|"Why is everybody laughing at me? Dammit, I'm serious!"|
Sarah Palin “quit on Alaska” as governor and “ has lost touch” with her home state, Sen. Mark Begich told POLITICO.
The Democratic senator said Palin, who said Tuesday she’s considering challenging him for his seat in 2014, might not even be a resident of Alaska and is someone he won’t take seriously unless she emerges from a competitive Republican primary.
“I don’t know if she’s a resident. She’s been away from Alaska a lot and has probably lost touch with what’s going on. She should go to my webpage,” Begich said. “Most Alaskans I see on a pretty regular basis, but I haven’t seen her for a long time.”
During an interview Wednesday with POLITICO, Begich questioned four times whether Palin is even a resident of the state she once governed and said his campaign won’t go on the offensive against Palin unless she can handle Joe Miller and Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell in a primary.
“A Republican primary in Alaska? She may not survive,” he said, one of a bundle of choice remarks for the former vice presidential candidate.
“I take every candidate seriously — that is, if she’s still a resident, but you know she quit on Alaska when she was governor,” Begich said. “She’s been somewhat vacant from the state and quit on the state, so I wish her the best on her potential run.”
I have had a lot of reason recently to criticize Senator Begich lately but he is dead right on this issue.
I have several visitors living in Wasilla, and when they see Palin or one of her family members they give me a heads up.
But those alerts are far and few between. Which has led many people living up here to ask if she spends enough time up here to still be considered a resident?
I can tell you what I do know. She fucking hates it up here!
Which if course is yet another reason to discount the ridiculous suggestion that she would want to campaign up here and represent a state that she could not get way from fast enough.
And if that was not enough to convince people than trust that people who would be running against Palin for the Senate seat, Joe Miller and Mead Treadwell, have plenty of information to take her out before she could even get out of the starting gate. Hell Miller alone has so much crap on her that he could probably have her arrested and sitting in a courtroom facing federal prison.
Of course THAT cuts both ways however.
And you do not have to be an Alaska resident to recognize the absurdity of a Senate run by the Quitter-in-Chief.
So. Does the Alaska governor call a special election or appoint a replacement after Palin quits the Senate half way through her term?

We're 10 minutes away from Sarah Palin running for comptroller.

Republicans never look so desperate as when they take a Sarah Palin campaign for Senate seriously.Yep, it looks like virtually NOBODY is taking the bait this time.
