    Give Islam time!!

The religion is 700 or so years younger than Christianity. What were the leadership - and that's the key word, leadership - of the Christian Church up to back then? It's what the leadership of Islam is up to today. That's all.

Give it time... 700 hundred years will fly by.

And how many people will be EXECUTED by them in the name of their religion in that time?

Yes, they are younger. However, today is not the dark ages when communication was so poor. INTELLIGENT people USE that wonderful thing called media to LEARN and try to NOT make the same mistakes others have.

Islam (as practiced by many people) is anathema to analytical thought or even questioning. Their leaders actually train their people to react as mobs. (It's subtle, and christians do the same type of brainwashing.) Remember when the pope was giving a speech and they rioted because he mentioned their well-documented violent history? That's violent ignorance.

Yes, the same history exists for christians, so don't go there as an excuse!

Religion equates to violence if history is any indicator.

You want a real devil? It's called organized religion.

North Carolina Tea Party Republicans File Bill to Establish Official State Religion

    Atheists barred from office

Demonstrating once more that the Tea Party is just the fundamentalist right dressed in fiscal conservative clothing.

North Carolina state Tea Party Republican lawmakers have filed a bill to allow the state to establish an official state religion. The move is a direct assault on the U.S. Constitution and wholly ignores the Fourteenth Amendment. The two sponsors of the bill, freshmen House Representatives Harry Warren and Carl Ford, have already managed to get nine co-sponsors who conveniently have ignored the fact that Rep. Ford’s full-time job: the owner of two North Carolina Gospel music radio stations.

The bill claims “each state in the union is sovereign and may independently determine how that state may make laws respecting an establishment of religion,” and mentions the Tenth Amendment three times. It also argues First Amendment “prohibition does not apply to states, municipalities, or schools.”

Article 6 Section 8 of the North Carolina state constitution reads:

The following persons shall be disqualified for office: First, any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God.

Republican Governor: Pregnant women, breast cancer victims, the poor, need to pay for Medicaid

Republicans arguing against Medicare expansion just hit the absurd, while throwing in misogyny and echoing Mitt Romney’s remarks suggesting Obama voters want’free stuff.’ Saturday Gov. Tom Corbett (R-PA) said that poor residents who are already enrolled in the program, including pregnant women and breast cancer patients, are receiving too much free care and should pay...

Take the religion out of an asshole and he will not be an asshole anymore. —Atheist thought

Take religion out of Israel and Palestine, and there will no conflict. —ignorant about the conflict

Take religion out of Germany and there would have been no Hitler or Holocaust. —non-religious people are color-blind and never xenophobic or selfish

Make both blacks and whites of no religion or the same religion and there will be no hate. —gee, wish MLK Jr. had thought of that

Make sure the sadist or rapist doesn't attend church on Sunday, and that'll fix the problem. —horrible people couldn't possibly self-subscribe to some religion, could they?

For people who claim to be rational, y'all sure like being naive and simplistic about solving world problems.
