other than the status quo. But there’s a reason Republicans don’t make repealing Obamacare contingent on an alternative plan:
